1.The changes of ocular anterior segment configuration following phacoemulsification determined by anterior segment OCT
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2016;34(6):566-570
Cataract is a main blinding eye disease worldwide, follwed by glaucoma.Expension of lens volume occurs in early stage of age-related cataractous eyes, which is a risk factor of Primary angle-closure glaucoma, and phacoemulsification is a feasible approach to remove it.However, how to select the timing of operation and determine the prognosis is the major challenge for ophthalmologists. In order to evaluate the influence of phacoemulsification on ocular anterior segment configuration,we collected the information of 17 articles that quantitatively analyzed the ocular anterior segment parameter changes after phacoemulsification, determined by anterior segment OCT (AS-OCT).Total 866 eyes that received phacoemulsification for age-related cataract were included in the following-up duration for 6 months, and the results showed that the mean anterior chamber depth (ACD),anterior chamber volume (ACV),anterior chamber angle (ACA),angle opening distance 500 μm anterior to the scleral spur (AODS00),angle opening distance 750 μm anterior to the scleral spur (AOD750),trabecular-iris space area 500 μm from scleral spur (TISA500),trabecular-iris space area 750 μm from scleral spur(TISA750),and angle recess area 750 μm anterior to the scleral spur (ARA 750) were increased, but the mean anterior chamber width (ACW) and iris thickness measured at 750 μm (IT750) were not significantly changed, while the postoperative iris curvature (I-Curv),iris cross-sectional area and convex hull of iris segments were decreased after phacoemulsification. In addition, the postoperative ACD,TISA500 showed positive correlations to preoperative lens thickness, and the ACD and AOD500 in 3 months after operation were positively correlated to the preoperative lens value (LV).This systematic review concluded that phacoemulsification could be used for the treatment of glaucoma by relieving pupillary block, reducing the iris oppression, deepening the anterior chamber and opening anterior chamber angle.
2.A phenotypic overlap of an atypical form of rapid onset dystonia-parkinsonism and paroxysmal weakness: one case report
Chinese Journal of Neurology 2021;54(5):495-498
ATP1A3 gene mutations are associated with a wide spectrum of neurological symptoms. This article describes a case in children, which is caused by mutation of ATP1A3 gene. A seven years old boy presented with symptoms of fever-induced generalized dystonia, dysarthria, and paroxysmal weakness. Gene sequencing results showed that the ATP1A3 gene in the boy had heterozygous mutations of c.1838C>T. Combined with the clinical manifestations, gene mutations and literatures, the patient was diagnosed as a phenotypic overlap of an atypical form of rapid onset dystonia-parkinsonism and paroxysmal weakness. The results of genetic testing can contribute to the early diagnosis of patients with atypical and overlapping phenotypes in ATP1A3 spectrum disorder.
3.Interpretation of "ACOG Practice Bulletin of Pregnancy and Heart Disease (2019)"
Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2021;24(2):135-140
Maternal heart disease has emerged as one of the major diseases threatening pregnant women's safety and long-term cardiovascular health. It is worth noting that there is a large gap in pregnancy prognosis with various cardiovascular diseases. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has published a practice bulletin named "Pregnancy and Heart Disease" in April 2019, which addressed the prevalence, risk factors, and heart disease effects on pregnancy and the puerperium. It outlined the common types and tiered care recommendations for cardiovascular diseases during pregnancy and puerperium.

New technologies and ideas are constantly emerging recently. With the arrival of the era of minimally invasive surgery, most of the colorectal cancer surgeries can be conducted through minimally invasive techniques. In this study, we discuss the status, characteristics, controversy, and consensus of minimally invasive techniques in colorectal cancer surgery.
5.Laboratory examination of invasive fungal disease in children and its evaluation
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2016;23(9):581-584
Pediatric invasive fungal disease( IFD)often lacks characteristic clinical manifestations and imaging changes. It is a severe disease in ICU and is unlikely to be diagnosed early. The diagnosis of IFD is typically based on laboratory tests targeting at the population at risk. The laboratory tests for IFD generally include direct tests( smear microscopy, fungal culture, histopathologic examination, etc. ),serologic tests( tests for 1,3-β-D dextran and galactomannan, etc. ),and certain progresses have been made in molecular biologi-cal tests in recent years. It is key to diagnosis of IFD to use laboratory tests rationally and accurately interpret the laboratory results.
6.Construction of a middle fragment-deleted class Ⅱ molecule transactivator mutant by modified OE-PCR technique
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2001;0(09):-
Objective:To develop a simple and efficient method for constructing a middle fragment-deleted mutant of MHC class Ⅱ molecule transactivator(CⅡTA)mutant with the 109~(th)to 226~(th) amino acid codons deleted. Methods: Two gene fragments at each end of the deleted CⅡTA gene were obtained by OE-PCR method and were mixed together for 8 PCR cycles without primers to achieve effective overlapping, then 2 primers was added for amplification of the desired fragments. The amplification products were subsequently cloned into eukaryotic vector pIRES for identification. Results: A mutant of CⅡTA with the 109~(th)to 226~(th) amino acids deleted was successfully constructed. Conclusion: This modified OE-PCR technique overcomes some shortcomings of traditional method and is very suitable for constructing mutants with middle fragment deletion, making it worth to be popularized.

9.Application of bedside ultrasonography in PICU
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2015;22(6):361-365
Bedside ultrasonography is used to provide information about the cardiovascular system and the function and anatomy of certain internal organs, and help to guide the invasive procedures.Compared to traditional ultrasonography, bedside ultrasonography is more focused on the optimization of the treatment. It has become a necessary tool,as a powerful adjunct to the physical examination,in the management of critically ill patients in advanced countries. The development trend is the clinical protocol based on bedside ultrasonog-raphy.The application of bedside ultrasonography in China is limited, especially in PICU.Standardized educa-tion and quality assurance system are needed to its popularization.

Microbiology 2008;0(08):-
A fungus CQ31 isolated from soil samples was identified as Chaetomium sp.. This strain produced effectively xylanases utilizing several liguocellulosic materials in the solid-state fermentation (SSF), and corn straw was the best carbon source. The results of single-factor-experiment showed that the corn straw as the carbon source, tryptone as the nitrogen source, initial moisture content of 80% and initial pH 9.0 were the optimal conditions for xylanase production. Under the optimized conditions, it produced xylanase which was 4897 U/g dry substrate while mannanase was 803 U/g dry substrate after 7 days of cultivation. Therefore, xylanase and mannanase production by Chaetomium sp. CQ31 in SSF possess potential for commercial applications.
