1.Calcium channels and calcium transport of placenta
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(3):305-307
Calcium metabolism and the transepithelial Ca2+ active transport play important roles in many basic physiological processes, such as neurotransmission,excitation-contraction coupling, vesicular secretion. Placenta is a link between maternal and fetal, transiting all the nutritions from maternal to the fetus. The syncytionbophoblast express many sorts of calcium channels/transporters and exchangers, such as voltage-dependant Ca2+ channels, transient receptor potential channels, store-operated Ca2+ channels, calcium-binding proteins, plasma membrane Ca2+ -ATPases, Na + / Ca2+ exchanger, which exhibit specific distribution and physiological properties. Therefore, this review focuses on the tissue expression and functional properties of channels, transporters, and exchangers in syncytionboph-oblasts.

In this article we present the types of wireless sensor network (WSN) and their application in the medical field, including patient monitoring, disability assistance, emergency rescue and biological monitoring. Then we propose the challenges that WSN has to face in medical field concerning the development issue of safety, energy consumption and reliability. Finally, foreground of the WSN technology is prospected.
4.Nitoprusside, dopamine and dobutamine for treatment of refractory heart failure
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(17):2336-2337
Objective To observe the clinical effect of nitroprusside, dopamine and dobutamine for treatment of refractory heart failure. Methods 60 patients with refractory heart failure were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. Clinical symptoms, signs, echocardiography and other changes were observed. Results The total effective rate was 86.67% ,control group was 66.67% ,the total effective between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05). After treatment, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) improved significantly compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusion The Sodium nitroprusside, dopamine and dobutamine for treatment of refractory heart failure was safe and effective method.
5.Study of inhibition of GABA on proliferation of cholangiocarcinoma cell line QBC939 and its mechanism
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2009;15(1):41-44
Objective To explore the effect of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) on the growth, apoptosis and telomerase activity of Cholangiocarcinoma cell line QBC939. Methods Cholangiocarcinoma cell line QBC939 was cultured by routine method, and then treated with different concentrations of GABA (1-1000 μmmol/L). The proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle of QBC939 cells was investigated by MTT, Flow cytometry and transmission electron microscopy. The telomer-ase activity of QBC939 cells was examined by modified PCR-ELISA assay. Radioimmunoassay was used to measure the intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP) content. Results The dif-ferent concentrations of GABA inhibited the growth of QBC939 cells and promoted the apoptosis. The apop-totic rate of QBC939 cells was increased from 4. 8% to 28. 03%, which had significant difference (P<0.05). It had no effect for distribution of cell cycle. Cell nuclear condensation and apoptotic bodies were seen by transmission electron microscopy. Telomerase activity was inhibited by GABA(0. 82±0. 048 vs 0.56±0. 054, P<0.05). The content of intracellular cAMP was increased with the increase of GABA concentration in a dose-dependent manner [(0. 59±0. 049) nmol/L vs (0. 82±0. 033)nmol/L, P<0. 05]. Conclusion GABA can inhibit the proliferation of QBC939 cells by promoting apoptosis and inhibiting telomerase activi-ty, which may be mediated by the information transmission of post-receptor.
6.Stenting for patients with high-risk and complicated carotid artery stenosis
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2011;19(4):255-260
Objective To investigate the intervention methods of patients with high-risk and complicated carotid artery stenosis. Methods Twenty-five patients with high-risk and complicated carotid artery stenosis were treated with stenting During the procedure, they used the individualized therapeutic programs, including the implantation of temporary cardiac pacing, ev3 filter, combination of predilation and postdilation, guiding catheter (coaxial technique), staged angioplasty and stenting, and multiple stent implantations. Results The technical success rate of the 25 patients was 100%. The symptoms disappeared or improved in 21 patients (84%). The intraoperative dislodgement of emboli occurred in 1 patient. Transient ischemic attack occurred in 1 patient. No patients died. Conclusions Treatment with stenting in patients with high-risk and complicated carotid artery stenosis is safe. The preoperative evaluation of risks, the use of intraoperative individualized treatment programs, and the postoperative standardized management are the preconditions for ensuring efficacy.

Objective To investigate the changes of soft and hard tissues after extraction space closure with micro-screw implant as orthodontic anchorage. Methods Twenty cases were selected randomly with the first premolars extraction. Micro-screw implant was used as orthodontic anchorage. Sliding technique was used to close the extraction space. The lateral cephalograms before and after the treatment were evaluated. Results The upper incisors moved 7. 15 mm palatelly, 1. 63 mm intruded. The upper first molar moved 0. 80 mm distally, 1. 80 mm intruded. The lower incisors moved 4. 65 mm distally, 0.48 mm extruded. The lower first molar moved 0. 18 mm mesially, 1.18 mm extruded. A point, B point, upper lip, lower lip showed distal movement. Conclusions Micro-screw implant can provide acceptable and reliable anchorage in the process of extraction space closure, and improve the profile. Besides, it produces skeletal change on the maxilla.
