Objective To investigate peoples' awareness degree and attitudes about organ donation in current China.Methods A questionnaire regarding organ donation was designed,including 20 little questions distributed in 10 groups,most of which were choice questions.The major question was people's attitudes on organ donation,and the development of organ donation.The survey was held in the outpatient hall,bustling commercial district and four professional colleges.The interviewees were randomly selected,and their gender,age,education background,profession or major filed were asked to be indicated on the paper.Results 2930 valid questionnaires were acquired in all.The proportion of men to women was nearly 1 ∶ 1.2,with mean age of 38.12 years old; more than 90％ of the interviewees knew organ transplantation,and could choose.some of the transplantable organs;more than 95％ knew organ donation,but the time varied; nearly 90％ of the interviewees approved cadaveric organ donation,and 73％ of them would like to donate their organs post mortem.People who know more about organ failure and organ transplantation can give more supports to organ donation.The young students have much enthusiasm to organ donation,but much professional knowledge is also needed to firm their attitudes.The approval percentage of living organ donation was 65.3％,obviously lower than cadaveric organ donation ( P ＜ 0.05 ).85.7％ of the interviewees approved to compensate the donators family appropriately.62.9％ suggested using media and various kinds of education to increase people's knowledge about organ donation,and only 20％ chose appropriate legislation.Conclusion At present,the public are aware of some general knowledge about organ transplantation and organ donation.Most of the public approve organ donation and would like to donate their organs post mortem.The popularization of organ transplantation can give facilitation to organ donation.Most of the interviewees believe appropriate compensation is necessary for the donator's family.Media and education can promote the development of organ donation.

A 42-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital for an 11-month history of pustular lesions of the mouth and lips as well as a 5-month history of pustules,ulcer,proliferative plaques on the head,neck and trunk.She had suffered from 8 years of ulcerative colitis.Dermatological examination revealed mild erosion of eyelids,swelling of buccal mucosa and oral lips,as well as typical snail track lesions formed by pustules,exudates and mucilage.There was a large pitchy proliferative plaque sized 20 cm × 10 cm with an elevated margin in the neck as well as palm-to persian walnut-sized proliferative plaques in the prothorax,armpit,periumbilical area and left inguinal area.Histopathology revealed epitheliomatous hyperplasia of the epidermis with the formation of eosinophilic microabscesses,and superficial dermal infiltrate with numerous neutrophils and eosinophils.Direct immunofluorescence tests for IgA,IgG,and C3 were negative.A diagnosis of pyodermatitis-pyostomatitis vegetans was made.The patient was given intravenous methylprednisolone 40 mg/day and symptomatic treatment,which leaded to a gradual subsidence of skin lesions.

Objective To develop an MR optical dual-modality probe targeting angiogenesis of gastric cancer and to study its physical characteristics , in vitro cytotoxicity and magnetic effects of different pulse sequences on 3 T clinical MR scanner.Methods We conjugated GX1-Cy5.5, a novel gastric cancer neo-vasculature targeted peptide labeled with Cy 5.5, to the surface functionalized magnetic nanoparticles according to different molecular weights (1∶100, 1∶500),resulting in dual-modality probe DPs100 and DPs500 (named DPs).The hydrodynamic size and zeta potential of DPs and DPs 500 were analyzed by nano-ZS.The human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and BGC-823 cells were treated with DPs for 24 h, and methyl thiazol tetrazolium ( MTT) method was used to detect the survival rate of cells.DPs with different concentrations were scanned on different MR sequences , and then the relative signal intensity was observed.The absorbance of HUVECs and BGC823 cells treated with DPs of different concentration (0.00, 1.25, 2.50, 15.00, 50.00, 100.00 and 150.00 μg/ml) were compared with single factor analysis of variance.Relative signal intensity of different MR sequences was compared using a paired Wilcoxon signed-rank test.Results The dual-modality probe targeting angiogenesis of gastric cancer was successfully constructed.The hydrodynamic size of iron oxide nanoparticles , DPs100 and DPs500 was (35.23 ±0.07), (39.49 ±0.16) and (40.43 ±1.70) nm and the Zeta potential was (0.31 ±0.20), ( -4.15 ±0.79) and ( -10.51 ± 2.37) mV.The coupled rates of DPs 100 and DPs500 with polypeptide were 92%and 94% respectively.The absorbance of HUVECs and BGC823 cells treated with DPs of different concentrations were 0.76 ±0.04, 0.80 ±0.03, 0.79 ±0.05, 0.75 ±0.06, 0.74 ±0.05, 0.77 ±0.01,0.71 ±0.04 and 0.38 ±0.04, 0.43 ±0.04, 0.41 ±0.03, 0.43 ±0.07, 0.44 ±0.04, 0.41 ±0.07 and 0.40 ±0.04, there was no statistical significance ( F=0.94, 0.51;P>0.05).The signal intensity increased first and then decreased following the increasing concentrations of DPs on T 1WI,especially on FSPGR T1WI (Z =-3.294,P <0.05), while the signal intensity decreased on T2WI or T2*WI.There was no significant differences in signal intensity on FSE T2 WI and SSFSE T2*WI with iron concentration >10μg/ml( Z=-7.110,P>0.05).With iron concentration≤10 μg/ml,the signal intensity on SSFSE T 2*WI was significantly decreased compared to FSE T2 WI ( Z =-2.023, P <0.05 ) .Conclusions DPs may be potential dual-modal probes for characterization of tumor angiogenesis by MR and optical imaging noninvasively , without causing significant effects on the cell activity in vitro , and SSFSE T2*WI may be the most sensitive sequence for DPs evaluation on MR.

Objective To evaluate the role of the mitochondrial ATP-sensitive potassium (mito-KATP)channel in sevoflurane preconditioning-induced delayed cardioprotection against ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury in isolated rat hearts.Methods Seventy-two adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups (n =12 each):control group (group CON),I/R group,sevoflurane control group (group SEVO),sevoflurane preconditioning group (group SWO P),5-hydroxydeconoate (5-HD) + sevoflurane preconditioning group (group 5-HD+ SWOP) and 5-HD control group (group 5-HD).The rats were exposed to 33％ pure oxygen for 1 h in groups CON and I/R.The rats were exposed to 2.5％ sevoflurane for 1 h in groups SEVO and SWOP.5-HD (a mito-KATP channel inhibitor) 10 mg/kg was injected intraperitoneally 30 min before sevoflurane preconditioning in group 5-HD + SWOP.5-HD 10 mg/kg was injected intraperitoneally in group 5-HD.The hearts were immediately removed and perfused in a Langendorff apparatus.The hearts were made globally ischemic for 30 min followed by 120 min reperfusion in groups I/R,SWOP,5-HD + SWOP and 5-HD.The expression of phosphorylated protein kinase C-epsilon (p-PKC-ε) and caspase-8 was measured by Western blot immediately before ischemia (T0) and at 120 min of reperfusion (T1).The myocardial infarct volume was measured by TTC staining.Results Compared with group CON,the myocardial infarct volume was significantly increased at T1 in groups I/R,SWOP,5-HD +SWOP and 5-HD,p-PKC-ε expression was up-regulated at T0 in groups SEVO and SWOP and at T1 in groups I/R,SWOP,5-HD + SWOP and 5-HD,and caspase-8 expression was down-regulated at T1 in group SEVO (P ＜0.05).Compared with group I/R,the myocardial infarct volume was significantly decreased at T1 in groups SWOP and 5-HD + SWOP,p-PKC-ε expression was up-regulated at T0 in groups SEVO and SWOP,and caspase-8 expression was down-regulated at T1 in group SWOP (P ＜ 0.05).Compared with group SWOP,the myocardial infarct volume was significantly increased,p-PKC-ε expression was down-regulated at T0,and caspase-8 expression was up-regulated at T1 in group 5-HD + SWOP (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The mito-KATP channel is involved in sevoflurane preconditioning-induced delayed cardioprotection against I/R injury in isolated rat hearts through upregulation of p-PKC-ε expression before ischemia and inhibition of cell apoptosis during reperfusion.

Aim To explore the lipid-lowering mecha-nisms of curcumin from the molecular levels and pro-vide scientific basis for clinical development of lipid-lowering drugs.Methods Using oil red O staining and enzymic to determinate the levels of cholesterol in HepG2 cells.Moreover,uptaking of DiI-LDL was also measured.The expressions of mRNA and protein were detected by RT-Q-PCR and Western blot.Results The red lipid droplets and the levels of TC and FC sig-nificantly increased in HepG2 cells after treated with curcumin.The orange red fluorescence was higher than that of control.Curcumin could promote the expression levels of mRNA and protein of SREBP2 and LDLR, what′s more,curcumin could reduce the expression of the mature PCSK9 level and IDOL protein.Conclu-sion Curcumin accelerates LDL-C uptake probably via downregulating the expression of PCSK9 and IDOL in HepG2 cells.

OBJECTIVETo observe different effects of moxibustion on extracellular potassium ion in acupoint under physiological and pathological status and provide experimental evidence for exploring action mechanism of moxibustion on acupoint local.

METHODSForty female SD rats were randomly divided into a blank group, a blank-moxibustion group, a model group and a model-moxibustion group, 10 cases in each one. The complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA) was adopted to establish model of adjuvant arthritis (AA) in the model group and model-moxibustion group. No treatment was given in the blank group and model group while moxibustion was applied at "Zusan-li" (ST 36) for 30 min in the blank-moxibustion group and model-moxibustion group. The tissue fluid in "Zusanli" (ST 36) was collected with microdialysis and real-time analyzed by electrolytic analyzer. The change of concentration of potassium ion in "Zusanli" (ST 36) was observed.

RESULTS(1) Under physiological status, the concentration of extracellular potassium ion in the blank group was not changed within 150 min (P > 0.05); before the moxibustion, the concentration of extracellular potassium ion in the blank-moxibustion group was (1.21 +/- 0.31) mmol/L, and after treatment it was gradually increased and reached its peak at (2.38 +/- 0.42) mmol/L after 60 min (P < 0.05), then it was reduced. 150 min after the treatment, concentration of potassium ion was slightly higher than that before moxibustion as well as that in the blank group. The concentration in the blank-moxibustion group at 60 min was statistically significant compared with that in the blank group (P < 0.05). (2) Under pathological status, the concentration of extracellular potassium ion in the model group was not changed within 150 min, differences of which at each time point was not statistically significant (all P > 0.05). Before the moxibustion, the concentration of extracellular potassium ion was (1.09 +/- 0.12) mmol/L in the model-moxibustion group, and it was immediately increased to (1.96 +/- 0.18) mmol/L after moxibustion. 60 min and 90 min after the moxibustion, it still maintained a higher level, which was (1.87 +/- 0.29) mmol/L and (1.59 +/- 0.16) mmol/L respectively (both P < 0.05). The differences of each time point after moxibustion in the model-moxibustion group were statistically significant compared with those in the model group (all P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe moxibustion could increase the concentration of potassium ion in rat's acupoint local under physiological status but time of effect is short; with moxibustion at "Zusanli" (ST 36) under pathological status, the concentration of local potassium ion is obviously increased and maintains for a long time.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the injuries after the earthquake with otorhinolaryngology symptoms and the characteristics of with injuries and to provide some information when dealing with similar disasters in the future.

METHODSThe basic information of earthquake-related injuries with otorhinolaryngology symptoms was collected in 11 large and medium-sized hospitals (including foreign medical teams) in Mianyang City and the surrounding four hard-hit counties. Their characteristics were analyzed together.

RESULTSThere were 289 patients that have otorhinolaryngology symptoms in the 11 included hospitals, among them there were 217 cases have definite records that could be analyzed. The data showed that damage to ear and head and neck injuries as the main symptoms was large proportion of injuries suffer multiple fractures and soft tissue injuries such as skin abrasions . Nose injury and facial fractures were also common. Orbital fracture and eye damage could be combined occurred. Brain injury and skull fractures often occurred while trachea and throat injury was rare happened.

CONCLUSIONSDifferent disaster cause different damage. After the establishment of disaster-related injuries in professional spectrum more active and effective could be behaved in life rescue and the arrangement of personnel and material when dealing with similar situations.

objective To understand the baseline data of mortality from malignant tumor from 2006 to 2009 around Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant in Wafangdian City,Liaoning Province,so as to provide scientific basis for evaluating the impact of normal operation of nuclear power plant on the health of the residents nearby.Methods Thirty small towns near Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant were divided into 5 investigated areas according to the distances away therefrom(0.,10.,20-,30-,and 40-km).The data about from malignant tumor were obtained from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Wafangdian.The mortality distribution of difierent malignant tumors was analyzed,including the radiosensitive malignant tumors,especially leukemia,breast cancer,and thyroid gland cancer in different area,gender,and age groups.Results The mortality from malignant tumor was 151.97/105,and the standardized mortality rate(SMR)was 97.76/105.The mortality from malignant tumor among the males was 188.28/105(with the SMR of 116.76/105),and that among the females was 113.47/105(with the SMR of 75.89/105).with a sex ratio of 1.71.The first five cancers in the rank of death causes were lung,liver,stomach,colorectal,and esophageal cancers with mortality of 46.19/105,23.51/105,20.30/105,8.06/105 and 5.45/105,respectively.The mortality from mal.ignant tumor in the areas around the nuclear power plant from the near to the distant were 99.85/105, 137.40/105,138.73/105,156.30/105,and 154.16/105,respectively.The mortality from radiosensitive malignant tumors,leukemia,breast cancer,and thyroid gland cancer were 4.57/105,4.06/105,and 0.26/105,respectively.Conclusions Lung cancer and digestive tract malignant tumors are the main causes of death from malignant tumors in Wafangdian area before the nuclear power plant began to operate.There are no significant differences in the mortality distribution of malignant tumors among different areas,genders,and age groups.There are not significant differences in the mortality distribution of leukemia and breast cancer among different areas and age groups.
