The concept and important role of associative memory neural network are introduced.The development of associative memory neural network is also summarized along with other neural networks such as the Hopfield neural network,the neural network composed of FitzHugh-Nagumo neuron model,the neural network composed of Hodgkin-Huxley neuron model.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical features of cardiac involvement in polymyositis or dermatomyositis(PM/DM).MethodsAll articles published in Chinese and English were retrieved by searching the electronic resource databases.Theeligible articles that metthe predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria were included and then a systemic review was performed.ResultsTotally 23 articles were enrolled in this study,including 1452 patients.The incidence of cardiac involvement was 27.1％-85％.Heart failure was the most frequent (43.8％-76.9％) symptom.Among the abnormal ECG and UCG,the incidence of conduction abnormalities,left ventricular diastolic dysfunction andhyperkinetic left ventricular contraction 25％-38.5％,27.3％-51.5％ and 11.5％-42.3％ respectively.The pathological findings revealed myocardial inflamma-tion,degenerative changes and necrosis similar to those findings in skeletal muscles.Some patients'condition were improved aftergluco-corticoid stero and immunosuppressant treatment.Thirtypatients (30.9％) died as a direct result of heart disease.ConclusionHeart abnormalities are common in patients with PM/DM,most of them are subclinical,however.The efficacy of gluco corticoid steroid and immunosup-pressant treatment are uncertain.Cardiac involvement is a common cause of death.

Objective To evaluate the correlation between plasma D dimer levels and ovarian cancer, as well as its pathologic staging.Methods According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria , articles published about the correlation between plasma D dimer levels and human ovarian cancer were searched by means of PubMed , Embase, CNKI and WanFang Data from their inception to December 31th , 2013.In addition , references′list of the included articles and their related citations in Pubmed were also reviewed for additional articles.After quality assessment of all studies , Meta-analysis and ANOVA were performed with RevMan 5.2 and SAS 9.1 for statistic analysis.Results A total of 13 articles were identified, including 679 cases of ovarian cancers , 685 cases of benign controls and 477 cases of healthy controls.Meta-analysis revealed that:(1) Plasma D dimer levels in ovarian cancer groups were higher than that in benign control groups ( Z =8.61, P <0.000 01 ) and healthy control groups ( Z =6.76, P <0.000 01);(2) Plasma D dimer levels in benign control groups were higher than that in healthy controls (Z=3.15, P=0.002); (3) Plasma D dimer levels in advanced ovarian cancer FIGO (Ⅲ-Ⅳ) were higher than that in early cancer FIGO (Ⅰ-Ⅱ) (Z=3.38, P=0.000 9);(4)But there were no difference between relapse groups and remission groups (Z=1.19, P=0.23).ANOVA revealed that:(1) There were significant difference of D dimer levels among ovarian cancer groups or benign groups , healthy control groups; ( 2 ) Significant increasing of D dimer levels was revealed by Pairwise ANOVA from healthy controls, benign controls to ovarian cancer.Conclusions Plasma D dimer levels were high in patients with ovarian cancer , especially in FIGO (Ⅲ-Ⅳ) ovarian cancer.No difference of D dimer levels were investigated between relapse phase and remission phase.

Objective To evaluate the influence of aging on left ventricular systolic and diastolic function by quantitative tissue velocity image(QTVI) and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP). Methods Sixty healthy participants aged from 36 to 82 years old were divided into age <60 years group (32 cases) and age≥60 years old group (28 cases). Compared traditional echocardiography,QTVI and BNP between the two groups, and analysised the correlation between age and the abovementioned measurements. Results Compared age ≥60 years group with age <60 years group, the ratio of early to late mitral annulus flow velocity(E/A) (0. 92 ±0. 18 vs. 1. 28 ± 0. 18), mean of systolic mitral annulus velocity (Sm) ([6. 04 ± 0.77] cm/s vs.[6. 89 ± 1. 03] cm/s) ,mean of early diastolic mitral annulus velocity (Em) ([5. 67 ±0.99]cm/s vs. [7.29 ± 1. 11]cm/s),the ratio of Em to Am(Em/Am) (0. 79 ± 0. 13 vs. 1.18 ± 0. 33) were significantly decreased (t =5. 396,2.478,4.075,3. 535, respectively, Ps < 0. 05), whereas mean of late diastolic mitral annulus velocity (Am) ([7. 67 ±0. 80]cm/s vs. [6. 80 ± 1. 16] cm/s),the ratio of E to Em(E/Em) (14. 83 ±4.43 vs. 10. 68 ±2. 85), BNP ([51. 25 ± 12. 21] ng/L vs. [14. 15 ± 6. 68] ng/L) were significantly increased (t =-2. 268,-2.995 and-3. 523, Ps < 0.05) . Age was negatively correlated with Sm, Em, Em/Am, E/A (r =-0.411,-0. 631,-0.622,-0. 614,Ps<0.05),and age was positively correlated with Am,E/Em and BNP (r = 0.481,0.614 and 0. 684,Ps <0. 05). Conclusion Left ventricular systolic and diastolic function decreased with aging. QTVI and BNP could evaluate left ventricular function sensitively and easily.

Objective To explore a preliminary health behavior self-efficacy scale for functional dyspepsia patients,and supply a practical evaluation tool for clinical nurses.Methods Through literature review,group discussion and expert interview,the authors established the preliminary index system.The Delphi method was used to organize two rounds of 20 experts consultations.Results In the two rounds of expert consultations,experts positive coefficients were 100％,respectively.The authoritative coefficient of experts was 0.83,respectively.The Kendall's W coefficients were 0.23 and 0.29.The evaluation system included 5 dimensions,11 evaluation indicators,and 42 evaluation items.Conclusions The reliability of the self-efficacy scale developed with Delphi method is relatively high and it can acted as an evaluation tool for self-efficacy and health education of patients with functional dyspepsia.

Objective To explore the protective effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) on diabetic myocardium and anoxic pre-conditioning (AP).Methods Eight-week-- old male Sprague-Dawley rats were given with a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ) (60 mg/kg)to induce diabetes mellitus (DM).Donor rats were 8-week-old male Sprague - Dawley rats.Before transplantation,MSC were incubated in CM-DiI at a concentration of 2 μg/mL for 20 min.AP-MSC were exposed to 3 hours of anoxia.At 4 months after STZ injection,diabetic rats were randomly given with an intramyocardial injection of one of the followings:150 μL of Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium ( DMEM),5 ×106 MSC/150 μL,or 5 × 106 AP - MSC/150 μL (n =10 for each group).Three months after STZ injection and 2 weeks after transplantation,we evaluated the cardiac function by echocardiography,and also evaluated the cardiac conditions by alkaline phosphatase staining,western blot analysis for apoptosis related proteins and signal pathways.Results MSC,especially AP- MSC increased fractional shortening (FS) of diabetic heart (P ＜0.01 vs DMEM respectively).AP-MSC greatly increased the capillary density of diabetic myocardium (P ＜0.01 vs DMEM and MSC group respectively).AP-MSC are anti-apoptotic in the rat DCM model,possibly mediated through cardiac upregulation of Bcl-2/Bax ratio ( P ＜ 0.05 ) and inhibiting the expression and activation of caspase - 3 ( P ＜ 0.01 ).Conclusions Intramyocardial transplantation of APMSC has a protective effect on diabetic cardiomyopathy.

Objective To investigate ultrasonographic features,clinical and histopathologic characteristics of hydrometra in the elderly women.Methods Hysteroscopy endometrial biopsy,dilation and curettage (D&C) and Tao Brush were selectively performed for the endometrial cytologic and histopathologic diagnosis according to the depth of the hydrometra investigated by transvaginal sonography,endometrial thickness and high-risk factors of carcinoma of endometrium in 72 elderly women with hydrometra.Results Among 72 elderly women with hydrometra,9 cases (12.5％) were examined by hysteroscopy,51 cases (70.8％) by D&C and 12 cases (16.7％) by endometrial cytology along with D&C.Histopathologic examination revealed that there were 7 (9.72％) cases with endometrial carcinoma,2 cases (2.8％) with atypical endometrial hyperplasia,6 cases (5.6％) with endometrial benign lesion,14 cases(19.4％)with pyometra and the other 43 cases (59.7％) with normal and simple hydrometra.Conclusions Transvaginal sonography in combination with endometrial cytology are beneficial for screening of endometrial disorders or for drainage of hydrometra in elderly women,decreasing invasive examinations such as D&C.

ObjectiveTo explore the correlation between open field test(OFT) and light-dark box (LDB),as two animal models of state anxiety in Kunming mice.MethodsThe behavior of adult,male,Kunming mice in OFT and LDB was recorded by sequence,for five minutes,with a one-week inter-trial interval.The following parameters were evaluated:percentage of time exploring in the OFT central area( OFT-Ctime％ ) ; percentage of squares crossing in the OFT central area( OFT-Ccross％ ) ; total number of squares crossing in OFT(OFT-Cross) ;total number of rears in the OFT(OFT-Rear) ; number of fecal boli in OFT(OFT-FB) ; percentage of time exploring in the LDB light area( LDB-Ltime％ ) ; percentage of squares crossing in the LDB light area( LDB-Lcross％ ) ;and percentage of rears in the LDB light area( LDB-Lrear％ ) ; transitions between two areas in LDB( LDB-Transition) ; total number of squares crossing in LDB(LDB-Croas) ; total number of rears in LDB(LDB-Rear) ; number of fecal boli in LDB (LDB-FB).Subsequently,factor analysis,cluster analysis and correlation analysis were calculated for these parameters.ResultsFactor analysis and cluster analysis of variances from either OFT or LDB revealed a three behavioral dimensions:anxiety factor ( loaded by OFT-Ctime％,OFT-Ccross％ or LDB-Ltime％,LDB-Lcross％,LDB-Lrear％ ),activity factor ( loaded by OFT-Cross,OFT-Rear or LDB-Transition,LDB-Cross,LDB-Rear) and emotionality factor(loaded by OFT-FB or LDB-FB).While all the variances from both OFT and LDB in combination were analyzed,it could be seen as five components:' LDB-anxiety factor ( loaded by LDBLtime％,LDB-Lcross％ and LDB-Lrear％ ),' OFT-anxiety factor ( loaded by OFT-Ctime％ and OFT-Ccross％ ),'LDB-activity factor (loaded by LDB-Transition,LDB-Cross and LDB-Rear),'OFT-LDB-emotionality factor( loaded by OFT-FB and LDB-FB) and 'OFT-activity factor (loaded by OFT-Cross and OFT-Rear).Good correlation were found between OFT/LDB factors alone and in combination,such as OFT-emotionality factor and LDB-emotionality factor(Pearson =0.383,P＜0.05),LDB-anxiety factor and 'LDB-anxiety factor( Pearson =0.989,P＜0.01 ),OFT-anxiety factor and 'OFT-anxiety factor( Pearson =0.934,P ＜ 0.01 ),LDB-activity factor and 'LDB-activity factor ( Pearson =0.956,P ＜ 0.01 ),OFT/LDB-emotionality factor and ' OFT-LDB-emotionality factor ( Pearson =0.835,P＜0.01 ;Pearson =0.696,P＜0.01 ),OFT-activity factor and 'OFF-activity factor( Pearson =0.926,P＜0.01 ).ConclusionEither OFT or LDB comprised three behavioral dimensions:anxiety factor,activity factor and emotionality factor; however,it was difficult to establish face validity as a point-to-point concordance between OFT and LDB.Attention should be paid to heterogeneity of animal models when OFT and LDB were in combination as a behavionomics to evaluate anxiolytics in Kunming mice.

In this paper, we want to describe the denotation and connotation of the new concept of the modern basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine from three aspects of a concept: a label , a theoretical definition , and an operational definition learning from the international academic understanding of scientific concepts, demonstrate the necessity of theoretical premise to the research and establishment of the modern basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine and the need to build on , illustrate the inevitable trend toward modern science . The whole article contains profound meaning and a certain breakthrough and innovation. We are expected to cause concerns and discusses of experts and scholars through this article .
