Corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) is a photochemotherapy for keratoconus, keratectasias and infectious keratitis.Corneal collagen fiber infiltrated with riboflavin, a photosensitizer which generates reactive oxygen species when activated by UVA at 370nm, was induced to form the crosslinks in corneal stroma.Corneal collagen cross-linking alone or combined with medicine therapy could be used to treat fungal keratitis, improve the cure rates, and reduce the complications and the demands of corneal transplantation surgery.The purpose of this paper is to review the basic principle, procedure, laboratory researches, clinical applications and the safety about this treatment.

Objective To understand the air microorganisms pollution and the community structure and distribution characteristics of outdoor airborne microbes in Hefei. Methods Airborne microbes were sampled by fallen plate method at 10 collection sites in the Hefei city. Results The results showed that the average concentration of the bacteria,fungi and total microbes in the outdoor environment were 5.04?104,3.75?103 and 5.41?104 cfu/m3 respectively and the fungi accounted for 6.92%of the total. The preliminary identification showed that the dominant bacteria mainly were Micrococcus, Bacillus, Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus and the average percentage were 37.3%, 21.0%, 10.3% and 9.5% respectively. Of the five fungi the dominant ones were Aspergillum, Penicillium, Mucor and Rhizopu. The average percentage were 42.0%,36.0%,4.4% and 4.2% respectively. Conclusion The outdoor air of Hefei has been polluted by airborne microbes. The distribution of the airborne microbes has the characteristics of time and space.It is affected not only by the environment and pollution,but also by such factors as human activities,animals and plants.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of 99mTc-dimercaptosuccinate acid(DMSA) renal cortical scintigraphy for the identification of distinguishing between upper urinary infection(UUTI) and lower upper urinary infection(LUTI).Methods Two hundred and seventy-five children (111 males,164 females)ranging from 44 days to 15 years old,presented with urinary tract infection underwent 99mTc-DMSA renal cortical scintigraphy.The images were scored as normal (indicating LUTI) and abnormal (indicating acute pyelonephritis or renal scarring).Results Of 275 children with UTI,95 cases had normal images diagnosed as LUTI,41 males,54 females;and 180 cases had abnormal images,70 males,110 females.One hundred and seventy-four cases were diagnosed as acute pyelonephritis,6 cases were diagnosed as renal cortical scars,56 cases were single renal involved and 118 cases were both renal involved,and 22 cases repeatedly underwent renal cortical scanning after therapy.Sixteen of 18 cases with acute pyelonephritis completely recovered normal or obviously ameliorated after 0.5 to 2.0 years,2 cases did not show any improvement after 0.5 to 1.5 years,4 cases with renal scarring,and showed little change on repeated images after 1.0 to 1.5 years.Conclusions The 99mTc-DMSA renal scintigraphy is very useful in differentiating the children with urinary tract infection.It also can be used to determine the extension,degree and nature of UUTI,and might play an important role in the treatment and follow-up observation in children with UUTI.

Objective To explore the clinical outcomes of nutritional support in children with high nutritional risk. Methods Improved screening tool for the assessment of malnutrition in pediatrics (STAMP) was used to make nutritional risk score in 1296 cases of consecutively hospitalized patients, and to analysis the effects of nutrition support in clinical outcome. Results In these 1296 hospitalized patients, 379 cases had STAMP score?≥?4 and the detection rate of high nutritional risk was 29 . 24 %. A total of 304 cases were included for further analysis, including 85 cases ( 27 . 96 %) of nutritional support, among whom there were 37 cases of parenteral nutrition (PN), 23 cases of enteral nutrition (EN), 25 cases of combined application of EN and PN. JMJD5 belongs to the protein family of JMJD and is closely related to tumorigenesis. JMJD5 plays a carcinogenic role in some tumors, such as oral cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer and atypical meningiomas, JMJD5 promotes the proliferation, migration and invasion of cancer cells. However, JMJD5 not only plays a carcinogenic role in some tumors, but also plays an anticancer role. For example, in bladder cancer, JMJD5 inhibits the metastasis of bladder cancer; in liver cancer, on the one hand JMJD5 promotes the replication of hepatitis B virus (HBV), and on the other hand it inhibits the growth of cancer cells; in lung cancer, on the one hand JNJD5 promotes the proliferation of cancer cells, and on the other hand it inhibits the metastasis of cancer cells by promoting the stabilization of microtubules. This article will focus on the mechanisms of JMJD5 in tumors, in order to provide a new target for tumor prevention and treatment.

Visfatin was recently reported as an adipokine and was found to exert insulin-mimicking effects.The results showed that the expression of visfatin parallelled with obesity and insulin resistance in long term high fat chow-fed rats.The expression of visfatin mRNA was decreased and the insulin resistance improved after rennin-angiotensin system was blocked.Visfatin may play an important role in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance.

Objective To explore the relationship among just-world belief,optimism and life satisfaction in colleges.Methods According to convenience sampling principle,370 colleges were selected and assessed with the just world scale for college students (JWS),satisfaction with life scale (SWLS) and the life orientation test-revised (LOT-R) ;and data were analyzed using correlation analysis and regression analysis.Results ①The scores of just-world belief,optimism and life satisfaction were (3.22 ± 0.46),(3.50 ± 0.57),and (3.70 ± 1.21),all of which were higher than middle points.②The scores of just-world belief were positive correlated with the scores of optimism and life satisfaction (r =0.44,0.36,P ＜ 0.01),and the scores of optimism also were positive correlated with life satisfaction(r =0.38,P ＜ 0.01).③ The just-world belief and optimism can positively predict life satisfaction directly(β =0.24,0.29,P ＜ 0.01),and the two factors had interaction(β=0.09,P＜ 0.05).Among optimistic students,life satisfaction of low just-world belief ones were much worse than that of high just world belief ones.However,among pessimistic students,the differences of life satisfaction between high and low just-world belief ones became little.Conclusion Just-world belief of colleges has significant predictive effect on life satisfaction,and the two factors had interaction.
