[Objective]To use urodynamic method to evaluate "free sacro-capsule"pre-operation and post-operation effect, also evaluate bladder and urethral function.[Method]Twenty children were included in this study.[Result]All children had none damage after operation. The PVR and DLPP of post-operative group are significantly decreased. The BC and MCC of post-operation group was significantly higher than pre-operation group(P
3.Clinical and imaging features of primary lateral sclerosis
Journal of Clinical Neurology 2001;0(05):-
Objective To explore the clinical and imaging features of primary lateral sclerosis(PLS).Methods The clinical and imaging data of 3 patients with PLS were analysed. Results 3 patients included 2 females and 1 male. The onset of the disease was insidious. The initial symptoms included rigidity and weakness of right upper limb(case 1),rigidity and weakness of legs(case 2),and pseudobulbar palsy(case 3). As the disease progressed slowly, the patients presented with spastic paralysis of four extremities, reduced muscle strength(3 to 4 degree),clasp-knife like of muscular tension, hyperactivity of tendon reflexes, ankle clonus and presence of Babinski sign.In T2-weighted images of the brain MRI,the abnormal high signals were symmetrically situated in the motor cortex, the posterior limbs of internal capsules, cerebral peduncles and basilar part of pons.1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1HMRS) showed decreases of N-acetylasartate(NAA) and the ratio of N-acetylaspartate/Creatine(NAA/Cr) in the focal regions. Conclusion PLS presents with characteristic features of clinical symptoms, signs and abnormal changes of MRI.In addition,1HMRS may be helpful in diagnosis of this disease.

Objective To investigate the expression of aquaporin-3 (AQP3) in tongue tissues of rats with experimental severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) and regulating effects of emodin. Methods Rat models with SAP were established by injecting 5% sodium taurocholate retrogradely into gallbladder and pancreas. SD male rats were randomly divided into sham-operation group, model group, and emodin group. After model establishment, rats in the emodin group received gavage with emodin 20 mg/kg each day, while rats in the model group and sham-operation group received gavage with normal saline. The mental state, thick greasy tongue fur and mortality of rats were observed every day after model establishment, and 5 days later, protein and genetic expression of AQP3 were detected by Western blot and RT-PCR. Results Compared with the model group, the mortality and the thick greasy tongue fur significantly decreased, the protein and genetic expression of AQP3 significantly decreased in the emodin group (P<0.05). On the 5th day, 11 rats in the model group survived, and 5 rats had thick greasy tongue fur. Compared with the sham-operation group, the protein and genetic expression of AQP3 in the model group were higher (P<0.05). Conclusion Emodin can improve the severity of SAP and decrease the incidence of thick greasy tongue fur significantly by reducing the protein and genetic expression of AQP3.

Objective To investigate the inhibitive effect of antisense VEGF165 cDNA on growth and angiogensis of human neuroblastoma in nude mouse models. Methods Three kinds of SH-SY5Y cells which had been stably transfected by sense VEGF165 cDNA,antisense VEGF165 cDNA and empty vector respectively, were inoculated subcutaneously to nude mice. The size of subcutaneous tumors was measured, and the morphology of tumor tissue was observed by microscope. The microvessel density(MVD)in tumor mass was analyzed by CD31 immunohistochemistry staining.Apoptotic cells were detected by the electron microscope. Results The growth of tumor mass, which was inoculated with antisense VEGF,significantly decreased in nude mice compared with empty vector group(P
