1.Professor YAN De-xin's experience in diffrerentiating and treating emeda with heart involved from qi and blood
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(03):-
To introduce professor YAN De-xin's experience in diffrerentiating and treating Emeda with Heart Involved from qi and flood He thinks that pathogenesis of Emeda with Heart Involved is water overflowing due to yang deficiency, internal retention of blood stasis and turbidity. So this disease can be differentiated from these aspects including the disturbance of the functional activities of the lung, failure to transform body fluid;body fluid transformed by blood stasis, simultaneous disorders of both blood and body fluid;deficiency of pectoral qi,derangement of qi and blood. What's more,he proposes the application of drugs for warming yang and promoting blood circulation is very important.

simple Qi-deficiency syndrome. The symptoms with incidence of over 50% in the Yang-deficiency and accompanied syndromes group were in the following order:precordial pain, oppressed feeling in chest, palpitation, short breath, aversion to cold, cold limbs, weakness, lassitude in loin and knee, polyuria at night. Conclusion:Acute coronary syndrome has complicated pathogenesis, deficiency with excess, and Yang-deficiency,cold accumulation and blood stasis are the main pathogenesis of the disease.

In TCM prevention and treatment of acute coronary syndrome(ACS),attention should be paid attention to the following:(1)modern pharmacology of TCM and pathology of unstable plaque;(2)microcosmic and objective indexes of TCM treatment based on syndrome differentiation for interfering unstable plaque of ACS;(3)treatment of ACS based on the theory of collateral diseases;(4)treatment of ACS based on the theory of toxicity;(5)treatment of ACS based on the theory of blood stasis;(6)clinical by-stage of pathological state of coronary atherosclerosis plaque and treatment based on syndrome differentiation.

The physical functions of the heart and brain is based on the sufficiency, fluency and balance of qi and blood. Therefore, the basic pathogenesis of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases should be imbalance of qi and blood. Any causative agent is bound to influence the harmony of qi and blood once it attacks the heart and brain, its evolving laws are qi stagnancy and blood stasis at early stage, subsequent cementation of phlegm and blood stasis, and more qi deficiency and more blood stasis in the end. Regulating qi and activating blood circulation may harmonize qi and blood, balance yin and yang, which should be served as the basic therapeutic method for treating cardio-cerebrovascular diseases.
