The change of gravity causes a series of physiological dysfunctions, such as redistribution of blood, destruction of skeleton, reduction of hemopoietic tissue and so on.Since the success of mission to the moon and construction of space station, the study on change of human physiological functions under microgravity has been underway. With the machine of microgravity developing maturely, associated researches have made big steps forward. However, intensive study on the changes of human hemostasis and thrombosis under the microgravity are still needed, especially in the area of high incidences of bleeding and thrombotic diseases. The result will help to prevent hemostasis and thrombosis on astronaut and promote the development of our national aerospace industry.

Objective To compare the effects of different prone and supine position duration within 24-hour period on mini-pig acute lung injury (ALI)models. Methods Fifteen female mini-pigs,mean weight (30.2±3.2) kg, length (76.5±5.9) cm were anesthetized and ventilated. Hydrochloric acid (pH 1.0)was aspirated intratracheally to create ALI model. Mini-pigs were assigned randomly into three groups: p rone 8 h group, prone 8h then supine 16 h; 16 h group, prone 16 h then supine 8 h; 24 h group, prone 24 h continuously. Min-pigs were euthanasia at the end of the experiment to take out the lung, examine the tissue change and calculate the wet to dry weight ratio of lung (W/D). Sample was cut into slices and carried on hematoxylin and eosin (HE) stain which was intended to calculate injury score by semi ration score criteria. Results W/D, and injury score were lower in 16 h group and 24 h group than the 8 h group, whereas no significant differences among the three groups. Conclusions Prone position for 16 hours or longer could decrease oxygenation by decreasing inflammation in acute lung injury(ALI)animal models.

International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2010;33(2):121-124
Under the condition of microgravity, human body will experience a series of cardiovascular deconditioning. The vascular endothelial cells are the most important component of the vessel wall, so the changes of biological characteristics of vascular endothelial cells are directly related to cardiovascular deconditioning. Therefore, it is important to prevent and treat the cardiovascular deconditioning in astronauts by studying the effect of microgravity on biological characteristics of vascular endothelial cells.

Objective To investigate the correlation of biofilm forming ability with biofilm associated gene of the clinically isolated Staphylococcus aureus for providing basis for the further studies of the mechanisms of biofilm formation. Methods Safranine staining was conducted for the detection of the forming ability of biofilm in 96-well plates.icaAD,icaBC,sar, agr and sigB was amplified by PCR.Results Formation of biofilm could be found macroscopically in 17 out of 27 strains, especially to X387 and X409.icaAD and icaBC were amplified in 22 isolates and sar,agr and sigB in all 27 S.aureus strains. Conclusion ica operon is the key gene for biofilm formation but cooperative action of other genes is needed during the process of biofilm formation.

Objective To study the macrolide-resistance,ability of biofilm formation and icaA-genetypes of 68 stains of clinically isolated Staphylococcus epidermidis(S.epidermidis) so as to explore the efficacy of macrolide to prevent biofilm-associated infections caused by S.epidermidis.Methods Minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) were detected by agar-plate dilution method, and microtiter-plate assay was used to investigate the ability of biofilm formation, and icaA genetype was identified by PCR.Results High macrolide-resistant rate(88.2%) was showed for clinical isolated S.epidermidis, and biofilms for macrolide-resistant strains were significantly stronger than that of macrolide-sensitive strains, but there was no dependability found between these two for icaA positive rate. Conclusion Frequently-used macrolide such as erythromycin, azithromycin, and clarithromycin may incompetence to prevent biofilm-associated infections caused by S.epidermidis.

Objective The association between Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection and allergic diseases was controversial. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between H.pylori infection and allergic diseases. Methods A questionnaire survey regarding the general health condition and allergic diseases was carried out in patients who had taken gastroscopy at People's Hospital of Peking University from September 2015 to April 2016.H.pylori infection was detected by the H.pylori antibody, rapid urease test and gastric mucosa pathology. Results There were 1 034 patients were enrolled in this study. The rate of H.pylori infection was 20.5%(212/1 034).The frequencies of contact dermatitis,urticaria,food/drug allergy, allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma were 6.9%(71/1 034),15.5%(160/1 034),18.0%(186/1 034),20.8%(215/1 034) and 3.4%(35/1 034),respectively.The rate of the food/drug allergy was significantly lower in the H.pylori-positive group than in the H.pylori-negative group(11.8 %(25/212) vs.19.6%(161/822),χ2=6.940,P=0.008).The risk of food/drug allergy in H.pylori-positive group was 0.611(95% CI:0.386-0.966,P=0.035) in the multivariate analysis. When the patients were divided into age-dependent groups, the rate of the food/drug allergy was significantly lower in the H.pylori-positive group than in the H.pylori-negative group(10.9 %(11/101) vs.20.6%(101/490),χ2=5.152,P=0.023) in those patients ≥50 years old. There were not statistically significant differences on contact dermatitis, urticaria, eczema, asthma and allergic rhinitis between helicobacter pylori positive group and negative group(P>0.05).Conclusion H.pylori infection may be a protective factor in food/drug allergy and the protective effect enhanced by infection time.

Objective To observe the effects of early postnatal exposure to low-dose m-tolyl methylcarbamate(MTMC) on neurobehavior and spatial learning and memory ability in adolescent and early adult mice, and to dertermine when to affect this ability. Methods ICR mice pups randomly divided into 5 groups received intraperitoneal injections(i.p.) of different doses of MTMC(5 mg?kg-1,0.5 mg?kg-1,0.05 mg?kg-1),DMSO solution and normal saline respectively every other day during postnatal days(PND) 3~13.The general physiological condition and neural development of mice during experiment were evaluated, and a battery of tasks,i.e.hole-board test, beam walking, open field,Morris water maze(MWM),was used to assess their neurobehavior and spatial learning and memory ability in different time. Results Scores were negatively correlated to the doses of MTMC by Spearman rank correlation analysis in beam walking on PND60(rs=-0.418,P
