1.Research progress of aggressive B-cell lymphoma: reports from the 19th European Hematology Association annual congress
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2014;23(9):523-524
Aggressive B-cell lymphoma is characterized by malignant behaviour and rapid progression.Patients are prone to drug resistance or relapse of disease. The 19th European Hematology Association (EHA)annual congress explored several aspects about aggressive B-cell lymphoma.PET-CT examination provided new tools for the indication of prognosis. The elevated dose of rituximab improved the outcome of elderly male patients.Novel drugs or methods including bortezomib,ABT-199,combined targeted therapy and CNS prophylaxis have shown encouraging results in various clinical trials which provide new hope for patients with aggressive B-cell lymphoma.
2.Treatment strategies and clinical research progress of Hodgkin lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2014;23(10):581-582,585
Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) originates from the lymphoid hematopoietic tissues and has a good treatment outcome with relatively high cure rate.Early stage HL is curable with abbreviated chemotherapy plus involved-filed radiotherapy or chemotherapy alone. However, patients with refractory or relapsed disease still lack effective treatment. In recent years, with the application of risk stratified treatment, novel drugs such as brentuximad vedotin, and PET-CT evaluation, significant progress has been made in prognosis and treatment of HL

Objective To investigate the angiogenic effect of leptin on grainy fat transplantation. Methods Grainy fat was obtained from the Wistar rat subcutaneous tissue in the abdomen. It was then mixed with 0.9 % NS and 20 ng/ml leptin and transplanted in the head subcutaneously. The transplanted tissue was taken out after 10, 20 and 40 days and was stained with AKP histochemistry and actin immunohistochemistry. The microvessel density was measured by medical imagine analysis system. The data were analyzed with SPSS software. Results The values of microvessel density in leptin groups were 0.12 ?0.04?m 2/?m 2 after 10 days and (6.83?1.86)?10 -2 ?m 2/?m 2 after 20 days. This was obviously high as compared with (1.49?0.88)?10 -2 ?m 2/?m 2 and (4.32?2.11)?10 -2 ?m 2/?m 2 in saline groups in the same observing periods ( P

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2001;22(1):71-73
Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of cystic de compression (CD) operation autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease(APKD) based on clinical material, experience and related theory. Methods: Thirty-nine APKD received CD operation(unilateral 31 cases, bilateral 8 cas e s) in our hospital from 1985 to 1995. Four main parameters, cystic renal enlargi ng rate(CRER),lumbar pain recurring rate(LPRR),blood pressure elevating rate(B PER) and renal function abnormal rate(RFAR), were observed 3, 6, 12, 36 and 60 months after CD operation. And the changes were analyzed based on related theory . Results: The changes of 4 main parameters on 5 different time points post operation in unilateral 31 cases were:(1)CRER 19.4%,38.7%,61.3%,1 0 0% and 100%; (2)LPRR 12.9%,48.4%,71.0%,100% and 100%; (3)BPER 6.5%,22.6%,4 1.9%,71.0% and 96.8%;(4) RFAR 3.2%, 12.9%,22.6%,74.2% and 96.8% respectively. Conclusion: During a short period, CD operation can relieve th e lumbar pain, but it is not certain for improving CRER,BPER and RFAR. in the lo ng run, the therapeutic effect is not sure.

Objective To investigate celecoxib self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (CXB-SMEDDS) that was developed to increase the dissolution rate and oral bioavailability of celecoxib. Methods The formulation of CXB-SMEDDS was optimized by pseudo-ternary phase diagrams analysis. The appearance, morphology, particle size distribution and in vitro drug release behavior of CXB-SMEDDS were investigated after diluted by water. The bioavailability of CXB-SMEDDS was determined by oral administration to rats compared with CXB suspension. Results An optimized formulation was selected: Medium chain triglycerides as oil phase, Tween 20 as surfactant, Transcutol HP as cosurfactant. The ratio of oil phase, surfactant and cosurfactant was 2∶9∶9.Upon mixing with water, CXB-SMEDDS formed a clear and transparent microemulsion solution with homogeneous small spherical under transmission electron microscopy. For particle size of CXB-SMEDDS was found to be (57.6±14.2) nm.The in vitro dissolution test indicated a significant improvement in release characteristics of CXB.The AUC of CXB-SMEDDS and CXB suspension were (5.54±0.94) and (3.32±0.59) mg·L-1·h, respectively. The relative bioavailability was 166.9%.Conclusion The SMEDDS can significantly increase celecoxib dissolution in vitro and bioavailability in vivo.

Objective To study the application of the array comparative genomic hybridization (Array-CGH) for the detection of chromosomal disorders in newborns.Method The Array-CGH technique was used to analyze the whole genome of the patients who were suspected of chromosomal disease in neonatal ward of our hospital from January to December in 2014,and further verification in genomic unbalanced ectopia was carried out by FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization,FISH).Result Among 514 patients,104 were found carrying chromosomal abnormalities with a detection rate of 20.2%.The most common chromosomal disease is the Down syndrome syndrome (24 cases),followed by the chubby Willy and Angel syndrome(17 cases),while the Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome in 5 cases,Williams syndrome in 5 cases and the Criduchat syndrone in 5 cases. The results of FISH were consistent with Array-CGH.Conclusion The technique of Array-CGH can be used to scan the whole genome of children with unknown disease. As a high-throughput and rapid research method, this technique has important clinical significance in the screening of chromosomal diseases.

Objective To evaluate the possibility and efficiency of early lung cancer screening using low-dose spiral CT,and to investigate the effects of prognosis of lung cancer. Methods 3005 routine chests check-up were carried on the low-dose prospect research of the SHIMADZU 7800 TX spiral CT. According to the result by tracing and long-term CT follow-up based on the baseline screening, biopsy or surgical excisions were recommended in "malignant change" or enlarged nodules. Two doctors separately interpreted all the images blindly. Results 29.9 rate of nodules in all of cases were detected. Smoking group was 1.3 times incidence of non-smoking. A whole incidence of lung cancer was 1.2, including 2.9 in people at high risk of lung cancer and 0.9 in common people. The sensitivity and specificity of lung cancer screening using low-dose spiral CT were 82.9 and 88.8 respectively, and the diagnostic accuracy of lung cancer screening in diameter of nodules less than 10 mm was high than in ones more than 10 mm. Histologically, 33 non-small cell lung cancers (19 stageⅠ, 10 stageⅡand 4 stageⅢ), 2 small cell lung cancers and 1 scar carcinoma were proved based on baseline screening by biopsy or surgery. By the end of 2007, the average survival for clinical stageⅠlung cancer was more than 4 years, clinical stageⅡwas 2~3 years and clinical stageⅢ was 1~2 years. Conclusion Low-dose spiral CT is of high sensitive and specificity in detecting early lung cancer. Preliminary screening study indicates that low-dose spiral CT can greatly improve the likelihood of detection for early lung cancer and situation of survival.
