1.Updated treatment of erectile dysfunction after prostatectomy.

The incidence rate of erectile dysfunction (ED) is reportedly as high as 30-90% after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer, which seriously affects the patients' quality of life. Penile rehabilitation is defined as the use of any drug or device at or after radical prostatectomy to maximize erectile function recovery. A variety of treatment options are available for post-prostatectomy ED patients, including oral phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors (PDE5I) , intracorporal injections, vacuum erection device, and penile prosthesis. This article presents an overview of the currently used methods for the drug treatment and penile rehabilitation of the ED patients after radical prostatectomy. It seems proper to recommend daily use of a vacuum erection device plus oral PDE5I in the early postoperative period. For those who fail to respond to this therapy, intraurethral alprostadil, intracorporal injections, or a penile prosthesis could be considered.

2.Advance and prospect in studies on anaphylactoid reaction of traditional Chinese medicine injections.

Because of the rapid action and high bioavailability, traditional Chinese medicine injections (TCMIs) had been widely used in clinical critical field. In recent years, with the increasing reports of clinical adverse reaction, more and more attention was paid to them, and acute allergic reaction was the main adverse reaction. Acute allergic reaction included type-I anaphylaxis reaction and anaphylactoid reaction, the latter had been found in a variety of TCMIs and accounted for 77% of adverse reaction. But the mechanism of anaphylactoid reaction was not completely understood, the standard animal model for TCMIs was not established, and the technical guidance for anaphylactoid reaction was not formulated. Thus the three aspects included mechanism, evaluation index and evaluation methods of TCMIs for anaphylactoid were reviewed. Five ways including direct stimulating pathway, complement pathway, coagulation pathway, kallikrein-kinin pathway and acute allergic pathway were the main mechanism of anaphylactoid reaction; whole animal model and cell model were the main evaluation methods; the occurrence index and effect index were reviewed for the evaluation index analysis.

6. The use of indocyanine green in sentinel lymph node biopsy in patients with breast cancer

Objective To explore the prospect of clinical application of indocyanine green (ICG) in sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) in patients with breast cancer. Methods Seventy-two female breast cancer patients were selected from those receiving surgery during July 2014 and December 2014, with an age range of 33-67 years and a median age of 50 years, and they were randomly divided into experimental group (n=35) and control group (n=37), ICG and methylene blue as tracers were used respectively for SLNB. The surgical specimens were submitted to frozen section for pathological examination. The patients with metastasis to SLN received axillary lymph node dissection. Results The successful detection rate of metastasis to SLN by ICG method was 94.3%, with a total of 111 SLNs, with an average of 3.17 SLNs for each patient, and the accuracy rate was 94.3%, the sensitivity and false negative rate were 100% and 0%, respectively. On the other hand, the detection rate with methylene blue method was 92.0%, including 78 SLNs, with an average of 2.1 SLNs for each patient, and the accuracy rate was 89.2%, the sensitivity and false negative rates were 92.9% and 7.7%, respectively. The differences between two methods in the average SLNs and false-negative rate were statistically significant (P<0.05), but the differences in detection rate, accuracy and sensitivity were not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion ICG method for SLNB in breast cancer shows a higher success rate and lower false negative rate, indicating that its clinical efficacy is superior to that of methylene blue, therefore it may be hopeful to be used alone in SLNB for breast cancer.
7.The flow cytometry of trabecular meshwork cells apoptosis in Monglia with primary angle closure glaucoma

Background Research showed that the morbidity rate of primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG) in Mongolian population is 3.02 times more than Han nationality population.To understand the cause and mechanism of PACG in Mongolia is of an important significance.Objective This study was to investigate the pathogenesis of Mongolian PACG.Methods Thirty-two eyes of 32 PACG patients in Mongolia and 40 eyes of 40 PACG patients of Han peoples were included in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Hospital according to the diagnosis criteria of glaucoma group of Chinese Medical Ophthalmology Association (version 1987),and 13 eyes of 13 normal Mongolia and 17 eyes of 17 normal Han peoples who suffered with ocular truma were recruited as controls.Intraocular pressure(IOP) was measured before surgery.The trabecular meshwork tissue was obtained from all the eyes during the operation.Annexinv-FITC/PI double staining was performed and the apoptosis rate of trabecula cells was tested with flow cytometry.Written informed consent was obtained initial of the study.Results The IOP value in Mongolia PACG group,Han PACG group,Mengolia normal group and Han normal group was (35.97±7.11)mmHg,(38.70± 6.82) mmHg,(14.69 ± 2.91) mmHg and (13.59 ± 2.91) mmHg,respectively,showing a significant difference among the 4 groups(F=106.144,P=0.000),and the IOP was significantly higher in the Mengolia PACG group and Han PACG group than the normal groups(P<0.05).The apoptosis rate of the cells was (7.14±0.67)%,(5.40±0.69) %,(5.86±0.91) % and(2.29±0.65) % in the Mongolia PACG group,Han PACG group,Mongolia normal group and Han normal group,respectively,with a significant difference among them (F =174.888,P =0.000),and apoptosis rate of the Mongolia PACG group was significantly higher than that of the Han PACG group and the Mongolia normal group (P<0.05).No significant difference was found between the Mongolia PACG group and the Han PACG group or between the Mongolia normal group and Han normal group (P>0.05).The cell apoptosis rate was increased with the elevation of IOP (b =0.990,F=10.209,P =0.009) with the regression equition Y =2.788 +0.092X.Conclusions The apoptosis rate of trabecula cells in Mongolian is higher than Han people.If these results are associated with the high incidence of Mengolia PACG is worth of study.
8.The Effects of Spirulina on Intestinal Microflora of Diarrhea Model Mice

The effects of Spirulina on intestinal microflora of diarrhea model mice were observed.Diarrhea model mice were geted by gastric perfusion ampicillin,then these mice were given different doses spirulina by gavage.Selective culture media were used to culture bifidobacteria,bacterium lacticum,enteric bacilli,enterococci,bacteroid,clostridium perfringens in feces at different times.In order to find the difference of collecting samples from feces and intestine,the quantity of detection flora in different segment of intestine were compared too.The result showed that in middle dose group and high dose group spirulina can regulate and improve intestinal flora of diarrhea model mice,and effectively shorten time from disturbance to balance.Fecal sample and intestinal contents sample both manifest a same trend,that is the quantity of bifidobacteria,bacterium lacticum in treatment recovery group is significantly higher than saline group,and enteric bacilli,enterococci,bacteroid,clostridium perfringens is significantly lower than saline group,but each index flora in intestinal contents sample has a significant difference in quantity.
9.Projections from respiratory neurons of medulla oblongata to the motor neuron pool of phrenic nerve in rat:An HRP retrograde tracing study

ObjectiveTo observe the projections from respiratory neurons of medulla oblongata to the motor neuron pool of phrenic nerve in rat. MethodsBy using horseradish peroxidase (HRP) retrograde tracing technique after injecting HRP into phrenic nerve, retrograde labelled neurons were found in C3-C5 segment. Then, HRP was injected into the area where the phrenic motor neurons occupied, retrograde labelled neurons were found in medulla oblongata. ResultsPhrenic motor neurons locate in the C3-C5 segment ipsilaterally, occuping the intermediate portion of anterior horn and appearing typical motor neurons. Retrograde labelled neurons were found bilaterally in medulla oblongata, the neurons were located in nucleus retroambigualis (RNA), ventramedial area to nucleus retrofacialis (NRF). ConclusionThe phrenic motor neurons may receive direct projection of respiratory neuron in medulla oblongata, the projecting neurons are distributed in RNA and NRF area.
