Objective To explore an effective evaluation method for students' self-and peer-assess-ment. Methods The students of 6 groups participating in extracurricular teaching activities were selected as research subject. Traditional method (final score = mean score of group/2 + teacher's score/2) and mean difference method [final score=teacher's score-(mean difference of group-mean difference of all groups)] were used to calculate final score of each group, and effect of two methods were compared. Results Scores of most groups were higher than the teacher's scores, and high scores were given by group 3 in self- and peer-assessment. The final score of all groups were higher than teacher's scores in traditional method. Compared with teacher's scores, final scores increased significantly in group 1, 4, 5 below mean difference, final score decreased significantly in group 2, 3 above mean difference, and final score did not differ in group 6 equal to mean difference in mean difference method. Conclusion The mean difference method can reflect the effect of student's self- and peer-assessment, and guide student to make objective and accurate evaluation. It is a more reasonable and scientific evaluation method for self-and peer-assessment.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2021;43(2):194-198
The method of acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training in the treatment of shoulder hand syndrome after stroke is reliablet, quick, with simple operation and less adverse reactions. Among them, characteristic acupuncture could focus on the targeted points with obvious effect than ordinary acupuncture, and the combination with rehabilitation training could greatly improve the curative effect. However, there still exist some problems in the current research, such as the difficulty of conducting blind clinical trials of acupuncture therapy; the lack of follow-up data in the evaluation of curative effect, the uncertainty of long-term curative effect; the small sample size of clinical research, etc., so multi-centered and large sample RCT research are still needed.

Objective To investigate the deficit of extracellular-signal regulated kinase (ERK)1/2 activation in the different age of Alzheimer's disease (AD)-like animal model and the protective effect of 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxy stilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside(TSG), which is the main component of Polygonum multiflorum, on ERK activation. Methods A generally accepted animal model of AD - PDAPPV717I transgenic (Tg) mouse was observed from 4 to 16 months old. Tg mice were randomly divided into 3 model groups(4, 10 and 16 months old mice)and TSG treated (at doses 120 and 240 μmol/kg/d) groups. TSG was administered to some Tg mice with an age range 4-10 months. In untreated 10 months old Tg mice, the TSG was administrated to those falling in the age range 10-16 months. For the control group we adopted the same age and background C57BL/6J mice. The ERK1/2 expression and phosphorylation were detected by Western blotting. Results In the 4-month-old PDAPPV717I Tg mice, phosphorylation of ERK1/2 decreased significantly in hippocampus and cortex compared with age matched control. In the 10-month-old Tg mice, decrease of ERK1/2 activation was aggravated in cortex but was less in hippocampus. The treatment of TSG at the doses of 120 and 240 μmol/kg for 6 months (from the age of 4 to 10 months) significantly up-regulated ERK1/2 activation in Tg mice. In the 16-month-old Tg mice, over-activation of ERK1/2 occurred in both hippocampus and cortex. The transgenic mice treated by TSG for 6 months (from the age of 10 months to 16 months) showed significant inhibition of over-activation of ERK1/2. Expression of total ERK1/2 showed no difference among control, Tg model and TSG treated groups. Conclusion PDAPPV717I transgenic mice with an age range from 4 to 16 months revealed the time-dependent deficit of ERK1/2 activation. TSG can bring the down or over activation of ERK1/2 into normal. Because ERK1/2 activation plays the crucial role in cellular signal transduction and learning-memory ability, TSG may have beneficial potential to the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases like AD.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(8):544-547
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the efficacy of combined medical treatment on auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder and the effect of related factors on the prognosis.
METHOD:
Eleven cases (22 ears) diagnosed as auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder using multiple criteria including pure tone auditory threshold, impedance audiometry, acoustic reflexes, distortion products otoacoustic emission (DPOAE) and auditory brainstem response (ABR) were subjected to combined medical treatment . Eleven auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder patients diagnosed during the corresponding period but refused treatment were selected as control group. The change of pure tone auditory threshold and speech discrimination score after treatment or follow-up were evaluated for both 2 groups, and the relationship between the patients' gender, age, accompanying symptoms and curative effect were also analyzed. Data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 statistical software using pared-sample t-test, independent-sample test and Pearson's chi-square test.
RESULT:
The effective rate of combined medical therapy was 59.09% (13/22) in the therapy group. PTA levels before and after-treatment were (53.92 +/- 18.86) dB HL and (47.44 +/- 14.98) dB HL respectively in 22 ears with the combined medical therapy, the improvement of which showed statistically significance (t = 5.20, P < 0.05). No obvious hearing change was noted in the 11 patients who refused therapy (P > 0.05). Speech discrimination score before and after-treatment were (29.20 +/- 25.80)% and (41.60 +/- 22.90)% respectively for the treatment group. The average improvement of speech discrimination score was (12.40 +/- 13.80)% with statistically significant difference (t = 4.02, P < 0.05). Patients accompanied with tinnitus had relatively poorer effect compared with individuals without tinnitus (t = -3.85, P < 0.05). Age is negatively correlated with the prognosis (r = -6.72, P < 0.05). Gender had no effect on the prognosis (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSION
The combined medical therapy with glucocorticoids helps improving the pure tone auditory threshold and speech discrimination score of auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder. In light of our findings we support the combined medical therapy as an option for patients with auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder.

Shao-yuan WANG ; Jin-lan ZHANG ; Dan ZHANG ; Xiu-qi BAO ; Hua SUN
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2015;50(12):1551-1558
Sphingolipids, especially ceramide and S1P, are structural components of biological membranes and bioactive molecules which participate in diverse cellular activities such as cell division, differentiation, gene expression and apoptosis. Emerging evidence demonstrates the role of sphingolipids in hepatocellular death, which contributes to the progression of several liver diseases including ischaemia-reperfusion liver injury, steatohepatitis or hepatocarcinogenesis. Furthermore, some data indicate that the accumulation of some sphingolipids contributes to the hepatic dysfunctions. Hence, understanding of sphingolipid may open up a novel therapeutic avenue to liver diseases. This review focuses on the progress in the sphingolipid metabolic pathway with a focus on hepatic diseases and drugs targeting the sphingolipid pathway.
