Objective To evaluate the investigation outcome of eliminating iodine deficiency disorders(IDD)in Ya'an city of Sichuan province,and to master the current situation of IDD in the whole city.Methods In 2009,according toCounties'Assessment Guideline in Sichuan for Implementing the Measure to Eliminate Iodine Deficiency Disorders,assessments were conducted.At county level,composite score was given to collected data of the eight counties(districts)and monitoring data of household iodized salt were statistically analyzed.A township (town)was randomly selected by east,west,south,north and center locations,respectively.One primary school was randomly selected in each selected township(town),eighty children aged 8 to 10 in each selected school were checked of their thyroid by palpation(WS 276-2007)and urinary iodine level of20 children among them was measured by As3+_Ce4+ catalytic spectrophotometry(WS/T 107-2006).Thirty fifth-grade students and 10 housewives lived around school were asked to take a questionnaire survey.Results Average score of the 8 counties(districts)was 89.96,ranged from 85.42 to 92.90.The coverage rate of iodized salt of household was 100.00%(2328/2328),rate of qualified iodized salt was 97.98%(2281/2328).and consumption rate of qualified iodized salt reached 97.98%(2281/2328).The goiter rate of children aged 8-10 was 0.91%(33/3620),median urinary iodine was 235.85μg/L,and 1.50%(12/800)of child's urinary iodine was less than 50μg/L.The rate of passing a knowledge questionnaire survey of the fifth-grade students and women was 92.33%(1 131/1225)and 9413%(397/421),respectively.Conclusions Ya'an city in Sichuan province has reached the goal of eliminating iodine deficiency.disorders,but there is a coexist trend of IDD and iodine excess.They should pay attention to the daily consumption of iodized salt in the future;sustained elimination of IDD can be reached only by iodine supplementation scientifically.

Aim To observe the neuroprotective effect of different doses of propofol on ischemic fetal rat brain.Methods Eighteen healthy pregnant SD rats were randomly allocated into the following six groups with three rats in each.Group S: sham operation group, Group IR: ischemia/reperfusion group, Group P1~P3: different doses of propofol groups, Group B: bicuculline group.In group S and group IR, 1 ml saline solution was administered via caudal vein.In group P1~P3, 10, 30, 50 mg·kg-1 of propofol was administered via caudal vein respectively.In group B, when 50 mg·kg-1 propfol was administered via caudal vein, 5 mg·kg-1 bicuculline was injected intraperitoneally at the same time.Bilateral uterine ovarian arteries were clamped for 11 mins to make intrauterine distress model of the fetal rats.The brains of fetal rats were removed after 3 days of reperfusion.Brain sections(5 μm thick) were mounted and stained with Hematoxylin and eosin(HE).The profile of the hippocampus CA1 was evaluated under a light microscope and neuronal Lesion-index(LI) was calculated.MDA content of fetal rat brain was detected by thiobarbituric acid reaction method to determine the lipid peroxidation degree of brain.Results LI was (7.2±0.9) and MDA was (3.86±0.20) μmol·g-1 in group S.LI was 71.9±2.8 and the content of MDA was (9.10±0.45) μmol·g-1 in group IR, which increased significantly compared with those in group S(P<0.01).LI was (40.8±2.6), (21.4±1.4), (20.1±1.3) and the content of MDA was (7.32±0.41), (5.65±0.27), (5.44±0.28) μmol·g-1 in propofol groups, which decreased significantly compared with those in group IR(P<0.05).LI and the content of MDA was (51.2±2.3), (7.54±0.31) μmol·g-1 in group B,respectively, reversing partly the neuroprotevtive effect of propofl.Conclusion Propofol could protect the neurons in hippocampus CA1 region of fetal rat against intrauterine distress by reducing the concentration of MDA in the brain.

Objective To investigate the clinical features and therapeutic strategies of one patient with meningioangiomatosis ( MA ) complicated with intracranial aneurysm formation. Methods The clinical data of one patient with aneurysm-formed MA admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery,the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was analyzed retrospectively. The patient received emergency craniotomy and middle cerebral artery aneurysm clipping and evacuation of intracranial hematoma. The meningeal tissue around the aneurysm was taken for pathological examination. Results Microscopy revealed meningeal thickening in the patient with MA accompanied with intracranial aneurysm. Spindle cells around the meninges and perivascular tissue of cortical hyperplasia formed an annular and fence-like structure. The results of immunohistochemistry showed the hyperplastic vessels and perivascular fibroblast like spindle cells diffuse vimentin-positive;the hyperplastic vascular endothelial cells CD99,CD34 were positive;and the residual glial cells in the lesions showed glial fibrillary acidic protein positive. Conclusion MA complicated with intracranial aneurysm is rare. The vascular condition is poor. The shape of aneurysm is irregular,and the risk of bleeding is high. Excise the involved meningeal tissue and clip the aneurysm with microsurgical operation is the resonable treatment.

Objective To investigate the effect of routine ultrasound examination and interventional treatment of absolute alcohol in different types of liver cancer.Methods Thirty cases of liver cancer patients who were treated in the 3rd People' s Hospital of Yangquan from May 2010 to May 2014 were selected as ours subjects.They were performed ultrasound exam.The ultrasound characteristic was recorded.Patients were divided into intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) group (11 cases),hepatocellular cholangiocarcinom (HCC) group (14cases) and mixed cholangiocarcinoma group(5 cases) based on pathology results.Nine HCC postoperative recurrence patients and 7 ICC postoperative recurrence patients were treated with absolute alcohol and the clinical effect was observed.Results There were significant differences in the three groups in terms of gender,boundary definition and tumor location (x2 =8.01,6.16,7.32 ; P ＜ 0.05).While the distribution of ultrasound echo intensity was not statistically significant(x =3.44,P ＞ 0.05).The effective rate of interventional treatment of absolute alcohol in HCC patients was 88.89％,and 42.86％ in ICC group,and the difference was statistically significant (x2 =3.88,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The ultrasound characteristics of different pathological liver cancer are different.Ethanol interventional therapy on HCC patients is significantly better than the effect of ICC patients,suggesting that ICC postoperative recurrence patients can be treated combined with other methods to help improve the effect.

Objective To investigate the effects of levocarnitine on pregnancy outcome of the patients with obstructive azoospermia treated with intracytoplasmic sperm injection ( ICSI ) . Methods A total of 74 patients with obstructive azoospermatism treated with ICSI randomly divided into 2 groups:treatment group( n=38) , taking levocarnitine before treatment with ICSI 1 g twice a day for three months;control group( n=36) , taking vitamine E before treatment with ICSI 0.1 g twice a day time for three months.tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), reactive oxygen species(ROS) level, epididymal sperm motility and morphology in epididymal fluid of the two groups were determined before and after treatments. The number of matured oocytes, fertilization, and embryos of adequate quality, the rate of fertilization and embryo of adequate quality, and pregnancy rates after PESA-ICSI were compared between the two groups. Results TNF-α in epididymal fluid before and after the treatment was (5.39±2.28)and(4.05±2.14)ng.mL-1 in the treatment group(P<0.05), and(4.97±2.13)and(4.83±2.35)ng.mL-1 in the control group.ROS in epididymal fluid before and after the treatment was(62.72±8.51),(56.28±8.70)RLU.s-1(P<0.05)in the treatment group( P<0. 05 ) , and ( 62. 61 ± 7. 55 ) and ( 61. 05 ± 6. 77 ) RLU . s-1 in the control group. After treatment with levocarnitine, epididymal sperm motility was significantly increased(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in all the indexes in the control group before and after the treatment(P>0.05).After PESA-ICSI, the number and percentage of high quality embryo in the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Levocarnitine can down-regulate epididymal TNF-α and ROS in patients with obstructive azoospermatism, thereby improve the environment of the epididymis and elevate the quality of sperm and ICSI pregnancy outcome.

Cordyceps militaris is of significant economic value in medical care and food exploitation because of its many physiological activities. This paper reviews(1) the taxonomic position of its anamorph,(2) interesting culture ways,(3) strain degeneration and genetic variability,and(4) research progress in bioactive compounds and pharmacological functions.

This study aims to establish an HPLC method for simultaneous determination of gastrodin and eight nucleosides and nucleobases components in Gastrodia elata. The separation was carried out on an Agilent Zorbax Bonus-RP (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm) column with a methanol-(0.04% acetic acid) water solution gradient elution program at a flow rate of 1.0 mL x min(-1). The column temperature was 36 degrees C, and the detection wavelength was 254 nm. The volume of injection was 20 μL. The nine components including gastrodin, cytosine, uracil, cytosine, adenine, thymine, uridine, guanosine and adenosine were well separated. The calibration curve was well linear in the range of 2.04-262.00 mg x L(-1), 0.20-24.67 mg x L(-1), 0.18-23.75 mg x L(-1), 0.20-25.83 mg x L(-1), 0.20-26.67 mg x L(-1), 0.16-20.00 mg x L(-1), 0.22-27.71 mg x L(-1), 0.20-24.29 mg x L(-1), 0.24-30.58 mg x L(-1), respectively, and the correlation coefficient was between 0.998 9-0.999 9. The average recovery of gastrodin and eight nucleosides and nucleobases were 96.4%-99.6%, RSD less than 2.7% (n = 6). The contents of gastrodin in all the seven Tibet cultured Gastrodia elata samples were over 2 mg x g(-1). Further, all samples contain higher contents of adenosine, guanosine, uridine and cytidine compared to low contents of cytosine, uracil, adenine and thymine. The established method is accurate, reproducible and suitable for the determination of gastrodin and eight nucleosides and nucleobases comppnents in Gastrodia elata.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the expression of hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channel 4 (HCN4) and connexin43 (Cx43) in the sinoatrial node of electric shock death. METHODS: As experimental group, 34 cases of electric shock death who had definite current mark evidence were selected from pathology department of Xuzhou Medical College from 2010 to 2013. As the control group, 20 cases of fatal severe craniocerebral injury in traffic accidents were chosen. The expressions of HCN4 and Cx43 in the sinoatrial node were observed by immunohistochemical technology. RESULTS: HCN4 positive cells expressed in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the sinoatrial node. Cx43 positive cells expressed in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of T cells and myocardial cells. The expression of HCN4 was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05) and the expression of Cx43 was significantly lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION The changes of HCN4 and Cx43 expressions in the sinoatrial node illustrate electric shock death might be related to the abnormalities of cardiac electrophysiology and conduction.

Objective - （ ）- （ ） To observe the effects of renin angiotensin Ang aldosterone system RAAS in workers exposed to Methods - - occupational noise. Forty five workers with suspected occupational noise induced deafness were selected as noise ， ， exposure group using convenient sampling method. According to their tinnitus symptom noise exposure intensity and work age - ， ， they were divided into no tinnitus and tinnitus subgroups <90 dB and ≥90 dB subgroups work years <10 years and ≥10 years subgroups. Another 45 workers with no occupational noise exposure history were selected as control group. The levels of plasma （ ）， ， ， renin activity PRA AngⅠ AngⅡ and aldosterone of the two groups were detected and the aldosterone to renin activity Results ratio was calculated. The diastolic blood pressure of the noise exposure group was higher than that of the control group ［（ ）vs（ ） ，P ］ ， 80±7 76±8 mmHg <0.05 . However there was no significant difference in systolic blood pressure between the two （P ） （ ： groups >0.05 . The level of plasma AngⅡ in the noise exposure group was higher than that in the control group median vs ，P ） （ P ） 100.98 65.43 μg/L <0.05 . There was no statistical significance in other indexes between the two groups all >0.05 . The （ ： plasma AngⅡ level in < 90 dB subgroup in the noise exposure group was higher than that of the control group median 123.16 vs ，P ） 65.43 μg/L <0.05 . There was no statistical significance in other indexes among the two subgroups of tinnitus symptom or （ P ） work age in the noise exposure group and the control group all >0.05 . There were no significant differences in the abnormal ， （ P ） rates of PRA AngⅡ and aldosterone in plasma between the noise exposure group and the control group all >0.05 . Conclusion Occupational noise exposure may affect RAAS and lead to increased plasma AngⅡ levels in the workers. - Tinnitus and work age may not affect RAAS in occupational noise exposure workers.
