1.Circulating endothelial cells in clinical oncology
Journal of International Oncology 2012;(11):808-811
Circulating endothelial cells(CEC)are mature endothelial cells, which have been shed from the vascular cell lining and enter into blood circulation.Rare in healthy individuals, increased CEC in peripheral blood reflects significant vascular damage and dysfunction.Increased CEC have been documented in many human diseases characterized as vascular damage, including different types of tumors.Clinical data suggest that CEC count is a promising tool for monitoring disease activity with potential to assess tumor prognosis and response to treatment.

Objective To evaluate patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) with morphine on breastfeeding neonatal neurological arid adaptive capacity after cesarean section. Methods Thirty healthy parturients after cesarean section under epidural block were randomly selected as test group, and thirty healthy parturients with natural childbirth served as control group without any opioids administration. In test group the patients received PCEA after cesarean section. The regimen included a loading dose of morphine 2mg, bupivacaine 12.5mg and droperidol 0.5mg in 10ml of normal saline, followed by background infusion at 2 ml?h~(-1) with an 2ml bolus dose and a 20min lockout interval. The PCEA solution contained morphine 20mg, bupivacaine 125mg and dreporidol 5 mg in 100ml of normal saline. The samples of intravenous blood and colostrums were taken 2, 4, 8,12 and 24 h after the loading dose administration for measurement of plasma and colostrums concentrations of morphine. The neonatal neurological and adaptive capacity scores(NACS) of both groups were recorded at corresponding time points, Results Concentrations of morphine in colostrum and plasma kept decreasing following the loading dose administration. There was a significant positive correlation between concentrations of morphine in colostrum and plasma (r=0.998, P

OBJECTIVETo compare the differences in the efficacy on lower limb motor function in children with spastic cerebral palsy between the combined therapeutic program of Jin three-needle therapy and MOTOmed intelligent motor training and the simple MOTOmed.
METHODSEighty children with spastic cerebral palsy were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 40 cases in each group. In the observation group, Jin three-needle therapy was used at four mind points, three brain points, three intelligent points, three temporal points, three knee points and three foot points, as well as Chengjin (BL 56), Chengshen (BL 57) and the other. Additionally, MOTOmed was given in assistance with conventional rehabilitation training. In the control group, MOTOmed and the conventional rehabilitation training were adopted. In the two groups, the treatment was given once a day, 20 treatments made one session and there were 3 to 5 days at interval between the two sessions. The efficacy evaluation was performed after continuous 3 sessions of treatment. The gross motor function measure (GMFM) and modified Ashworth scale (MAS) were applied for the evaluation before and after treatment in the two groups.
RESULTSAfter 3 sessions of treatment, GMFM score was increased apparently as compared with that before treatment in the two groups (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). After treatment, GMFM score in the observation group was increased more remarkably than that in the control group (55.32 +/- 17.10 vs 47.48 +/- 17.18, P < 0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate of gastrocnemius Ashworth spasm grade [90.0% (36/40)] in the observation group was better apparently than [72.5% (29/40)] in the control group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe combined therapeutic program of Jin three-needle therapy and MOTOmet intelligent motor training improves the lower limb motor function of the children with spastic cerebral palsy and its efficacy is better than simple MOTOmed.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1986;0(01):-
Objective To explore the significance of nuclear factor-?B(NF-?B)activation in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)during acute Kawasaki disease(KD).Methods Peripheral blood was collected from children with acute KD(n=30)and healthy age-matched children(n=20).PBMC were cultured in vitro and divided into 3 groups:naturally cultured blank control group, protein kinase C(PKC)activator stimulated phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate(PMA)group and PMA plus NF-?B inhibitor treated PMA plus pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate(PDTC)group.Percentages of NF-?B activation were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Under natural culturing, the percentage of cells with activated NF-?B was significantly higher in acute KD blank control group than that in healthy blank control group. The percentage of cells with activated NF-?B was significantly higher in acute KD PMA group than that in acute KD blank group and that in normal control PMA group,respectively(Pa0.05).Conclusions NF-?B activation in PBMC during acute KD is markedly increased, which suggests that NF-?B activation plays an important role in the formation of vasulitis and CAL in this disease.NF-?B activation in PBMCs in children with KD is regulated by the PKC signaling pathway and PDTC obviously inhibits the activation of NF-?B.J Appl Clin Pediatr,2009,24(1):35-37

Chinese Circulation Journal 2016;31(1):55-59
Objective:To explore the relationship between pulmonary function and coronary artery disease (CAD) with the severity of coronary artery lesions in relevant patients.
Methods:A total of 200 patients received coronary angiography (CAG) in our hospital were studied. The patients were divided into 2 groups: Non-CAD group, n=88 and CAD group, n=112. The degree of coronary stenosis was assessed by GENSINI score;the pulmonary function, echocardiography and fasting blood level of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) were examined in all patients.
Results:Forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) in CAD group (2.33±0.54) L/1s was lower than Non-CAD group (2.63±0.39) L/1s, P=0.04. Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that decreased FEV1 was the independent risk factor for CAD (OR=2.9, 95%CI 1.89-4.23, P<0.01). Spearman correlation analysis showed that FEV1 was negatively related to blood level of BNP (r=-0.54, P<0.01), positively related to the ratio of E/A (r=0.27, P=0.03). GENSINI score was positively related to smoking (r=0.31, P=0.01), diabetes (r=0.19, P=0.03) and negatively related to FEV1 (r=-0.40, P<0.01). With adjusted variables, partial correlation analysis presented that FEV1 was negatively related to GENSINI score (r=-0.21, P=0.01).
Conclusion:Decreased FEV1 is not only related to CAD occurrence, but also related to the degree of coronary stenosis in relevant patients.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(1):141-148
To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of compound Danshen injection in treating hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) of newborns. Computer retrievals were made in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, CBM, CNKI, VIP and China info (before May 2014) and relevant literature references, and manual retrievals were made for journals and conference papers, in order to collect randomized or semi-randomized controlled trials concerning compound Danshen injection in the treatment of neonatal HIE. The quality of included references was evaluated according to literatures recommended by Cochrane Handbook. RevMan 5. 3 software was applied in the statistical treatment. Finally, a total of 13 randomized controlled trials were included, covering 1,211 patients (including 639 patients in the compound Danshen injection-treated group and 572 patients in the control group). Meta-analysis results showed that the routine treatment combined with compound Danshen injection can improve the treatment efficiency of neonatal HIE [RR = 1.28; 95% CI (1.21-1.36)], reduce the mortality rate [RR = 0.42; 95% CI (0.23-0.75)] and the incidence of long-term neurological sequelae [RR = 0.48; 95% CI (0.35-0.65)], with statistical differences. No fatal side effect was observed in all of included trials. So far, limited evidences in this study proved that the application of compound Danshen injection in the treatment of neonatal HIE can enhance the clinical efficiency. However, because of the low quality of the included trials, more well-designed and large-scale multi-center randomized controlled trials shall be made in the future.
