Objective To study dynamic changes of T cell subsets and CD3+HLA-DR+T cells in peripheral blood of composite tissue transplantation-hand allograft recipients. Methods The levels of CD3+、CD3+CD4+、CD3+CD8+、CD3+HLA-DR+T cells and ratio of CD4/CD8 in peripheral blood of hand allograft recipients in different periods were examined by using flow cytometry. The recipients before transplantation were as the control groups. Results The first day after transplantation, the levels of CD3+、CD3+CD4+、CD3+CD8+、CD3+HLA-DR+T cells and ratio of CD4/CD8 all began to descend. The 3th to 5th day after transplantation, the levels were the lowest. The 8th day,the levels of CD3+、CD3+CD4+、CD3+CD8+、CD3+HLA-DR+T cells and ratio of CD4/CD8 were eventually rised and go to stable 15th day after transplantation. But the levels of CD3+、CD3+CD4+and value of CD4/CD8 were still lower than those of the contols, and the levels of CD3+CD8+、CD3+HLA-DR+T cells were higher distinctly. Conclusion Dynamic changes of T cell subsets and active T cells in peripheral blood of composite tissue transplantation-hand allograft recipients were accordant with that of renal allograft recipients with stable period and with stable clinical state of the hand transplantation recipients.

AIM: To examine the effect of protamine sulfate, lipopolysaccharide(LPS),tumor necrosis factor(TNF), epidermal growth factor(EGF) and " Bushen Huoxue Xiezhuo" (BHX) decoction on the proliferation of extracorporeal cultured rat glomerular epithelial cells (GEC). METHODS: Their action on the proliferation of rat GEC were investigated using the -TdR incorporation. Meanwhile, the serum of rats treated with BHX decoction was extracted pharmacologically and its effects on the growth of GEC were also studied. RESULTS: LPS, protamine sulfate, TNF-? and EGF could significantly inhibit the -TdR incorporation of GEC in a dose- and time-dependent manner. However, this inhibition could be efficiently reversed by the serum containing BHX decoction. CONCLUSION: GEC is one of the main target cells on which BHX decoction act, and the protection on GEC might be one of the mechanisms underlying the role of BHX decoction in preventing the progression of nephrosis.

BACKGROUND:Core decompression may provide insufficient support for the subchondral bone in the treatment of early avascular necrosis of the femoral head and increase the risk of fracture and colapse. Quadratus femoris implantation cannot only provide good biological support, but also promote the revascularization at necrotic regions, thus repairing the necrosis of femoral head. OBJECTIVE: To compare the clinical effects of core decompression with bone paste implantation and core decompression with quadratus femoris implantation on early and middle-stage avascular necrosis of the femoral head. METHODS:Eighty-three patients with early avascular necrosis of the femoral head (92 hips) admitted at the Department of Orthopedics, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, China, from January 2009 to January 2012 were enroled and divided into groups of core decompression with bone paste implantation (46 cases, 49 hips) and core decompression with quadratus femoris implantation (37 cases, 43 hips) that were respectively injected with bone meal and autogenous bone and osteoinductive materials. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Al involved patients were folowed up. After 1 year of treatment, Harris scores in the two groups were both increased (P < 0.05). But the Harris score of core decompression with bone paste implantation group was lower than that of core decompression with quadratus femoris implantation group (P < 0.05). After 3 years of treatment, X-ray scores in the core decompression with quadratus femoris implantation group were significantly higher than those in the core decompression with bone paste implantation group (P < 0.05). These findings indicate that compared with core decompression with bone paste implantation, core decompression with quadratus femoris implantation is better to prevent femoral head colapse, improve hip function and delay the process of osteonecrosis of the femoral head.

Objective To study the abnormal alteration of regions in bipolar depression patients,so as to investigate its pathophysiologic mecha?nism. Methods Regional homogeneity(ReHo)technology of resting?state functional magnetic resonance imaging were used to compare 24 bipolar depression patients and 28 healthy controls. Results Compared to the healthy controls, the bipolar depression patients exhibited significantly higher ReHo value in the bilateral superior frontal gyrus, the bilateral middle frontal gyrus, the bilateral medial frontal cortex, the bilateral supplementary motor area, the left paracentral lobule and the left precentral gyrus(all P<0.001). Conclusion The abnormal function in the bilateral superior frontal gyrus, the bilateral middle frontal gyrus, the bilateral medial frontal cortex, the bilateral supplementary motor area, the left paracentral lobule and the left precentral gyrus may associate with the mechanism of pathophysiology in bipolar depression.

Objective To explore the effects of ligustrazine on secretion of nitric oxide(NO) in ventricular tissues of rats under physiologi-cal condition. Methods Twenty-four normal wistar rats were divided into three groups, eight each group. The left and right ventricular tissues of each rats were divided into control group and 2 ligustrazine groups and the final concentrations of ligustrazine were 15 mg/L and 150 mg/L respectively. The ventricular tissues that had been cutting into small pieces were incubated in 37 ℃ thermostatic water bath for 4 hours with Krebs solution as supernatant. After incubation of the ventricular tissues, the spectrophotometric method was used to detect the content of NO_2~-/NO_3~-in the supernatant. Results Compared with the content of NO in control group,it was significantly decreased in the 150 mg/L ligustrazine group(P

High-risk human papillomavirus infection is the major cause of tumors such as cervical cancer and head and neck cancer.MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are 20-25nt small non-coding RNAs,which are involved in the proliferation, apoptosis, invasion and migration of tumors.HR-HPVs,which integrate into the host genome, encode three oncogenes:E6,E7 and E5 and enhance carcinogenesis by regulating downstream miRNAs and genes e.g.p53 and pRb.

To investigate the prevalence of Enterococcus faecalis in saliva and filled root canals of patients requiring endodontic retreatment for apical periodontitis. Patients with apical periodontitis who were referred for endodontic retreatment were examined. The type and quality of the restoration, symptoms, quality of obturation were recorded. During retreatment, an oral rinse sample and root canal sample were cultured using brain-heart infusion agar and bile esculinazide agar to select for E. faecalis. The 16S rRNA technique was used to identify E. faecalis. A total of 32 women and 22 men (mean age: 38 years; s.d.: 11 years) and 58 teeth were studied. The prevalence of E. faecalis was 19% in the saliva and 38% in the root canals. The odds that root canals harbored E. faecalis were increased if the saliva habored this bacterium (odds ratio=9.7; 95% confidence interval=1.8-51.6; P<0.05). Teeth with unsatisfactory root obturation had more cultivable bacterial species in root canals than teeth with satisfactory root obturation (P<0.05). E. faecalis is more common in root canals of teeth with apical periodontitis than in saliva. The prevalence of E. faecalis in root canals is associated with the presence of E. faecalis in saliva.
