Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2009;29(9):814-815
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of jaw thrust device in the upper airway obstruction. Methods Thirty-five ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients aged 18-64 yr with body mass index < 30 kg/m~2 undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia were included in this study. The anesthesia face mask was placed and held tightly by 4 straps of JTD and connected to the anesthesia machine. Anesthesia was induced with midazolam, propefol, fentanyl and atracurium. When muscle relaxation was achieved, tracheal intubation was not performed. The airway obstruction was assessed by airway peak pressure and stridor score (breathing sounds detected by auscultation over the trachea). And then tracheal intubation was performed, and the patients were mechanically ventilated. Results There was no significant difference in airway pressure and stridor scores between JTD and jaw thrust maneuver. Conclusion JTD can effectively lift the jaw and improve the upper airway obstruction.

A total of 120 medical students were surveyed to investigate the current status of communication between medical students and old patients and the awareness of medical laws. The questionnaire shows many students don't have enough knowledge of communication skills and medical laws. Furthermore, the most important reason of the medical disputes is the lack of communication between doctors and patients so the cultivation of communication skills and legal knowledge should be strengthened.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2015;50(7):854-860
The aim of this study is to evaluate anti-tumor activities and mechanism of a novel kinase inhibitor ZLJ213 which targeted Aurora A and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) in vitro and in vivo against human colon cancer. Results showed that ZLJ213 inhibited cell proliferation and induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis of HCT1 16 and SW48 cell lines. In HCT116-derived xenograft, ZLJ213 dosed at 100 mg · kg(-1) inhibited tumor growth by 73.24%. The IC50 of ZLJ213 on the expression of p-Aurora A was 0.258 µmol · L(-1) analyzed by ELISA. Under the concentration of 0.08 µmol · L(-1), ZLJ213 could inhibit the activities of Aurora A, Histone H3 and VEGFR of HCT116 and SW48 cell lines. Simultaneously, ZLJ213 induced activation of Caspase 3 and PARP cleavage. Above data suggested that ZLJ213 had the ability to inhibit cell proliferation and induce cell apoptosis both in vitro and in vivo in colon cancer, and down-regulate the expression of p-Aurora A and p-VEGFR. ZLJ213 might be a potential therapeutic agent against colon cancer.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2018;32(4):337-337
Because of the rapidly rhythm of modern society, fast food and take-out become the main dining methods for most of young people, while the outside foods always have few types of foods and nutrition is not complete. Nutrient imbalances may cause many diseases such as gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, and cancer. In this environment, health products have emerged. At present, there are a wide variety of health care products at home and abroad, which are broadly divided into three categories:traditional vitamins, emerging nutrient products, and extracts of natural plant active ingredients. In the early 1970s,the sales of health products in the United States had reached 170 million dollars. At present,it has nearly 100 billion dollars, which is almost 1/3 of the total food sales, people's demand for health products is increasing rapidly. In recent years, Chinese medicine health products become more popular in western,in fact, Chinese medicine health products have a long history of application in China and have a good reputation in the folk. Obviously, Chinese medicine health products have great potential for development. So this article mainly compared the de-velopment and state of health products between China and west countries.Based on the development of health products in western countries, this article analyzes the development trend and prospects for the development of Chinese medicine health products. It is roughly divided into three parts. The first part introduces the development reasons and history of western health products development. The sec-ond part introduces the history of Chinese health products and the current situation of Chinese medi-cine health products. The third part guesses the development trend of Chinese medicine health prod-ucts and provides some development ideas. The purpose of this airticle is to provide reference and ideas for the future research and development of traditional Chinese medicine health products.

Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
The potential of Rhizobium sp. N613 to produce the exopolysaccharide (REPS) was studied in this paper. Using an orthogonal design in a flask-shaker culture system, the fermentation medium and conditions of synthesizing REPS were optimized. Based on these results, the fermentation kinetic parameters were obtained in the batch fermentation with a 10L fermentor. The REPS yield of 11.31g/L was achieved by metabolic regulation during 40 h fed-batch fermentation. Transplanted tumor models of sarcoma 180 in mice were used to evaluate the anti-tumor effect. The result of anti-tumor activities showed that inhibition rate was 53.40%, when dose of REPS was 5mg/kg. These results indicate that REPS has the following properties: the short duration of fermentation, the high yield, the low cost, the effective immunocompetence and thickening. Thus, REPS has the value of development and application.

Aim To investigate the influence of down-regulating adenosine A1 receptor and adenosine A2 A receptor gene expression on proliferation and activation of acetaldehyde-induced hepatic stellate cell-T6 cells through siRNA. Methods Alcoholic liver fibrosis in vitro model was constructed by inducing HSC-T6 cells with acetaldehyde. siRNA targeting A1R and A2AR were designed and synthesized according to its mRNA. The siRNA was transfected into rat HSC-T6 cells by li-posome LipofectamineTM 2000. HSC cell proliferation was measured by MTT. The mRNA levels of A1R, A2AR, α-SMA, Collagen I in the supernatant of the cell culture were measured by Quantitative Real-Time PCR. The protein levels of A1R, A2AR, α-SMA, Collagen I were measured by Western blot. Results A1 R and A2 AR siRNA effectively inhibited the cell proliferation, and they also significantly decreased the levels of A1R, A2AR,α-SMA, Collagen I, suggesting that A1 R and A2 AR might be potential target genes in the alcoholic liver fibrosis. Conclusions Silencing A1 R or A2 AR by RNAi can significantly inhibit the HSC proliferation, A1R and A2AR may be potential therapeutic target genes for alcoholic liver fibrosis.
