Objective To investigate characteristics and ultrasonic imaging of the nano-scale ultrasound-enhanced contrast in vivo. Methods Nano-scale microbubbles were prepared by machine vibration and low speed centrifugation. The surface morphology and average size distribution of microbuble were measured. The contrast-enhanced effect of the hahn-scale microbubbles in the normal rabbit liver was observed, and compared with micro-scale microbubbles. Results The nano-scale microbubbles had a good shape and uniform distribution by light microscope and transmission electron microscope, with average diameter of 623.4 nm and surface electric potential of 1.3 inV. The contrast imaging study in vivo showed the nano-scale microbubbles could significantly enhance ultrasonic imaging of rabbit livers, which had no obvious difference with micro-scale microbubbles. Conclusions The nano-scale ultrasound contrast agent is stable and effective for the enhancement of ultrasound imaging, which is based on development of miniaturizing targeting ultrasound contrast agent.

Objective To observe the influences of stemona alkaloids on esterase isozymes activities and glycogen content of Oncomelania hupensis in order to explore the molluscicidal mechanism of stemona alkaloids. Methods O.hupensis snails were immersed in the liquid of stemona alkaloids at the concentration of 6.5 mg/L(72 h LC50),the surviving ones were picked out and sampled after being immersed for 12,24,48,72,96 h,then PAGE and anthrone colorimetry methods were used to observe the changes of liver esterase isozymes activities and tissue glycogen content of O.hupensis during the immersion period.A group of snails immersed in de-chlorinous water served as control. Results Esterase isozymes activities firstly increased, and then decreased until almost lost completely during the 96 h immersion period.Meanwhile, glycogen content gradually decreased as the immersion time extended. After being immersed for 96 h,glycogen content decreased by 72.00% compared with the control group. Conclusion Stemona alkaloids could inhibit the viability of O.hupensis by causing decrease of esterase isozymes activities and glycogen content.

AIM: To establish a method for detecting the residual solvents in protopanaxdiol. METHODS: Capillary GC with HP-PLOT-Q column (30 m ? 0. 53 mm ? 1. 0 ?m) was used to determine residual in protopanaxdiol. N,N-dimethyl-acetamide as solvent media,FID detector and nitrogen as the carrier gas. RESULTS: There was a good linearity at the experimental concentration (r = 0. 999 96-0. 999 99),the RSD of precision was less than 6. 0 % . The spotting recovery of the 3 residul, including methol, ethyl acetate and n-butanol,was in the range of 98. 2%-102. 2% ,and its’RSD was 1. 1%-2. 4% . CONCLUSION: The method is simple, accurate and of high sensitivity, can be used for the determination of residual solvents in protopanaxdiol.

Objective To explore the clinical features and the management of incision of scalp pain after craniotomy. Methods 129 patients after craniotomy without postoperative neuralgia were involved. The onset, severity, and characteristics of the pain were recorded within 1 week after the craniotomy. Patients with moderate-severe pain were given oxycodone and acetaminophen (treatment group) or rotundine (control) for 3 d. Results 39.5%(51/129)of patients experienced moderate to severe postoperative pain. After treatment, 76.9% (20/26) in treatment group and 36.0% (9/25) in control were released from the pain (P<0.01). The pain intensity differences and sum of pain intensity differences were more in treatment than in control (P<0.01). Conclusion Incision of scalp pain is common after craniotomy. Oxycodone and acetaminophen, called multimodal analgesia is efficacious and safe for it.

OBJECTIVETo explore the improvement of dendritic cells' (DCs) functions in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients by two different drugs plasma, i.e., Shen supplementing and detoxification (SSD) and Pi invigorating and detoxification (PID), thus comparing which method was more effective to activate DCs to improve T lymphocyte functions.
METHODSTotally 30 CHB outpatients were recruited. They were assigned to the immune tolerant group and the immune clearance group, 15 in each group. Totally 60 mL peripheral blood was extracted to isolate and develop mature DCs. Chinese compound containing (Liuwei Ganlu Syrup for SSD) and (Sijun Ganlu Syrup for PID) plasma were added to promote the maturation of DCs on the 7th day. Besides, non-drug plasma was taken as the control. On the ninth day, HBV core 18-27 loaded core peptide and its own T lymphocyte were co-cultivated for 72 h. Then T lymphocytes were collected. The expression levels of CD3, CD28, CD4, and CD8, programmed death-1 (PD-1) were detected using flow cytometry.
RESULTSCompared with non-drug plasma, the expression levels of CD3, CD4, and CD28 could be improved, and the expression levels of CD8 and PD-1 could be reduced by the two methods, showing statistical difference (P < 0.05). Besides, SSD containing plasma showed better effect in improving the molecular CD28 expression rate, and reducing the molecular PD-1 expression rate on the T cell surface, showing statistical difference when compared with that of PID containing plasma (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSIn vitro intervention of DCs by SSD and PID containing plasmas combined co-cultivation of its own T lymphocytes could promote the activation of DCs to improve the function of T cells and the expression of T cell surface molecules. Besides, SSD showed more significant effect on infection immune of HBV patients in the tolerance stage.
