1.Efficacy of lamivudine and thymosin alpha-1 combination therapy in treatment of HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B:a meta-analysis
Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2014;30(7):639-643
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of lamivudine and thymosin alpha-1 combination therapy in the treatment of HBeAg-posi-tive chronic hepatitis B (CHB)by meta-analysis.Methods Randomized controlled trials (RCTs)of lamivudine and thymosin alpha-1 combination therapy in treatment of HBeAg-positive CHB (follow-up for at least 24 weeks),from January 1998 to date, were identified by searching Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMBASE,EBSCO,CNKI,Wanfang Data, and CQVIP.Lamivudine monotherapy RCTs were searched for in the same way as control tests.Efficacy was measured by odds ratio.Meta-analysis was carried out with RevMan 5 .2 soft-ware.Results Nine RCTs involving 600 patients were included, with 320 cases in the combination therapy group and 280 in the control group. At the end of follow-up,the combination therapy group had significantly higher serum ALT recovery rate,HBV -DNA negative conversion rate,HBeAg negative conversion rate, and HBeAg seroconversion rate than the control group (P<0.01 for all),with pooled odds ratios (95% confidence intervals)of 4.84 (3.28,7.16),2.09 (1.45,3.01),5.32 (3.35,8.46),and 6.22 (3.78,10.25), respectively. Conclusion Lamivudine and thymosin alpha-1 combination therapy is more likely to achieve sustained response rate than lamivudine monotherapy for HBeAg-positive CHB.More RCTs of high quality and large scale are required to verify this conclusion.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2010;26(14):53-54
Objective To discuss the effect of community nursing intervention on medication compliance and control rates of blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. Methods Community nursing intervention was conducted to 73 community patients with essential hypertension. The patients' medication compliance was compared before and after intervention and their control of blood pressure was also observed. Results The difference was statistically significant in the comparison of patients' knowledge of antihypertension and the proper use of antihypertensive drugs before and after intervention. Blood pressure control rate was 80.82%.Conclusions Community nursing intervention can improve patients' medication compliance and effectively control the blood pressure of the patients.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2001;17(2):110-112
Objective To find out effective ways of assessing doctors' scientific research performance via an index system so as to conduct objective evaluation. Methods An index system for assessing doctors' scientific research performance established with the Delphian method and the subjective assessment by experts were used to evaluate and mark doctors' scientific research performance and a comparison was then made between the two assessment methods. Results The results of the two assessment methods were basically the same , with the assessment via the index system being superior to the subjective assessment by experts. Conclusion The assessment of doctors'scientific research performance via the index system is a satisfactory way of assessment. It is also a dynamic system needing further perfection and development.
5.The Influence of Lonone and Ergosterol on the Growth and the Yield of CoQ_(10) in Yeast
Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
The influence of ?-ionone and ergosterol on the growth and the yield of CoQ_ 10 in yeast was investigated. The results indicated that ?-ionone had the stimulative effect on the biosynthesis of CoQ_ 10 in yeast, and 28.3% increase of the CoQ_ 10 content in the cell was observed when the concentration of ?-ionone in the medium was 0.208?10~ -3 mol/L. Little ergosterol also had the same effect with ?-ionone, while 31.3% increase of the CoQ_ 10 content in the cell was observed when the concentration of ergosterol in the medium was 0.15?10~ -4 mol/L. However, the biosynthesis of CoQ_ 10 was inhibited when the concentration of ergosterol was 0.60?10~ -4 mol/L. Addition of ?-ionone and ergosterol to the medium resulted in 36.1% increase over the control. The results showed that the cell could effectively accumulate more CoQ_ 10 with the addition of ?-ionone and ergosterol to the medium.

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of compound Decumbent Corydalis Rhizome (DCR) in treating patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Totally 79 patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected from out-patient and inpatient departments of West China Hospital and randomly divided into the test group and the control group. The test group (n = 41) was given Compound DCR with the dosage of 1.8 g · d(-1), while the control group (n = 38) was administered with diclofenac sodium with the dosage of 75 mg · d(-1). After 12 weeks of treatment, the total efficacy rates based on patients/physicians evaluation for experimental and control groups were 68.29%, 63.41% and 71.05%, 63.16%, respectively, without significant difference between the two groups. Both of the two groups showed significant improvements in the main efficacy indexes (pain on walking 20 m) and minor indexes (tenderness on palpation, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities OA index (WOMAC) and Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36 ), but without significant difference in efficacy between them. The incidence of related adverse events was 24.39% in the test group and 47.37% in the control group, respectively, with significant differences between the two groups (P < 0.05). In the controlled study, compound DCR is as efficient as diclofenac sodium but more tolerable, with a good clinical application prospect.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
Aim To investigate the effect and mechanism of valdecoxib on the apoptosis of human esophageal cancer cells. Methods Flow cytometry was used to observe the effect of valdecoxib on apoptosis and the cell cycle distribution of Eca109 cells.Transmission electron microscope was further used to detect the cell apoptosis. The content of LDH was examined using LDH kit.The expressions of p-p38MAPK,Fas and FasL protein were detected using flow cytometry. Results Valdecoxib of 25~400 ?mol?L~(-1) significantly induced the apoptosis of Eca109 cell line, and the rate of apoptosis was increased from(2.95?0.83)% to(48.46?0.73)%,50~400 ?mol?L~(-1) valdecoxib also decreased the proliferation index and the proportion of cells in the S phase, increased the proportion of cells in the G_0/G_1 phase, but had no effect on the proportion of cells in the G_2/M phase.Compared with those in Eca109 cells cultured in the medium with solvent, the expression of p-p38MAPK,Fas and FasL was higher in the Eca109 cells exposed to valdecoxib in a dose-dependent manner in 72 h.Conclusion Valdecoxib can induce apoptosis of Eca109 cell line partly by up-regulating the expression of p-p38MAPK/Fas/FasL.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2015;(11):1656-1663
Due to its exquisite sensitivity, excellent molecular specificity and reduced photobleaching, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy has wide potential applications in the fields of food and drug analysis, environmental monitoring and biological detection. However, SERS is only a qualitative or semi-quantitative detection technique at the present stage, and has not yet been widely recognized as a routine quantitative technique. This review discusses the pros and cons of the quantitative surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopic techniques developed so far in the literature, and looks forward to the future trend in this field.
