Objective To study the FDG SUVmax cutoff values in detection of metastases in mediastinal lymph nodes (MLN) and hilar/intralobar lymph nodes (HILN) in pre-operative patients with N0-2 stage NSCLC.Methods A total of 69 patients with stage N0-2 NSCLC (40 males,29 females,age 36-87 years) were included in this retrospective study.18F-FDG PET/CT was performed and followed by lung cancer resection with lymph node dissection in 1 month.The excised lymph nodes were compared one by one between their SUVmax and histopathology.The SUVmax cutoff value in detection of lymph node metastases was determined by the ROC curve.Mann-Whitney u test,x2 test,and Fisher exact test were used for data analysis.Results Metastatic MLN and (or) HILN were found in 21 of 69 NSCLC patients.The histopathologic results demonstrated metastases in 61 of 339 lymph nodes.The SUVmax of metastatic lymph nodes (4.95(3.46,7.19)) was significantly higher than that of benign lymph nodes (2.10(1.59,3.22);z=-7.576,P＜0.05).The SUVmax of metastatic HILN (6.32 (4.28,8.27)) was significantly higher than that of metastatic MLN (3.90(2.12,6.41);z=-2.921,P＜0.05).With cutoff of SUVmax ≥2.5,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy in detection of all metastatic lymph nodes were 83.6％ (51/61),61.9％ (172/278)and 65.8％ (223/339) respectively,and the parameters were 74.2％ (23/31),79.6％ (160/201) and 78.9％ (183/232) for metastatic MLN,and 93.3％ (28/30),15.6％ (12/77) and 37.4％ (40/107) for metastatic HILN.The diagnostic sensitivities for metastatic MLN and for metastatic HILN were not significantly different (Fisher exact test,P＞0.05),while the specificities and accuracies between the two groups were significantly different (x2 values:96.7 and 56.1,both P＜0.05).According to ROC curves,cutoff values of SUVmax in detecting metastatic MLN and metastatic HILN were 2.78 and 4.93.With the specific cutoff value,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy in detection of metastatic MLN were 71.0％ (22/31),87.1％ (175/201)and 84.9％(197/232),respectively.The corresponding data in detection of metastatic HILN were 73.3％ (22/30),77.9％(60/77) and 76.6％(82/107).Conclusion Different cutoff values of SUVmax in detecting metastatic MLN and metastatic HILN should be considered for more accurate lymph nodes staging in patients with NSCLC.

ObjectiveTo assess the protective effect of ischemic postconditioning in different ways after rabbit's testis completely torsion and detorsion and to assess the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS) in it.MethodsForty male white rabbits were divided into 5 groups randomly:a control group,directly perfusion group (R),ischemic postconditioning groups (IP1,IP2 and IP3),with 8 in each.The acute testicular hemodynamic disorder models were established in R,IP1,IP2,IP3 groups by completely blocking the left testicular blood flow for 4 hours,then group R was directly subjected to perfusion,group IP1 was subjected to 15 s release and 15 s occlusion (15 s/15 s),IP2 was subjected to 30 s/ 30 s,IP3 was subjected to 45 s/45 s,each group was taken 3 cycles.All the groups underwent CEUS before operation and after 3 days,examined for the contents of malonaldehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and histology,and observed for the pathobgieal changes of the testicular tissue.ResultsThe CEUS parameters of bilateral testes showed no significantly difference in all group before operation( P ＞0.05),3 days after reperfusion.The half of declining time of intensity was extended significantly in all operation groups comparing with control group (P ＜ 0.05),but the difference of peak and base intensity were increased in group IP1 and IP2,comparing with control group( P ＜0.05).The contents of MDA and SOD were remarkable differences in group IP1,IP2 comparing with group R and IP3 ( P ＜ 0.05).Johnsen' s score,apoptosis index showed significantly differences in group IP1,IP2 comparing with group R and IP3 (P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionsMicrocirculation of the complete torsion testicular was significantly improved by ischemic postconditioning after reperfusion,and the effects of ischemic postconditioning could be evaluated by CEUS.

Objective To study the predictive value for adverse cardiac events (ACE) of left ventricular diastolic function measured by G-MPI. Methods Patients assessed by 2 days rest-stressed G-MPI during March 2012 to May 2013 in Beijing Hospital were collected and observed for the cumulative survival rate without ACE after G-MPI. ACE included cardiac death, non-fatal MI and late revascularization (60 d after the examination). Using quantitative gated SPECT (QGS) to get the LVEF and left ventricular peak filling rate (PFR). Using 17 segments, 5-point scoring system to get the summed stress score (SSS). Cox regression analysis was used to identify the independent predictors for ACE, and Kaplan-Meier method was used to investigate the cumulative survival rate without ACE.χ2 test was also used. Results A total of 11 patients who underwent early revascularization (within 60 d after G-MPI) were excluded and 139 patients (76 males, 63 females; average age 68.73 years) were assigned to different groups for outcome analysis, and 9 (6.5%, 9/139) patients had ACE in the whole group. Cox regression analysis showed that SSS, LVEF, PFR were the independent predictors for ACE (all P<0.05). Patients with PFR<2.1 EDV/s had a higher incidence of ACE than those with PFR≥2.1 EDV/s (14.3%(7/49) vs 2.2%(2/90), χ2=7.63, P<0.05). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the cumulative survival rate without ACE was lower in patients with PFR<2.1 EDV/s than that in patients with PFR≥2.1 EDV/s (67.7% vs 95.0%), and lower in patients with LVEF<50% than that in patients with LVEF≥50%(32.0% vs 90.8%), and also lower in patients with SSS≥8 than those with SSS<8(62.0% vs 94.7%; χ2 values: 11.92,11.27, 10.40, all P<0.01).Combining PFR with SSS and LVEF respectively, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the cumulative survival rate without ACE in patients with LVEF≥50% was higher than that in patients with LVEF<50% when PFR<2.1 EDV/s (76.7% vs 30.8%), and also higher in patients with SSS<8 than that in patients with SSS≥8 when PFR≥2.1 EDV/s (100% vs 72.2%; χ2 values: 7.14, 13.09, both P<0.01). Conclusion PFR of left ventricular diastolic function measured by G-MPI is one of the independent predictors for ACE, and it could effectively improve the predictive value for ACE if combined with LVEF and SSS.

Objective To observe the effect of Jingujian Granule (Granule for strengthening the bones) No.1,2,and 3 on primary osteoporosis in the TCM syndromes of liver-kidney deficiency,both spleen and kidney deficiency,and spleen and kidney deficiency accompanied with blood stasis,and the influence on the bone metabolism indices.Methods Totally 210 primary osteoporosis cases were differentiated according to the TCM differentiation and administered Jingujian Granule No.1,2,3 or Caltrate D accordingly.The observation was carried out for 3 months on the improvement of clinical symptoms,changes in bone mineral density and bone metabolism indices,and safety indices.Results The total effective rate of Jingujian Granule No.1,2,and 3 was 89.92%,while that of Caltrate D was 33.3% (P

BACKGROUND:Previous tudies have shown that the anti-aging effects of stem cel s with lycopene are more significant, and can also significantly improve the aging body immune function.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the anti-aging effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cel s combined with lycopene on the aging beagles.
METHODS:Sixteen aging beagles (6-7 years old) were randomly divided into two groups:aging control group and aging treatment group;young beagles (3-4 years old) were chosen as young control group. In the aging treatment group, human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cel s combined with lycopene was given;while in the other two group, an equal amount of DMEM/F12 cel culture medium and sunflower oil was given. Each dog's general conditions were observed regularly during the whole progress. The changes of superoxide dismutase,
malondialdehyde, glutathione peroxidase in the serum were detected at regular time of the whole process, and the structure changes of each organ were observed at 24 weeks of treatment.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) Before treatment, the levels of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase in the aging control and treatment groups were lower than those in the young control group (P<0.05), while the malondialdehyde content was higher than that in the young control group (P<0.05). However, there was no significant statistical difference between aging control and treatment groups (P>0.05). (2) For the aging treatment group at 24 weeks of treatment:the beagle fur became clearer and smoother, motility was strengthened, appetite became better;and the activity of superoxide dismutase in serum at 8 to 24 weeks of treatment increased significantly compared with before treatment (P<0.05), the activity of glutathione peroxidase significantly increased from 6 weeks (compared with treatment before, P<0.05), the malondialdehyde content decreased significantly from 4 weeks of treatment to the completion of the experiment (compared with before treatment, P<0.05). (3) After the experiment, the microscopic observation showed that compared with the aging control group, the tissues and organ structures of the aging treatment group were al clear, had no inflammatory infiltrates, no obvious necrosis and fibrosis lesions. These results were mainly consistent with the observations of young control group. The above results show that umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cel s combined with lycopene therapy on the natural aging beagles may enhance the activities of antioxidant enzymes, reduce malondialdehyde content, and their combination also can repair tissue structures and promote the functions, which has obvious anti-aging effects.

AIM:To investigate the effect of resveratrol on the lipids ( CHOL, TG, LDL-C and HDL-C) , ni-tric oxide ( NO) , peroxynitrite anion ( ONOO-) and the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase ( iNOS) in the artery of the mice with ovariotomy ( OVX) .METHODS:The lipid levels and NO level in the serum were measured .The chan-ges of atherosclerosis were evaluated with Oil Red O staining .The expression of iNOS was measured by DAB staining and Western blot .The ONOO-production was measured by DAB staining .RESULTS:Compared with sham group , the levels of the lipids and NO production in OVX +high fat (HF) group were increased (P<0.05).Compared with OVX+HF group, the levels of the lipids and NO production in resveratrol group were decreased (P<0.05).Fourteen weeks later, the atherosclerosis model was successfully established .Compared with OVX +HF group, the iNOS expression and the ONOO-production in resveratrol group were decreased ( P<0.05 ) , while those in sham group were increased ( P <0.05).CONCLUSION:Resveratrol prevents and treats atherosclerosis by inhibiting the iNOS expression in C 57BL/6J mice.

Objective To clarify the role of syk kinase in inflammasome activation in mouse peritoneal macrophages during Listeria monocytogenes (LM) infection. Methods Murine peritoneal macrophages were randomly divided into BAY treatment group, SB treatment group, WO treatment group, no treatment group and negative control group (NI). There were three wells in each group. The syk inhibitor BAY 117082, P38MAPK inhibitor SB203580 and PI3K inhibitor wotamine were used to treat murine peritoneal macrophages for 1h in BAY treatment group, SB treatment group and WO treatment group. Murine peritoneal macrophages were infected with LM for 24 h except NI group. The protein level of interleukin (IL)-18 in the supernatant was detected by ELISA kit. The activation condition of key molecule ASC in the infected-macrophages cyto-plasm was observed under fluorescence microscope. The phosphorylation levels of syk protein kinase at different time points during LM infection were determined by Western blot assay. Results There was no significant difference in IL-18 protein level before and after BAY treatment in NI group (P>0.05). The IL-18 protein level was significantly lower after LM infec-tion in BAY treatment group compared with that in no treatment group (P<0.05). In contrast, there was no significant differ-ence in IL-18 production between SB treatment group, WO treatment and no treatment group (P>0.05). Meanwhile, the per-centage of ASC-speck positive cells was obviously diminished in BAY treatment group compared with that in no treatment group (P<0.01). The phosphorylation levels of syk were significantly increased in 5 min, 15 min and 30 min post-infection. Conclusion Syk kinase signaling is involved in the inflammasomes activation upon Listeria monocytogenes infection in mu-rine macrophages.

Objective: To evaluate the dietary quality of residents in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide the basis for future health education and nutrition intervention programs. Methods: A stratified multi-stage random sampling method was used to select residents aged 18 years and older in 6 counties (cities, districts) of Wenzhou City as the study subjects, “24-hour dietary review for 3 consecutive days” was adopted to collect dietary intake, and the diet balance index (DBI_16) scoring method was applied to evaluate the dietary quality. Results: This study analyzed the dietary quality of 406 residents in Wenzhou City, including 197 males (48.52%) and 209 females (51.48%). The majority of the residents were aged 18-44 years (254 residents, 62.56%). The median DBI total score was -31 (interquartile range, 8), and 404 residents had insufficient dietary intake, accounting for 99.51%. The median DBI positive score was 5 (interquartile range, 6), and 288 residents had appropriate dietary intake, accounting for 70.94%. The median DBI negative score was 37 (interquartile range, 6), and 210 residents had a high level of insufficient dietary intake, accounting for 51.72%. Five dietary patterns, namely A, B, C, E and F, were identified, with pattern B being the most dominant, accounting for 75.62% of the total (307 individuals). Patterns D, H, I and G were not observed. Conclusions The dietary quality of the residents surveyed indicates the existence of dietary imbalances, mainly manifesting as inadequate intake. It is recommended to strengthen nutritional and health guidance.

This study summarizes the status of domestic industries of medical devices for assisted reproductive technology, product category, the status of product classification management, the status of technical review, the progress of quality evaluation technology, and the progress of standardization. The domestic industry of medical devices for assisted reproductive technology in my country has begun to take shape, and a solid foundation has been laid for standardization and supervision technology. These will become an important driving force and guarantee for the subsequent development of medical devices for assisted reproductive technology. Under the guidance of the new development concept and the trend of accelerating the construction of the main body of the domestic cycle, my country's independent and controllable assisted reproductive medical device industry is gaining momentum.
