Primary liver adenosquamous carcinoma is a rare kind of liver malignant tumor with very poor prognosis. Clinical data of 5 cases were analyzed retrospectively, four male and one female, whose average age was 60.2 years (50-67 years) old. Adenosquamous carcinoma contains both adenocarcinoma and squamous carcinoma histologically, and squamous carcinoma cells are dominant (>80%). Four cases underwent surgical resection and one received liver transplantation. The postoperative follow-up period ranged from 6 to 35 months and the mean survival time of these cases was about 15 months. Three patients died during the follow-up period. The survival rates 1 and 2 years after operation were 60% and 20%, respectively.

Objective To evaluate the usefulness of contrast enhanced ultrasound in the diagnosis of breast lesions. Methods Contrast enhanced ultrasound was performed after administration of SonoVue in 104 patients scheduled for surgical tumor removal. The enhancement morphology was classified as non, peripheral,homogeneous,regional,or heterogeneous enhancement based on distribution of enhancing areas. All breast lesions enhancement morphology were analyzed, and the diagnostic value of contrast enhanced ultrasound was calculated. Results The prevalence of non enhancement was significantly higher in benign lesions than in malignant ones(P = 0.013),and the prevalence of peripheral enhancement was significantly higher in malignant lesions than in benign ones (P = 6.02 × 10-7). Conclusions Contrast enhanced ultrasound is useful in diagnosis of breast lesions.

Filamentous fungi have been used in industrial fermentation extensively. Based on non-phosphorylating electron transport process, alternative respiration pathway (ARP) acts as an energy overflow, which can balance carbon metabolism and electron transport, allow the continuance of tricarboxylic acid cycle without the formation of ATP, and permit the turnover of carbon skeletons. Alternative respiration pathway also plays an important role in the stress response of fungi and the physiological function of conditioned pathogen. Alternative oxidase (AOX) is the terminal oxidase responsible for the activity of alternative respiration pathway, which exists widely in higher plants, parts of fungi and algae. Owing to the property that alternative oxidase (AOX) is sensitive to salicylhydroxamic acid (SHAM) and insensitive to conventional inhibitors of cytochrome respiration, alternative respiration pathway by AOX is also named as cyanide-resistant respiration (CRR). In recent years, the study of the alternative respiration pathway and alternative oxidase has been a hot topic in the area involving cellular respiration metabolism. In this review we summarized the latest research advances about the functions of alternative respiration pathway and alternative oxidase in industrial fungi.

Objective:To determine the expression of Mcm2(a member of MCMs family) in colorectal neoplasm and to assess the relationship between Mcm2 expression and clinicopathological characteristics of colorectal neoplasm.Methods: Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of Mcm2 in normal colorectal mucosa(n=23),adenoma(n=33),and cancer(n=69) tissues,and the results were quantified by calculating the labelling index(LI).Results: Mcm2 expression in normal colorectal mucosa was confined to the 1/3-1/2 of colonic crypts basal;there was no expression in coloncytes surface.In colorectal adenoma and cancer,Mcm2 expression was seen throughout epithelium,including the coloncytes surface.The median(range) LI of Mcm2 in these 3 tissues were 18%(5%-37%),35%(15%-75%),66%(41%-90%),respectively.The differences between normal mucosa,adenoma and cancer were statistically significant(P

Objective To investigate the relationship between interleukin 1β( IL?1β) , interleukin?33 ( IL?33) , neutrophil?to?lymphocyte ratio ( NLR ) and atrial fibrillation. Methods Eighty?two patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation treated in the department of cardiology in the Fourth People′s Hospital of Jinan from October 2015 to October 2016 were enrolled in the study,including 43 patients with persistent atrial fibrillation and 39 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. 50 healthy subjects were selected as the control group. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to determine the concentration of IL?1βand IL?33,and the left atrial diameter ( LAD) was measured by echocardiography. Results ( 1) The concentrations of IL?1β,NLR and LAD in the paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group were (24. 44±4. 89) ng/L,(2. 51±1. 22) %,(36. 16± 6. 12) mm,the concentrations of IL?1β,NLR and LAD in the persistent atrial fibrillation group were (26. 95±5. 86) ng/L,(5. 7±1. 8) %,(39. 36±4. 78) mm and the values in the control group were (19. 53±4. 51) ng/L,(1. 82 ± 0. 41 ) %, ( 33. 31 ± 2. 89 ) mm, respectively. Conclusion The levels of IL?1β, NLR and LAD in peripheral blood of patients with atrial fibrillation were significantly higher than those in patients with sinus rhythm,and there was a positive correlation between NLR and LAD.

Objective To evaluate the influence of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on autologous fat grafting breast augmentation surgery.Methods A lot of 40 patients were divided randomly into the treatment group and control group, each group of 20 cases.In the treatment group cases PRP was used in addition to autologous fat grafting.Chest circumference and thickness of subcutaneous fat were measured before and 6 month after operation and 12 months later.The results were compared and the influence of PRP was evaluated after operation.Results Both groups of patients were satisfied with the results.Compared with the control group, patients in the treatment group showed the chest circumference and thickness of subcutaneous fat were significantly increased 12 months after operation.Conclusions The efficacy of PRP is significant in enhancing fat graft, reducing fat absorption in 12 mouths after operation.The fat tissue mixed with PRP is a reliable reconstruction option for the breast augmentation.

Cerebrovascular diseases can lead to hemiplegia,hemiparaesthesia and hemianopia.However,patients with poor eyesight resulting from bilateral cerebral infarction are rare.The authors reported here the rehabilitation assessment and treatment of one case with hemiplegia and poor eyesight resulting from bilateral cerebral infarction.According to the poor eyesight of the patient,a rehabilitation program which was different from common program was designed,and the patient can walk independently and achieve basic activities of daily living independence underlying the treatment of the new rehabilitation program.The attention should be paid on the variant rehabilitation treatment process depending on variant condition of patients.
