This experimental study was aimed to find the effect of different package and storage conditions on the content of effective components of A stragalus pieces. A stragalus pieces were stored under different storage conditions by using different packaging materials and packaging methods. Every three months, the contents of Calycosin-7-glu-coside and astragaloside were determined according to the 2010 version of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. With the extend-edstorage time, the contents of two effective components were significantly decreased. After six-monthstorage, the contents were not consistent with the standard of the pharmacopoeia standards. Room temperature had relatively big influence on the loss of content. The plastic and aluminum paperpackagingwere better than kraft paper packaging. The content ofastragaloside using non vacuum packaging method was relatively higher than the vacuum packaging. Contentunder the conditions of cool storehouse and nonvacuum plastic bags was higher than other packagingmethod. And the changes of both contents were relatively stable. It was concluded that the A stragaluspieces should be packed with non vacuum plastic bags, and stored in a cool and dry place.

Objective:To retrospectively compare the clinical efficacy of percutaneous vertebroplasty and biopsy by unilateral and bilateral pedicle approaches for the treatment of vertebral metastasis. Methods:From June 2020 to July 2022, a total of 82 patients with vertebral metastasis underwent percutaneous vertebroplasty and biopsy treated in Linyi Cancer Hospital were enrolled, 39 patients with 57 vertebral bodies were performed by unilateral pedicle approach (unilateral group) and 43 patients with 52 vertebral bodies were performed by bilateral pedicle approaches (bilateral group), used bone cement filling vertebral bodies after biopsy. The clinical efficacy and the positive rate of biopsy were compared between the two groups. Results:Both groups experienced significant pain relief in the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score and improvement in the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) score after operation ( P<0.05), but there were no significant differences between the two groups ( P>0.05). The operative time for a single vertebra, volume of bone cement in unilateral group were less than those in the bilateral group:(44.81 ± 13.01) min vs. (31.84 ± 11.87) min, (4.87 ± 0.92) ml vs. (4.18 ± 0.90) ml, there were significant differences ( P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the incidence of bone cement leakage and the positive rate of biopsy between both groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Percutaneous vertebroplasty and biopsy by unilateral and bilateral pedicle approaches are significant improvement for symptoms and functions of patients with vertebral metastasis. The clinical efficacy and the positive rate of biopsy are similar. But the former has easier operation procedure, shorter operative time and less volume of bone cement.

Objective To explore the influence of different hardness surfaces on gait coordination in patients with functional ankle instability(FAI). Methods Qualisys Infrared Optical Motion Capture System was used to test the coordination and variability of 15 FAI patients on the right side at Nanjing Normal University from May to July,2023.The gait cycle data were collect-ed and intercepted, and coupling angle(CA)and standard deviation of coupling angle(SDCA)were calculated by Matlab to compare the differences on different hardness surfaces. Results On coronal plane,CA of hip-ankle joint was higher on the hard surface than on the soft surface during middle stage of support and early stage of swing, and lower on its rest stages and the gait stages of hip-knee joint and knee-ankle joint than on the soft surface(P<0.01).On sagittal plane,CA of hip-ankle joint and knee-ankle joint was smaller on the hard surface than on the soft surface during middle and late stages of support, and larger than on the soft surface during their rest stages, and the gait stages of hip-knee joint(P<0.01).On horizontal plane,CA of hip-knee joint was lower on the hard surface than on the soft surface during the late stage of support, and higher than on the soft surface during its early stage of swing and bearing stage of hip-ankle joint(P<0.01).Compared with the hard surface,SDCA was smaller on the soft surface than on the hard surface only in the hip-ankle on the sagittal plane and during bearing stage of hip-knee joint, and was greater than on the hard surface for the rest(P<0.01). Conclusion FAI patients showed more distal dominance on soft surface than on hard surface during most gait cycle on 3D plane,i.e.,advantage of ankle varus and plantar flexion increased, and advantage of hip joint decreased;the coordination variability was generally higher on soft surface than on hard surface. These findings suggested that FAI patients may increase the risk of recurrent lateral ankle sprain walking on soft surface.

Objective:To observe the effect of combining scalp acupuncture with feedback training on muscle tone, motor ability, plantar pressure distribution and joint range of motion of stroke survivors with lower limb spastic paralysis. Methods:A total of 212 stroke survivors were randomly divided into a combination group ( n=70), an exercise group ( n=70) and a scalp acupuncture group ( n=72) according to a random number table. All of the patients received routine medication and 120 minutes of rehabilitation training six days a week for 8 consecutive weeks. The rehabilitation training included guidance on good posture, posture change training, balance training and gait training. The scalp acupuncture and exercise groups were additionally provided with 40 minutes of scalp acupuncture and lower limb intelligent feedback training, while the combination group was given both. Muscle tension, balance and lower extremity movement were quantified before and after the training, and a gait evaluation system was used to detect the plantar pressure distribution on the affected side and the range of motion range of the lower limb joints during walking. Results:After the treatment, significant differences were observed in the average modified Ashworth scores, modified Berg scale scores, Fugl-Meyer lower extremity ratings and modified Barthel Index scores compared with before the treatment. The average scores of the combination group were then significantly better than those of the other two groups. The average load bearing ratios of the affected toes, metatarsal bones Ⅰ-V, medial arch, external arch, medial heel and external heel had improved significantly in all of the groups, with the improvement of the combination group again significantly greater than those of the other groups. The same pattern of improvement was observed in the groups′ average pelvic rotation angles, hip flexion angles, knee flexion angles and ankle dorsiflexion angles. Conclusion:Combining scalp acupuncture with intelligent feedback can significantly improve lower extremity functioning after a stroke. That should improve performance in the activities of daily living of stroke survivors.
