1.Identification of the Images of Chinese Herb Slices with Deep Convolutional Network
World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2017;19(2):218-222
It is of great importance that deep learning of computer for the automate identification of the two-dimensional image of Chinese herbal slices is valuable in the application to medicine, production and education.Traditional methods usually extract low-level image features for the identification, but they cannot give robust recognition results under complex backgrounds. Therefore, higher level image representation is necessary in the image identification.A public Chinese herbal medicine database was constructed with 50 common categories and 2,554 images in total, for training and evaluating our recognition model. Then, the sofimax loss function was adopted to train the convolutional neural network model. As a result, the convolutional neural network can achieve the average precision of 70% under all the 50 medicine herbal classes. In conclusion, convolutional neural network can obtain good results in image identification with complex backgrounds and mutually occluded herbal slices, which has promising potential for future applications.
2.Dieting and Eating Disorder of Female Students in Colleges in Beijing
Chinese Mental Health Journal 2002;0(11):-
Objective: To study dieting status and prevalence of eating disorder in female students of colleges in Beijing Method:211 female students were investigated with Dieting Status Measurement, Eating Disorder Symptom Questionnaire (EDSQ), Drive for Thinness and Body Dissatisfaction of EDI, Experience of Shame Scale and Sex Role Inventory Result:Female college students showed more serious tendency of dieting than those had been found in middle or high school girls Ten students of our subjects met the criteria of eating disorder not otherwise specified by EDSQ The body mass index (BMI) and drive for thinness could predict on dieting behavior There was no significant difference between the scores on dieting and scores of sex role, while there were substantial differences existing in Experience of Shame Scale and its subscales among subjects with different type of sex role
3.Mathematical model and applicable prescription of ankle-foot orthosis and its early application in analysis of hemiplegic gait of stroke patients
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2008;12(22):4389-4392
With the development of the Multi-Rigid-Body system dynamics theory and computer technology, computer aided design and manufacturing of orthosis have already matured, mathematical mechanical model of human body and orthosis can be established using this new technology, and simulation calculation can be used to determine the orthosis prescription, predict the efficacy and effectiveness of rehabilitation. Early application of ankle-foot orthosis plays an important role in restoration of brain function in stroke patients, resumption of hemiplegic gait and abnormal gait correction. In clinical orthosis prescription, establishment of corresponding mathematical model and speculation of ankle-foot function changes, as well as the effect and mechanism of resumption of brain function in post-stroke patients, have a positive impact on the analysts of hemiplegic gait, orthosis design and gait resumption.
4.Prognostic value of first documented rhythms in patients with in-hospital cardiac arrest
Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2017;26(2):202-205
Objective To evaluate the prognostic value of the first documented rhythm in patients with in-hospital cardiac arrest. Methods The clinical data of 62 in-hospital cardiac arrest patients collected from May 2011 to April 2016 were reviewed.Multiple regression analysis was performed for determination of the factors relevant to ROSC.The patients were divided into defibrillative rhythm group [ventricular fibrillation (VF) /ventricular tachycardia (VT)] and non-defibrillative rhythm group [pulseless electrical activity (PEA) /asystole] according to the first documented rhythm after cardiac arrest. The differences in rate of restoration of spontaneous circulation, number of survival at hospital discharge and those discharged with favorable neurological outcome were compared between groups. Results Logistic regression analysis showed that non-defibrillative rhythm was related to low rate of ROSC.Rate of ROSC (x2 =6.90,P =0.01),number of survival at hospital discharge (x2 =10.49,P =0.00) and those discharged with favorable neurological outcome (x2 =14.70,P =0.00) were higher in the defibrillative rhythm group, while there was no difference in outcomes between the VF and VT groups. There was no difference in consequence found between the PEA and asystole groups. Conclusion Rate of restoration of spontaneous circulation, number of survival at hospital discharge and those discharged with favorable neurological consequence were higher with defibrillative initial rhythm.
5.18F-FDG PET imaging in primary adrenal lymphoma
Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine 2011;31(4):237-240
Objective To evaluate 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging in primary adrenal lymphoma (PAL). Methods Three male patients with clinically diagnosed PAL, aged 59 to 77 years old, were examined by18F-FDG PET/CT before histopathologic examination. The SUVmax ratio of tumor to liver (T/L)was calculated on 18F-FDG PET images. All patients underwent R-CHOP ( rituximab-cyclophosphamide,doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) chemotherapy regimens. One patient had serial follow-up 18F-FDG PET/CT post therapy. Results The final diagnosis of all 3 cases was bilateral diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The pathologic results of bone marrow biopsy were negative. Case 1 was in disease remission based on four times of follow-up 18F-FDG PET/CT. The patient's clinical follow-up was also negative and he was currently alive for more than 19 months. Case 2 was of late stage and suffered from adrenal insufficiency. He died 6 months after the diagnosis. Case 3 (the eldest patient) was treated with partial excision followed by the chemotherapy. He died of lung infection 12 months after treatment. Conclusion 18 F-FDG PET/CT may be of important value for maximizing patient management and survival for patients with PAL, a rare and highly malignant disease.
8.Rehabilitating treatment of chronic pelvic inflammation by integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2002;8(4):247-248
ObjectiveTo observe the effect of integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy on pelvic inflammation. Methods40 patients of chronic pelvic inflammation were as the group of integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy and received Chinese herbal medicine treatment (by taken orally, clysis and hot compress), acupuncture, mental state therapy etc. Other 36 cases were as the control group and only received Chinese herbal medicine treatment by taken orally. Then effects of two groups were compared. ResultsIt shows that the group of integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy got obviously better results than the control group (P<0.01). ConclusionsThe integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy is more effective on chronic pelvic inflammation.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(12):-
Objective To explore the feasibility of gallbladder mucosal ablation by hysteroscopic rollerball electrocoagulation after cholecystostomy. Methods Under epidural or general anesthesia combined with local anesthesia,20 patients were examined and treated with hysteroscopy after cholecystostomy. After inserting a Storz endoscope, the epithelium of the proximal cystic duct and the mucosa of the gallbladder were ablated with the roller-ball and roller-barrel electrodes respectively. The electrocoagulation power was set at 60-70 W with the roller-barrel excursion rate between 10-15 mm/s,which makes the inner wall of the cyst homogenously brown-grey.Results The mean endoscopic operation time was 35 minutes(range: 25-55).Among the patients, the gallbladder lumen was completely obliterated within one month in 12 patients, and within 3 months in 5;3 patients developed retention cysts. Conclusion Endoscopic electrocoagulation of the cholecystic mucosa is feasible for obliteration of the gallbladder.
