Objective To study the characteristics of MRI Lesions in posterior circulation cerebral infarction and the correlation of the syndrome types of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods 82 patients with posterior circulation cerebral infarction from May 2012 to May 2015 were recruited, two observers estimated cranial MRI infarct size, location, and TCM syndrome type in the hospital medical records of the patients separately. Results Of all patients with posterior circulation cerebral infarction, patients with meridians involved infarction in the distant part of posterior circulation is far more than other parts of the posterior circulation(21 patient,P=0.006), nevertheless, patients with apoplexy involving Zang-fu organs, cerebral infarction volume is larger (14.78 ± 5.68 mlvs. 9.12 ± 6.67 ml,P=0.001).Conclusion Of all patients with posterior cerebral infarction, patients with meridians be involved, infarction in the distant part of posterior circulation is far more than other parts of the posterior circulation, nevertheless, in patients with apoplexy involving Zang-fu Organs, cerebral infarction volume is larger.

Objective To understand and improve the dietary habits and nutritional knowledge of clinical nursing staff in general hospitals, which in turn provides a theoretical basis for the implementing the health education of dietary and nutrition for patients and their families. Methods A total of 200 clinical charge nurses were investigated using the questionnaireabout public nutritional knowledge. Results 1 88 of total 200 pieces of questionnaires were returned withthe valid rate 94%.There was significantly different in mastering nutritional knowledge among nurses with varying educational degree (P <0.01 ).Investigation results of dietary behavior demonstrated that 78.7% of investigate nurses had regular breakfast and 76.6% had regular three meals every day.84.0% nurses concerned about balanced intake of nutrient and 77.1 % possessed a proportionalratio of refined grain to roughage in daily diet.Population of nurses who chose water instead of carbonated beverage accounted for 77.1 %,while only 57.4% nurses did not have the habit of picky eating. Only 66.0% nurses had not been on diet as a way for losing weight. In terms of approach of nutritional knowledge achievement,1 4.9% clinical nurses adopted formal classroom teaching, and 65.4% used television and internet. In addition,1 9.7% surveyed nurses learned through books or others′narration, with 3 of them choosing “office coaching”and “television and internet”.Conclusions The understanding of nutritional knowledge in clinical nurses is poor and needs to be strengthened by further education by formal education and training accompanying with distribution of related materials to improve the nutritionalknowledge of nurses, elevate their nursing quality and dietary habit for patients.

Objective To investigate the inpatients′satisfaction with the hospital environment, medical process, medical skills and service attitudes,in order to provide evidence for improving the hospital cultural construction and patients′satisfaction level. Methods According to the stratified sampling by the department, the study investigated 521 inpatients from a second-class hospital using questionnaire survey. Results Approximately 62.2% of the participants were satisfied with the “hardware”of the hospital culture and 66.8% were satisfied with the “software ” of the hospital culture. However, there were no statistical differences between these satisfactions (χ2 =0.046,P >0.05).Conclusions A considerable proportions of the participants are not satisfied with the current hospital culture. Thus, the hospitals should enhance their cultural construction and education,as well as improve the medical procedures and technical skills,in order to promote patients′rehabilitation and satisfaction level.
4.Cholesterol crystals and acute ischemic stroke: A case report
Journal of Apoplexy and Nervous Diseases 2024;41(12):1134-1136
Atherosclerosis is the main etiology of tandem occlusion in patients with acute ischemic stroke, with the possible mechanisms of in situ thrombosis due to atherosclerosis or distal arterial embolization due to the dislodgment of partial thrombi or plaques. The atherosclerotic elements identified within the thrombus or emboli can help with the diagnosis of the etiology of occlusion and the evaluation of plaques. This article reports a case of acute ischemic stroke due to tandem occlusion of the right anterior circulation, and the dislodgment of thrombi occurred during internal carotid artery angioplasty. The pathological analysis of the thrombi revealed a large amount of cholesterol crystals, which helped with the etiological classification of stroke and the evaluation of plaques.

OBJECTIVE:
In the context of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the subject was designed to develop a new tracheal intubation device based on magnetic navigation technology to improve the success rate of tracheal intubation and reduce the risk of occupational exposure of medical staff.
METHODS:
The new tracheal intubation device was designed with the uniqueness of the magnetic field environment and magnetic steering of magnetic navigation technology. And preliminary magnetic navigation tracheal intubation experiments were performed on the tracheal intubation simulator.
RESULTS:
Magnetic navigation tracheal intubation can successfully implement tracheal intubation, and the time required is lower than that of traditional laryngoscopy.
CONCLUSIONS
The tracheal intubation based on magnetic navigation technology is feasible, with high efficiency and easy operation. That is expected to be widely used for tracheal intubation during treatment of patients outside the hospital in the future. At the same time, magnetic navigation endotracheal intubation technology will be the key technology for the development of endotracheal intubation robots.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is one of types of inflammatory bowel disease with high recurrence. Recent studies have highlighted that microbial dysbiosis as well as abnormal gut immunity are crucial factors that initiate a series of inflammatory responses in the UC. Modulating the gut microbiota-intestinal immunity loop has been suggested as one of key strategies for relieving UC. Many Chinese herbal medicines including some of single herb, herbal formulas and the derived constituents have been reported with protective effect against UC through modulating gut microbiome and intestinal immunity. Some clinical trials have shown promising results. This review thus focused on the current knowledge on using Chinese herbal medicines for treating UC from the mechanism aspects of regulating intestinal homeostasis involving microbiota and gut immunity. The existing clinical trials are also summarized.
