Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(01):-
To evaluate the internal quality of prepared pieces of Radix Sanguisorbae combinatively, the characteristics comparision, content determination of aqueous extract and tannins, and coagulation experiment of 10 prepared pieces of it on the market have been carried out. Based on these studies, it is the best to use the crude one in compound Chinese medicines. But its original property must be retained if it is baked into charcoal for use. The quality standards of Radix Sanguisorbae and its processed product into charcoal were also described.
2.Influence of exercise training and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor on blood pressure, aortic compliance and cardiovascular tissue in spontaneously hypertensive rats
Chinese Journal of cardiovascular Rehabilitation Medicine 2012;21(5):456-462
Objective: To explore influence of exercise training and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (perindopril) on blood pressure, aortic compliance and cardiovascular tissue structure in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). Methods: A total of 38 SHR aged seven weeks were divided into control group (C group, n=9), exercise group (Exe group, n=9), perindopril group (Per group, n=10) and perindopril + exercise group (Per+Exe group, n=10). SHRs were observed for eight weeks, and tail-cuff method was used to measure systolic blood pressure(SBP)once a week. When rats were 15 weeks old, regression line(once linear function)was obtained by single regression analyzing the relation between blood pressure and pulse wave velocity(PWV). The b of this once linear function was used as index of aortic compliance(there was negative relationship between b and aortic compliance). The left ventricular mass (LVM)/body weight(BW)was used to evaluate ventricular thickening, and aortic weight (AO)/ BW was regard as index of vascular thickening. Results: Compared with C group, SBP of Exe group significantly decreased on 12 weeks old (P<0.01) and 13 weeks old (P<0.05), but decrease of SBP was no significant on 14 weeks old(P>0.05). SBP of Per group and Per+ Exe group on eight weeks old immediately decreased to level of seven weeks old (P<0.0001),but there was no significant difference between the two group(P>0.05). On 15 weeks old, the LVM/BW [(2.19±0.36) mg/g, (2.16±0.32) mg/g ] and AO/BW [(0.20±0.01) mg/g, (0.19±0.01) mg/g] of Per group and Per+ Exe group significantly decreased compared with C group [(2.95±0.58) mg/g, (0.26±0.01) mg/g], P<0.05 all, but there was no significant difference in these indexes between Per group and Per+ Exe group and between C group and Exe group(P>0.05 both). The b (index of aortic compliance)were [(C group :(21.2±1.2), Exe group:(20.5±1.4), Per group:(14.8±1.6),Per+Exe group:(15.0±1.3)] respectively, there was no significant difference between Per group and Per+ Exe group and between C group and Exe group(P>0.05 both). Conclusion: The exercise training of eight weeks possesses certain lowering blood pressure tendency, but no significant influence yet for aortic compliance and cardiovascular tissue structure in spontaneously hypertensive rats.

Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) is a common disease in males, which is characterized by persistent discomfort or pain in the pelvic region. As currently used drug therapies fail to produce satisfactory results, it is an urgent task to find new and effective methods for the treatment of CP/CPPS. In recent years, many reports are seen on the extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) for CP/CPPS. ESWT can significantly improve the symptoms of pelvic pain and urination disorders in CPPS patients, and its therapeutic effect is attributed to the improvement of angiogenesis and block of pain nerves.

Pulse-activating injection has the functions of supplementing qi and nourishing yin, and recovering pulse from a collapse state. It is applied in hypotension caused by serious infection or hypovolemia extensively. Pulse-activating injection can be also used to treat hypotension caused by tracheal intubation with good effects. Appropriate application according to state of illness is very important, such as controlling infection and supplementing blood-volume, etc. When applied in cardia insufficiency, vasodilating agent should be used together to regulate dropping rate.

Aim To investigate the changes of Na~+,K~+-ATPase activity and ? isoforms in rat neurons suffered from global ischemia. Methods The BCAL rat was induced by bilateral carotid artery ligation. The contents of H_2O,Na~+ and K~+ in brain tissue were detected. The method of spectrophotometry was applied to measure the activities of Na~+,K~+-ATPase.With immunohistochemical assay, the expression of the Na~+,K~+-ATPase ?_1,?_2,or ?_3 isoform was detected in neurons of rat hippocampus and cortex following ischemia. Results In the BCAL rats, the contents of H_2O and Na~+ were increased while the content of K~+ and the activity of Na~+,K~+-ATPase were decreased. The ?_1,?_2 or ?_3 isoform of Na~+,K~+-ATPase distributed in a tissue-specific fashion in neurons of hippocampus and cortex,in which ?_1 and ?_3 were abundant and ?_3 was more than ?_1,but ?_2 was much less.In BCAL rat,?_1 and ?_3 isoforms were significantly decreased in hippocampus and cortex neurons. Conclusion These results suggest that the changes of Na~+,K~+-ATPase ?_1 and ?_3 isoforms may be involved in the global cerebral ischemia

Objective:To investigate the pediatricians' needs in the contents of continuing medical education (CME), and the influencing factors of participating in CME, so as to provide references for improving their vocational ability. Methods:Questionnaire survey was carried out for the pediatricians from county-level medical institutions in the nine provinces of China. The questionnaire contents included: basic information, CME contents needs, and influencing factors of participating in CME. SPSS 22.0 was used for chi-square test. Results:A total of 465 questionnaires was recovered, among which 463 were qualified, with a pass rate of 99.6%. Research showed that ① In terms of competency training needs, pediatricians had higher training demand for ability of diagnosis and treatment of children's diseases, pediatrics basic skills and skills related to children's health care, etc. Pediatricians with junior or intermediate title had higher training demand for ability of self-learning and access to learning resources ( P < 0.01); and pediatricians with senior title had higher training demand for teaching ability ( P < 0.05). ② In terms of pediatrics specialty content training needs, pediatricians had higher demand for neonatology, infectious, respiratory, critical medicine, developmental behavior and digestion in order. ③ Regarding the influencing factors of CME, too few opportunities to participate in training, too busy to have time to participate, and defects in curriculum arrangement were the main factors affecting the CME participation of pediatricians. Conclusion:Pediatricians with different professional title had different training needs for CME contents. Lack of CME resources, contradiction between work and study, and curriculum arrangement deficiencies might be the main influencing factors affecting the CME participation of pediatricians working at county-level medical institutions.
