AIM:To established a method for determining geniposide and baicalin in four preparations cantaining Fructus gardeniae and Radix Scutellariae by HPLC.METHODS:The separation was performed on Lichrospher C_ 18 column;using water-phosphoric acid(53∶0.2)and acetonitrile as a mobile phase, gradient elution. The detection wavelength was 240 nm.The flow rate was at 1.0 mL/min.The column temperature was at room temperature.RESULTS:The linear range of geniposide was in the range of 1.9-76 ?g/mL,r=0.999 9,the average recovery was 101.3%.The linear range of baicalin was 10.58-423 ?g/mL,r=0.999 9,the average recovery was 100.6%.CONCLUSION:This method is rapid, sensitive and accurate. It indicates that geniposide and bai-calin in traditional Chinese medicine preparations can be determinated simultaneously, and the method can be used for quality control.
3.Concentration of hyaluronic acid in peritoneal fluid in patients with gastric carcinoma and its clinical significance
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(03):-
Objective: To study the relationship between the level of hyaluronic acid(HA) in peritoneal fluid in patients with gastric cancer and the invasion or diffusion of the cancer. Methods: The concentration of peritoneal fluid hyaluronic acid (PFHA) was determined by RIA in 48 patients with gastric cancer prior to and after operation. The PFHA from 23 non carcinoma patients were taken as control. The peritoneal fluid was obtained by the implantable Infuse Port. Results: The average PFHA level of gastric cancer group[(913.01?170.69) ?g/?g] was significantly higher than that of the non carcinoma control [(362.39?168.82) ?g/?g]. The PFHA concentration were significantly higher in groups of pTNM Ⅲ+Ⅳ [(1 094.42?127.65) ?g/?g] than that in groups of pTNM Ⅰ+Ⅱ [(814.03?232.22) ?g/?g]. The PFHA level in the radical resection group was significantly reduced a month after operation, and there were no significantly changes in patients received palliative resection. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the elevation of PFHA may be related to the peritoneal invasion and diffusion potential of gastric cancer. The PFHA level shows a decreasing tendency in patients received radical resection.
4.Porous titanium-niobium alloys with different porosities:biomechanical strength and cytocompatibility
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(38):5709-5715
BACKGROUND:Titanium-niobium al oy holds high biomechanical strength and low elastic modulus that is close to the human cortical bone, so it has been extensively used as implant materials of dental, orthopedics and artificial hip joints. OBJECTIVE:To observe the biomechanical strength and cytocompatibility of porous titanium-niobium al oys with different porosities. METHODS:Porous titanium-niobium al oys with the porosity of 40%and 70%were prepared using powder metal urgy technology. Afterwards, the pore size, elasticity modulus and compressive strength of the two al oys were detected. Then the rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s were seeded onto the 40%and 70%porous titanium-niobium al oys, and cel adhesion and proliferation were observed at 3, 24 and 72 hours after inoculation, respectively. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Pore size of porous titanium-niobium al oys with rough surface was 200-500μm, and both main pore size was 350 and 400μm, and there was three-dimensional connectivity between the pores;in the 70%group, honeycombed pores were partly fractured, and connected mutual y;pores distributed unevenly and there was little communication between the pores in the 40%group. In addition, both groups had high compressive strength and low elastic modulus, but there was no difference between the two groups. Furthermore, both two al oys promoted cel adhesion, and the number of cel adhesion in the 70%group was significantly higher than that in the 40%group (P<0.05), and extracel ular matrix could be found in the 70%group. These results show that porous titanium-niobium al oy with the porosity of 70%is significantly conducive to cel adhesion.

6.Clinical analysis of primary pancreatic lymphoma and differential diagnosis of pancreatic cancer
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2014;(2):113-116
Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment of primary pancreatic lymphoma (PPL). Methods:Clinical data of six PPL cases diagnosed and treated in the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results:In all cases, the primary clinical manifestations were abdominal pain, jaundice, and weight loss. The tumor marker level, including CA19-9, of all the cases was within the normal range, with five of the cases misdiagnosed as pancreatic cancer and one misdiagnosed as stomach cancer. In three cases, the pancreatic mass was located at the head of the pancreas, whereas in the other three, the mass was located at the body or tail. Pancreaticoduodenectomy was conducted in one case, laparotomy and biopsy in three cases, and B ultrasound-guided biopsy in the other two cases. All cases were diagnosed as PLL (B cell type non-Hodgkin's lymphoma). Ex-cept for one patient who left the hospital after surgery, the other five underwent chemotherapy. In addition to the death in one case be-cause of postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding, the survival times were 133, 73, 35, 12, and 10 months in the remaining cases. Conclu-sion:PPL is extremely rare in clinical practice, and the treatment methods and prognosis for the disease significantly differ from those for pancreatic cancer. PPL is easily misdiagnosed in clinical practice, which results in unnecessary treatment measures.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1994;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate the interventional chemoembolization combined with proton radiotherapy in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) accompanied with cancerous thrombus in the main portal vein. Methods Interventional chemoembolization combined with proton radiotherapy was performed in 46 patients of HCC accompanied with cancerous thrombus in the main portal vein. The proton radiotherapy was broke up into several fractions. The patients were treated with interventional chemoembolization and, alternatively, with proton radiotherapy. The short-term effectiveness and radiation reaction were evaluated. The survival rate was followed up. Results The effective rate was 91.3% . Disappearance of cancerous thrombus in the main portal vein was seen in 45.6% of patients. The liver functions were well restored, with a remarkable reduction in AFP. No acute or delayed radiation-induced hepatic damage or radiation hepatopathy occurred during the course of and after radiotherapy. The survival rate at 1, 6, 12 and 24 months was 100%, 89.1%, 52.2% and 21.4% respectively, with a median survival period of 17.6 months. Conclusion For the patients of HCC accompanied with cancerous thrombus in the main portal vein, interventional chemoembolization combined with proton radiotherapy is an effective, safe and newly-developed therapy.
