2.Application of He-Ne laser combined with TDP irradiation in the treatment of herpes zoster ophthalmicus

AIM: To evaluate the effect of He-Ne laser combined with TDP irradiation in the treatment of herpes zoster ophthalmicus.METHODS: Totally 22 patients (22 eyes) with herpes zoster ophthalmicus were treated by He-Ne laser irradiation combined with TDP (Group A).Another 22 patients (22 eyes) with herpes zoster ophthalmicus (Group B) were treated by medication.The duration of the disease, the incidence of complications, and the time of pain relief were compared between the two groups.RESULTS: The cure rate of Group A was 91%, that of Group B was 73%, there was no significant difference between the two groups (x2=1.375, P>0.05).The average cure time of Group A was 8±2.22d, Group B was 12±1.88d, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t=5.22, P<0.05).The complication rate of Group A was 18%, Group B was 59%, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (x2=6.86, P<0.05).The average pain relief time of Group A was 5±1.23d, Group B was 10±1.34d, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t=11.17, P<0.05).CONCLUSION: He-Ne laser combined with TDP irradiation can shorten the treatment time of herpes zoster ophthalmicus, shorten the course of disease, reduce the incidence of complications, relieve pain, with no significant effect on the cure rate of herpes zoster ophthalmicus.
3.Effect of intraoperative leg massage on deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity in patients of vascular surgery department

Objective To explore the effect of leg massage during operation on deep venous thrombosis(DVT)in patients of vascular surgery department.Methods Ninety-four DVT patients were randomized into experiment group and control group according to the computer-generated numbers ,46 cases in the latter and 48 in the former.The routine care measures were applied in the control group, while intraoperative leg massage was used in the observation group.The two groups were compared in terms of curative effect and the incidence of DVT.Result The incidences of DVT in the experiment group and the control one were 2.08%(1/48)and 15.22%(7/46)respectively, showing significant difference between them(P<0.05).Conclusion The intraoperative lag massage are significant in the reduction of DVT incidences after operation.
4.THE EFFECT OF LIGUSTRAZINE ON NEUROGENESIS IN CORTEX AFTER FOCAL CEREBRAL ISCHEMIA IN RATS

Objective To explore the effect of Ligustrazine on neurogenesis in cortex after focal cerebral ischemia in rats. Methods Focal cerebral ischemia was induced by left middle cerebral arteryocclusion with asuture. Two hours later, injection of Ligustrazine (80 mg/kg, 1 time/d) was performed peritoneally. Four hours after the ischemia,5-bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) (50 mg/kg, 1 time/d) was injected peritoneally. At 7 d, 14 d and 21 d after ischemia,BrdU positive cells in the cortex were observed by immunohistochemical staining. Results In ischemic model group, at 7 day, sparsely-distributed BrdU positive cells were observed in the Ⅱ - Ⅵ layers of the ipsilateral cortex, with a band-like distribution in ischemic penumbra. With the prolongation of ischemia, the number of BrdU positive cells increased.In Ligustrazine group, BrdU positive cells were also observed in the Ⅱ - Ⅵ layers of the cortex, with an intense distribution in ischemic penumbra. The numbers of BrdU positive cells at 7 d, 14 d and 21 d were more than those in ischemic model group respectively. Conclusion Ligustrazine increases the proliferated cells in cortex after focal cerebral ischemia in rats. The results suggest that it may be useful for promoting self-repair after ischemia.

Objective:To study the effects of pioglitazone on atherosclerosis on ApoE-/-mice,and to investigate the roles of adiponectin and its receptors.Methods:ApoE-/-mice were fed with high-fat chow for the induction of atherosclerosis and were divided into three subgroups:placebo(n=10),low-dose[10 mg/(kg?d),n=10] pioglitazone therapy,and high-dose[20 mg/(kg?d),n=10] pioglitazone therapy.C57BL/6J wild type mice(n=9) were used as control.Aortic atherosclerosis and intima-media thickness(intima-media thickness,IMT) of abdominal aorta were monitored,and plasma adiponectin was also measured.Expression levels of the adiponectin receptor 1(AdipoR1)and adiponectin receptor 2(AdipoR2) in vessels were analyzed(RT-PCR).Results:(1) Aortic atherosclerotic lesions were observed in ApoE-/-mice but not in wild type mice.Interestingly,these lesions were significantly prevented by high-dose pioglitazone therapy.Compared with wild type mice,ApoE-/-mice had increased IMT of abdominal aorta [(0.290?0.063 vs 0.178?0.012) cm,P
6.Long Backbone Fracture Caused by Blunt Force: 99 Cases Analysis.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the main point of long backbone fracture caused by blunt force in forensic clinical identification and to provide a reference for the inspection and appraisal practices of such injury.
METHODS:
Ninety-nine cases of adult long backbone fractures were collected from January 2006 to December 2013 in Gutian County of Fujian Province. According to the terms of fracture location, mode of injury, type, the data were summarized.
RESULTS:
In the 99 cases, there were 36 cases caused by hitting, kicking, and falling and 63 cases caused by vehicle collision. The majority of the former was ulna, and those of the latter were tibia and fibula. The types of fracture were transverse one, short oblique one, long oblique one, and spiral one.
CONCLUSION
Different types of long backbone fracture, not only causing stress load of fractures as well as structural differences related to each segment.

7.Clinical effect of Saccharomyces boulardii powder combined with azithromycin sequential therapy in treatment of children with diarrhea secondary to Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical effect of Saccharomyces boulardii powder combined with azithromycin sequential therapy in the treatment of children with diarrhea secondary to Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.
METHODSA total of 88 children with diarrhea secondary to Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia between June 2015 and March 2017 were divided into control group and study group using a random number table, with 44 children in each group. The children in the control group were given routine treatment combined with azithromycin sequential therapy, and those in the study group were given oral Saccharomyces boulardii powder in addition to the treatment in the control group until the end of azithromycin sequential therapy. After the treatment ended, the two groups were compared in terms of time to improvement of clinical symptoms, length of hospital stay, clinical outcome, defecation frequency before and after treatment, condition of intestinal dysbacteriosis, and incidence of adverse events.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, the study group had significantly shorter time to improvement of clinical symptoms and length of hospital stay (P<0.05). The study group had a significantly higher response rate than the control group (P<0.05). On days 3 and 5 of treatment, the study group had a significant reduction in defecation frequency compared with the control group (P<0.05). The study group had a significantly lower rate of intestinal dysbacteriosis than the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONSIn the treatment of children with diarrhea secondary to Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia, Saccharomyces boulardii powder combined with azithromycin sequential therapy can improve clinical symptoms, shorten the length of hospital stay, reduce defecation frequency and the incidence of intestinal dysbacteriosis, and improve clinical outcomes, and does not increase the risk of adverse events.

In this study, we explored the mechanism of Huganning tablet (HGNP) in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) based on network pharmacology and computer-aided drug design. Firstly, the potential ingredients and targets of HGNP were identified from TCMSP database, Swiss Target Prediction database, Chinese pharmacopoeia (2015) and literatures, and then the targets of HGNP intersected with NAFLD disease targets that obtained in GeneCards database to acquired potential targets. The bioconductor bioinformatics package of R software was used for gene ontology (GO) enrichment and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis. The network of “potential ingredient-key target-pathway” was formed in Cytoscape software to study the interactions between potential ingredients of HGNP, key targets, pathways and NAFLD. Based on the results of network pharmacology, the molecular docking analysis of the key targets and potential active ingredients in HGNP tablets with top degree in the network was conducted using Discovery Studio 2020 software, followed by molecular dynamics simulations, binding free energy calculation, drug-likeness properties analysis and ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity) properties prediction.

OBJECTIVETo observe antisepsis, anti-swelling, and therapeutic effects of Fuxiye (FXY), a Chinese medical lotion for external wash in treating vaginitis model rats.
METHODSThe cervicitis rat model was induced by agar plate diffusion, ear auricle swelling induced by dimethylbenzene, and chemical stimulus. The in vitro antibiotic actions of FXY were observed. Besides, its effects on the swelling and inflammation in model rats were also observed.
RESULTSFXY at 25 mg/mL could completely inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, pyogenic Streptococcus, and Streptococcus agalactiae. FXY at 50 mg/mL could completely inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. It obviously restrained dimethylbenzene induced ear auricle swelling. It significantly alleviated cervicitis induced by chemical stiumli.
CONCLUSIONFXY showed better effects on antisepsis, anti-inflammation, and treating cervicitis.

10.Total knee arthroplasty for the treatment of hemophilic arthropathy of the knee.

OBJECTIVETo study the efficacy of total knee anhmplasty (TKA) for the treatment of hemophilic knee arthropathy, and to explore the operative characteristics, the selection of prothesis, the effectiveness and safety of clotting factor replacement treatment.
METHODSFrom January 2008 to June 2010, 10 patients (12 knees)with hemophilic anhropathv underwent TKA. The average age was 33.6 years old (ranged, 17 to 49 years). There was 8 cases of type A hemophilia and 2 cases of type B hemophilia. According to Arnold and Hilgartner classification: 7 knees were IV degree and 5 knees were V degree. The level of VIII factor for replacement treatment was more than 80% on operation day, more than 60% within 3 days after operation, more than 40% from the third day to the second week after operation. Added prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) to improve the level of IX factor, and the level of IX factor for replacement treatment was more than 40% on operation day, more than 30% within 3 days after operation, more than 20% from the third day to the second week after operation. Functional training was mainly based on continuous passive motion (CPM) device after surgery. Clinical assessment included hospital for special surgery knee score (HSS) and the individual scores (including pain, function, activity, muscle strength, flexion deformity and stability).
RESULTSTen patients (12 knees) were followed-up, and the average duration was 11 months (ranged, 6 to 24 months). The average preoperative HSS score was (44.9 +/- 12.5) (ranged, 29 to 62 scores), whereas the average postoperative HSS score was (84.4 +/- 10.2) (ranged 72 to 96 scores) (P < 0.01). The preoperative individual score including pain, function, activity, muscle strength flexion deformity and stability were significantly improved compared with pre-operation, the differences between them were statistically significant (P < 0.01 ). TKA had the distinct role in relieving pain from preoperative (8.5 +/- 4.1) to postoperative (24.5 +/- 4.4).
CONCLUSIONUnder the strict perioperative coagulation factor replacement therapy, TKA is a safe and an effective treatment for hemophmc anhmpathy of knee joint, whicht can effectively relieve pain and improve joint function.
