Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(01):-
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Sanzi Yangqing Decoction (Decoction of three kinds of seeds) for mammary cystic hyperplasia. Methods Totally 113 patients with mammary cystic hyperplastia were randomized into a treatment group (58 cases) which was prescribed Sanzi Yangqing Decoction and a control group (55 cases) which was given Ruhe Sanjie Tablet (Tablet for dissolving mammary masses). Both were treated for 3 courses. Before and after treatment the clinical symptoms and signs, hormones in serum of both groups, and the indices of hemodynamics of the treatment group were observed. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 89.66%, while that of the control group was 65.45%, there was significant difference (P

Stressors can be classified as controllable and uncontrollable events.Self-choice behavior plays an important role in the "problem-solution" process of coping when individual faces controllable stressors. As to the uncontrollable stressors there are 2 different coping modes: transformation and compensation coping. This paper reviews the research achievements in the relationship between stress and self-choice behavior.

Objective To investigate the possible protective effect of neurotropin on the corresponding spinal cord motoneuron after sciatic nerve injury early in rats. Methods 108 male Sprague Dawley rats were divided randomly into Groups A,B and C with 36 animals in each group, and all animals were cut both side of sciatic nerve, instantly make the operation of end-to-end anastomose of epineurium for abscised sciatic nerve.Group A was control group.Group B was treated with neurotropin and Group C was treated with normal saline after operation. The rats were sacrificed on 1st d,4th d,9th d,14th d,21st d and 28th d after operation. The corresponding spinal cord segments(L4~L6)were gotten to make Bcl-2 and Bax immunohistochemical staining and TUNEL staining. Results The values of Bcl-2/Bax on 9th d,14th d and 21st d after operation of Group B were different from that of Group A and Group C.The number of positive cells stained by TUNEL staining on 9th d was significantly different among Group A,Group B and Group C(v<0.05).The expression of positive TUNEL staining cells reached a peak on 14th d after operation, the number of Group B was less than that of Group A and Group C.Conclusion After instantly make the operation of end-to-end anastomose of epineurium for abscised sciatic nerve, neurotropin can protect the spinal cord motoneurons to avoid apoptosis excessively in some extent.

Objective To design an experiment for method-comparison and bias estimation of multi tests on multi instruments. Methods According to the procedure described by the NCCLS approved guideline EP9-A and improving the method of sample collection,we took 8 patient mixing samples each day to analyze all comparison tests on 11 auto-chemistry analyzer within following 5 days. The duplicates were assessed within the same run.The coefficient of correlation and average bias% were calculated, and the system errors at medical decided levels were assessed. Results Taking ALT as an example, the coefficients of correlation were between 0.994-1.000,and the average bias% were between-0.460%-4.927%,SE at 40U/L was-1.510-1.834 and SE at 300 U/L was-3.101-9.188.Conclusion In all tests that joined the comparison among the different instruments,28 tests were acceptable,2 tests were acceptable after modifying the coefficients, and AMY and LIP were not acceptable.

Objective To learn the psychological needs of the hospital staff in terms of their life, medical care and psychological health. Methods 2910 hospital staff were interviewed with questionnaires and the outcomes analyzed with x2 test and descriptive analysis. Results 96.9%of the surveyed found themselves in need of psychological counseling; considerable consulting needs of the staff; most of them turn to friends to complain instead of their leaders. Conclusion The psychological counseling should be enhanced to build effective communication channels and ease stress of the staff.

Objective To evaluate the effect of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) on hypercapnic encephalopathy syndrome (HES) induced by acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). Methods An extensive search of related literature from the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library, CNKI and Wanfang databases up to January 2015 was performed. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and case control studies regarding comparison of the effect of NIV and conventional mechanical ventilation (CMV) on the HES were collected. Critical appraisal skills program (CASP) was adopted to assess the quality of the studies. Data including mortality, trachea intubation rate, duration of mechanical ventilation and complication rate were collected, and Meta-analysis was performed by RevMan 5.3. Results Finally, 6 studies were included with 225 subjects, among whom 112 were in NIV group and 113 in CMV group, and the average Kelly-Matthay score was 3. Compared with CMV group, the mortality [20.5% (23/112) vs. 32.7% (37/113), risk ratio (RR) = 0.63, 95% confidential interval (95%CI) = 0.40-0.98, P = 0.04], intubation rate [35.7% (40/112) vs. 100.0% (113/113), RR = 0.38, 95%CI = 0.26-0.55, P < 0.000 01], incidence of ventilation related complications [26.2% (21/80) vs. 50.6% (42/83), RR = 0.52, 95%CI = 0.34-0.79, P = 0.002] in NIV group were significantly decreased, and the duration of mechanical ventilation was significantly shortened [days: 7.1 vs. 16.2, standard mean difference (SMD) = -0.93, 95%CI = -1.39 to -0.46, P < 0.000 1]. Conclusion NIV could significantly lower the mortality rate, intubation rate, and complications in the treatment of HES induced by AECOPD under close monitoring.

Objective:To investigate the inhibitory effect of Dickkopf-1 (Dkk1) on vasculogenic mimicry (VM) formation and the relevant mechanism. Methods:CD34-PAS dual staining and immunohistochemical staining were used to detect and analyze the re-lationship between VM existence and Dkk1 expression in 217 human colon cancer tissue samples;three dimensional (3D) culture was used to detect the influence of Dkk1 on tube structure formation and on VE-cadherin expression;a subcutaneous mouse xenograft mod-el was made to further validate the inhibitory role of Dkk1 on VM formation in vivo. Results:VM-positive samples indicated a lower expression of Dkk1(P<0.05);colon cancer cells with Dkk1 overexpression exhibited a decreased ability to form tube-like structure and a decreased expression of VE-cadherin;Dkk1 inhibited the VM-formation abilities of human colorectal carcinoma cell line xenograft tu-mor tissue. Conclusion:Dkk1 inhibits the VM formation of colon cancer.
