The pancreatic enzyme-II type collagenase digestion method was adopted for primary culture of osteoblasts, inoculation and passage. They were identified by alkaline phosphatase dye-liquor. N-butanol extract fractions from different processed products of Cibotium barometz were prepared. The above osteoblasts were jointly cultured with protocatechuic acid, protocatechuic aldehyde, kojic acid and the mixed control liquid of the above three substances, and their proliferation was detected by CCK-8. Various n-butanol extract fractions from different processed products of C. barometz showed a significant proliferative effect on osteoblasts in the order of the wined > the heated > the salted > the sand-heated and wined system > the alcohol-processed > the steamed > the crude. The q test showed no significant difference among sand-heated, alcohol-processed and steamed C. barometz, no significant difference between heated and salted C. barometz. Various control substances also showed a certain proliferative effect on osteoblasts in the order of the mixed control > protocatechuic aldehyde > protocatechuic acid > kojic acid. The q test showed no significant difference between protocatechuic aldehyde and protocatechuic acid. All of n-butanol extract fractions from different processed products of C. barometz showed a significant effect on osteoblast proliferation, of which wined C. barometz showed the best effect. All of phenolic compounds such as protocatechuic aldehyde, protocatechuic acid and kojic acid showed a significant proliferative effect on osteoblasts.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(3):411-413
Objective:
To explore the relationship between depressive symptoms, negative life events and resilience among primary and secondary school teachers, so as to provide a reference for mental health promotion in school teachers.
Methods:
During November to December 2022, a questionnaire survey was conducted using convenient cluster sampling method to select 11 332 in service teachers from 38 schools in 8 provinces (cities) including Beijing, Guangdong, Anhui, Hubei, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Liaoning, and Heilongjiang. The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 items, a self developed 21-item Adverse Life Events questionnaire, and a 10-item Conner-Davidson Resilience Scale were used to assess depressive symptoms, experiences of negative life events, and resilience levels of the teachers, respectively. The relationship between depressive symptoms, negative life events and psychological resilience were analyzed by multiple linear regression and stratified regression.
Results:
The detection rate of depressive symptoms among primary and secondary school teachers was 14.0%. Negative life events of primary and secondary school teachers were positively correlated with depressive symptoms ( r =0.35), while psychological resilience was negatively correlated with depressive symptoms ( r =-0.45) ( P <0.05). After adjusting for possible covariates including gender and marital status, negative life events were positively correlated with depressive symptoms ( β=0.22, P <0.01). Resilience played a moderating role in the association of negative life events with depressive symptoms among primary and secondary school teachers ( B=-0.15, P <0.01).
Conclusions
Negative life events experiences are associated with higher level of depressive symptoms among school teachers. However, resilience might mitigate the negative effects of negative life events on depressive symptoms, playing a protective role in teachers mental health.

OBJECTIVETo explore the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of refractory cytopenia of children (RCC) according to WHO classification, and discuss the relationship between the cytology reviewed by hematologists and histology reviewed by pathologists.
METHODSWe selected 50 non-severe aplastic anemia cases from 2007 - 2010 in our hospital and collected clinical data. Experienced hematologists and pathologists evaluated bone marrow biopsy and smear respectively.
RESULTSOf 50 cases, 23 were male and 27 female (M:F = 1:1.17), the median age at diagnosis was 9 years (ranged from 3 to 14 years). 5 patients had disagreement of diagnosis between hematologists and pathologists. In 3 cases hematologists diagnosed as aplastic anemia (AA) and pathologists as RCC, 2 cases vice versa. The final diagnoses of 50 patients reached consensus between hematologists and pathologists were AA 16 cases, RCC 34 cases including 8 refractory cytopenias with multilineage dysplasia (RCMD) cases. All 16 cases AA showed severe hypocellularity. Only 4 cases (25.00%) RCC showed severe hypocellularity, 19 cases (73.08%) RCC showed mild hypocellularity and 3 cases (11.54%) RCC were normal hypocellularity.
CONCLUSIONOur results suggests that RCC was not rare in China. The main feature of RCC was dysplasia because of absence of increased blast. RCC was easily confused with AA. The main points of differential were present dysplastic changes of megakaryocyte best appreciated by the hematologists and morphologists and abnormal location of hematopoietic easily observed by pathologists. Overall, cytology and histology were complementary in the investigation of RCC and AA, because of sometimes one might give information that not be given from the other.

Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics 2004;21(4):382-385
OBJECTIVETo explore the distribution of fibrinogen (FGB) B beta polymorphism in Chinese Han population and the association of the polymorphisms with the occurrence of atherosclerotic cerebral infarction (ACI).
METHODSThe B beta gene FGB -455G/A polymorphism was identified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) in 132 patients with ACI and 148 healthy controls matching on age and sex. Turbidimetric assays were performed to measure the plasma fibrinogen levels of all cases.
RESULTSThe plasma fibrinogen level in ACI group (3.42+/-0.52 g/L), was significantly higher than that in the controls (2.96+/-0.42g/L), P<0.001. The A allele was associated with the elevated plasma fibrinogen levels in both patients and controls. Among the A allele carriers, smokers had significantly higher plasma fibrinogen levels than did the non-smokers (P<0.05). The distribution of B beta gene FGB -455G/A polymorphism was in accordance with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (P>0.05). The A allelic frequency in ACI group (0.258) was significantly higher than that in the control group (0.152) (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the cases carrying A allele (GA+AA genotype) had 1.653 times the risk of ACI.
CONCLUSIONThe study demonstrates that A allele of the B beta gene FGB -455G/A polymorphism may be a susceptible predictor of the occurrence of ACI, particularly in smokers.

Objective To comprehensively evaluate the clinical efficacy of hemoperfusion (HP) combined with continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) on acute paraquat poisoning (APP).Methods Literatures of Chinese and English randomized controlled trials (RCTs), case control and cohort study on HP combined with CVVH in the treatment of APP from the PubMed, Embase, Wanfang, and CNKI up to November 2017 were enrolled (the subjects were > 16 years old). The obtained literatures were strictly screened and evaluated in quality, and data such as mortality, the life time of dead patients, inefficiency rate, incidence of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) were extracted. Meta-analysis was performed by RevMan 5.3. Results Twenty-one studies were included with 2222 subjects, among whom 976 subjects were in HP combined with CVVH group (experimental group) and 1246 subjects in HP group (control group). Compared with control group, the mortality in experimental group were significantly decreased [43.77% (362/827) vs. 55.26% (604/1093), odds ratio (OR) =0.68, 95% confidential interval (95%CI) = 0.56-0.82,P = 0.0001], the life time of death patients was significantly prolonged [mean difference (MD) = 4.63, 95%CI = 2.60-6.66,P < 0.00001], incidence of MODS [25.93% (70/270) vs. 55.36% (155/280),OR = 0.26, 95%CI = 0.14-0.49,P< 0.0001], and incidence of ARDS [30.37% (82/270) vs. 51.07%(143/280),OR = 0.42, 95%CI = 0.30-0.61,P < 0.00001], and inefficiency rate [8.72% (13/149) vs. 34.64% (53/153),OR=0.17, 95%CI = 0.09-0.34, P < 0.00001] were significantly reduced. Funnel chart showed that except the publication bias of mortality rate, there were less publication bias about other indicators among studies. Conclusion HP combined with CVVH can significantly reduce the mortality of patients with APP compared with HP alone on the whole, prolong the life time and reduce the occurrence of MODS and ARDS, thus improving the treatment efficiency.
