Objective To observe the effect of eyebrow plasty combined with hair grafting technique. Methods From January 2011 to April 2015,19 patients with eyebrow defect by eyebrow tattooing, operation or trauma received eyebrow plasty. The removed eyebrow tissue was separated into hair follicle units, and the eyebrow shape was redesigned. The hair grafting method was used for repairing eyebrow defect.Scalp was used as a supplement to get enough hair follicle units. Results All but one patients with eyebrow defect obtained good results, and the grafted hairs were growing well with satisfied direction and shape. One patient sustained folliculitis and was cured after inunctions with 75 % alcohol. Conclusions Eyebrow plasty combined with hair grafting technique is a safe and effective method for repairing eyebrow defect, with reducing the number of operations and shortening the treatment time.

Objective To explore the effect of single follicular unit transplantation on eyebrow defects caused by burn , trauma, resection, inappropriate eyebrow trimming , congenital sparse or ill eyebrows .Methods A total of 252 patients with 387 eyebrow defects were recruited .The eyebrow contour was designed based on the contra-side eyebrow .The template was needed for bilateral eyebrow defects .The scalp strips from the back occipital or retroauricular region were taken and the grafts were harvested by scalp strip cutting or FUE .Grafts were cut into single follicular unit hair with a stainless steel blade .The recipient area was punched with 21 G or 22 G syringe needle .Then the hair shaft was clamped with microscope slide forceps and the follicles were transplanted to the defect area .Results 17 patients underwent secondary hair transplantation due to sparse hair 6 months after the first operation .12 patients had an obvious difference between the reconstructed eyebrow and the healthy one which can be improved by make-up.3 burn cases developed local infection and then healed after dressing .Transplanted hairs survived well in all the other patients with satisfactory hair direction and appearance .Conclusions It is feasible to use the hair at back occipital region and retroauricular region as donor sites .Hair transplantation could be an optimal choice for the eyebrow defect due to scar , skin graft or skin flap .The syringe needle is convenient as a punch device .Clamping the hair shaft with microscope slide forceps may help to achieve a simulation effect on the eyebrow appearance .

Closed-loop hospital management can effectivly cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure the continuity of treatments for hemodialysis patients under closed-loop management and minimize possible medical and infection risks, Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University and 9 hospitals in Shanghai established a hemodialysis alliance in January 2021.The alliance optimized hemodialysis resources within the region through overall planning by preparing sites, materials and personnel shifts in advance, and establishing management systems and work processes to ensure that patients could be quickly and orderly diverted to other blood dialysis centers for uninterrupted high-quality hemodialysis services, in case that some hemodialysis centers in the alliance under closed-loop management. From November 2021 to April 2022, 317 of 1 459 hemodialysis patients in the alliance were diverted to other centers for treatment, accumulating 1 215 times/cases of treatments without obvious adverse reactions. The practice could provide a reference for medical institutions to quickly establish mutual support mode under major public health events.
