ObjectiveTo observe the effect of integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy on pelvic inflammation. Methods40 patients of chronic pelvic inflammation were as the group of integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy and received Chinese herbal medicine treatment (by taken orally, clysis and hot compress), acupuncture, mental state therapy etc. Other 36 cases were as the control group and only received Chinese herbal medicine treatment by taken orally. Then effects of two groups were compared. ResultsIt shows that the group of integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy got obviously better results than the control group (P<0.01). ConclusionsThe integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy is more effective on chronic pelvic inflammation.

Objective To study the effect of estrogen on myocardial injury in hypothyroidism rats and to reveal the pathology of occurrence and development of the myocardial injury in hypothyroidism rats.Methods The model of hypothyroidism rats was established by feeding propylthiouracil.The pathology of the female group ( n =40 ) and male group ( n =40 ) was observed dynamicly.The presence of myocardial apoptosis cell was demonstrated by the method of terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dTUP nick end labeling (TUNEL).And the immunohistochemistry was used to determine the expression of Caspase-3 and Bcl-2 in the myocardial cells.Results The myocardial cell apoptosis appeared in hypothyroidism rats.With the development of the disease,the apoptosis myocardial cell was increased progressively (Female rats group:the numbers of myocardial cell apoptosis at 3,6,8,10,and 12 weeks were 16.40 ± 2.62,29.50 ± 2.67,34.50 ± 3.34,42.70 ±3.24,and 56.00 ± 2.90 respectively,P ＜ 0.05 ; Male rats group:the numbers of myocardial cell apoptosis at 3,6,8,10,and 12 week were 21.60 ± 2.67,35.50 ± 2.94,41.70 ± 2.96,46.70 ± 3.11,and 60.70 ± 3.31respectively,P ＜ 0.05 ),which indicated that estrogen may be related to myocardial cell apoptosis.Conclusion The myocardial cell apoptosis is related with the myocardial injury in hypothyroidism rats.Myocardial cell apoptosis may result in the myocardial injury.The estrogen participates in regulating apoptosis,but its function gradually weakens with the development of the hypothyroidism.

Objective To discuss the clinical application of the automated biopsy gun with a detachable coaxial cutting needle in performing percutaneous puncture biopsy of deep pulmonary lesions. Methods Of 144 patients who underwent percutaneous puncture biopsy for deep pulmonary lesions, coaxial automated biopsy gun was adopted in 83 (group A) and common biopsy gun in 61 (group B). The positive rate of biopsy, the accuracy of diagnosis and the occurrence of both pneumothorax and needle-track bleeding were calculated. Statistical comparison between the data of group A and B was made. Results Although no significant difference in both positive and diagnostic accuracy was found between two groups, the occurrence of both pneumothorax and needle-track bleeding in group A was significantly lower than that in group B (P

Objective To analyze and summarize the clinical , pathological features of 16 patients with centronuclear myopathy.Methods All of the 16 patients performed clinical examination and sporadic patients and a proband with family history ( n=6 ) performed serum creatine kinase , electromyography and open muscle biopsies , and the specimens were used for a standard series of histological and histochemical stainings.The clinical and pathological features of these patients were analyzed.Results The proportion of centronuclear myopathy in suspected myopathy cases was 0.127%(6/4 724) in our department.The onset time ranged from infancy to adulthood.The common initial symptoms included mild to moderate weakness of lower limbs and bilateral ptosis ( n =4 ).The other symptoms were facial weakness ( n =1 ) and ophthalmoplegia (n=1).There were 12 patients performing distal weakness exceeding proximal weakness . One family with autosomal dominant inheritance of 11 patients had a later age of onset than the sporadic ones and manifested bilateral ptosis , bilateral lower limbs weakness , especially in distal muscle.Muscle biopsies showed pronouncedly increased amount of fibers with centrally placed nuclei with predominant type Ⅰfibers and a clear perinuclear halo surrounding the centrally placed nuclei and an appearance of spoke of a wheel in some fibers.Conclusions This series of centronuclear myopathy patients manifest clinical heterogeneity.Muscle biopsies show features of centralized nuclei pronounced increase , type Ⅰfibers predominance , etc.These can provide evidences for the diagnosis of the disease.

OBJECTIVE: Discuss the clinical features of primary ectopic thyroid carcinoma. METHOD: The clinical data of three cases diagnosed of primary ectopic thyroid carcinoma in our department since 1990 were analyzed ret respectively and related literature was reviewed. RESULT: All three patients were young females that had cervical lumps before surgery. The pathology results confirmed the diagnosis of ectopic thyroid papillary carcinoma. All cases had followed up till now and no relapse signs occurred. CONCLUSION Ectopic thyroid tissue is resulting from developmental defects at early stages of thyroid gland embryogenesis. They can cancerization, the treatment of ectopic thyroid carcinoma is also controversial. Here,we report 3 cases of primary ectopic thyroid papillary carcinoma, all of which were removed by surgery, take thyroxin orally after surgery and have a great prognosis.

Objective To analyze the factors which influence the present nursing management ability in the alliance and to provide theoretical evidences and methods to improve the management. Methods 120 nursing administrators from 7 hospitals in the alliance were selected in convenience sampling for the site survey with customized questionnaires on nursing management ability appraisal. Results The valid return rate of the questionnaires is 100%;the average score of all respondents is 82.84±10.10;the differences in nursing management between the leading hospital and its members are statistically significant (P <0.05)while the differences among the members are not.Conclusion The leading hospitals play a very important role in improving the nursing management ability and administration in the alliance,which should integrate and leverage leadership roles to develop high quality nursing management among the hospitals in the alliance.

Objective To investigate the biological effects of exosomes secreted by KYSE410 cells on migration and invasion of KYSE410,KYSE510,YES2 cells and the possible mechanisms underlying the phenotype change.Methods The exosomes were isolated from the conditional supernatant of esophageal cancer cell line KYSE410 by ultracentrifugation.The morphology of exosomes was observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM).Western blotting was used to detect the protein markers of exosomes.The uptaken of fluorescence-labeled KYSE410 exosomes by KYSE410,KYSE510 and YES2 was also recorded under confocal microscopy.Migration and invasion ability of the three esophageal carcinoma cell lines and the effects of exosomes from KYSE410 on migration and invasion of KYSE410,KYSE510 and YES2 cells were analyzed by Transwell chamber,respectively.The alteration of Wnt/β-catenin and PI3K/Akt pathway-related proteins were detected by Western blotting.Results The membrane structure of KYSE410 derived exosomes could be observed with its diameter ranged between 30-100nm.The invasion and migration ability of three esophageal cancer cells are KYSE410＞ KYSE510＞ YES2.KYSE410 exosomes promoted the migration and invasion of KYSE410,KYSE510 and YES2 cells.Conclusions Concentrated exosomes derived from the highly migratory and invasive esophageal cancer cell line KYSE410 promoted the migration and invasion potentials of itself and esophageal cancer cell lines KYSE510 and YES2,which possibly exerted the effects by activating Wnt/β-catenin and PI3K/Akt signaling pathways.

Objective To figure out the effect of resveratrol (Res) in skin and lung pathology of systemic sclerosis (SSc) animal model and find a new target of anti-fibrosis therapy in SSc.Methods First, we establish ed SSc animal model by daily subcutaneous injection of bleomycin (BLM) for 4 weeks in BALB/c mice.Then we fed the mice with Res.We observed the pathological changes in skin and lung and the expression of the deacetylase SIRT1.We observed the following parametrs.The pathologicalchanges in injected skin and lung which shown by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, the expression of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) in injected skin and lung which measured by immunohistochemistry, the expression of SIRT1 and pro-collagen Ⅲ mRNA which assessed by Real Time polymerase chain reaction (PCR).For the homosce dasticity data.We used one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and LSD-t test to compare between the groups.Results Daily subcutaneous injection of BLM for 4 weeks in Balb/c mice could successfully establish a mouse model of SSc.The thickening of skin and alveolar septum, the infiltration of inflammatory cells in lung, and even fibrosis insome area of lung could be observed.The number of α-SMA positive cells and the expression of pro-collagen Ⅲ mRNA were increased (P＜0.05).Meanwhile, the expression of SIRT1 mRNA was decreased [the number of α-SMA positive cell: skin 26.4±5.9 vs 4.4±2.2, lung 14.6±4.6 vs 2.4±1.1, cells per view, P＜0.01;the expression of pro-collagen Ⅲ mRNA: 1.06±0.24 vs 0.45±0.14, relative to glyceraldehyde phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), P＜0.05].Meanwhile, the expression of SIRT1 mRNA was decreased (1.01±0.51 vs 5.03±1.59, relative to GAPDH, P＜0.05).Treated with Res, the pathological changes in skin and lung were alleviated and the number of α-SMA positive cells in lung and skin was decreased [skin 26.4±5.9 vs 10.0±3.5 (high dosage group), 26.4±5.9 vs 13.4±4.4 (medium dosage group);lung 14.6±4.6 vs 8.8±3.5 (high dosage group), cells per view, P＜0.05].There was were no significant differences in the expression of SIRT1 and pro-collagen Ⅲ mRNA in lung after treated by Res.Conclusion Daily subcutaneous injection of BLM for 4 weeks could successfully establish a mouse model of SSc.Res could be a new medicine for the treatment of SSc.
