1.The Damage Effect of Phospholipase A_2 on Cultured Pulmonary Artery Endo thelial Cells

The damage effect of phospholipase A2 on cultured calf pulmonary artery endothelial cells and the protective effect of chloroquine were investigated. The results showed: the cellular membrane permeability was increased by phospholipase A2( PLA2),the numbers and the extent of lanthanum particles in cytoplasm were positive correlation with increased concentration and prolonged reacting time of PLA2 and lactate dehydrogenase release rate, angiotensin-converting enzyme activity and malondialde-hyde content were increased significantly compared with normal control group, PLA2+chloroquine group and chloroquine group. Chloroquine could protect the cells damaged by PLA2.
2.Testing interaction between two know proteins by ras recruitment system

Objective:Introduce yeast two-hybrid system RRS screening system through interaction between two known proteins,Pak and Chp,in order to apply this system on research of the interaction between other proteins.Methods:Select the yeast strain cdc25-2 for single clone that displays low reversion rate,and prepare the competences of the yeast by LiAc.Only transform the plasmid Met425-Myc-Ras-Pak into the yeast to eliminate its self-activation.Co-transform the plasmids Met425-Myc-Ras-Pak and Ura-M-ChpAc into the yeast,set up some controls,observe their growth on different mediums at 36℃.Results:The cdc25-2 cells which are used to prepare competences have no reversion.After the transformation of the plasmid Met425-Myc-Ras-Pak into the yeast,there is neither toxicity nor self-activation.Only when the two plasmids which can express the two corresponding known proteins are co-transformed,and only on the medium suitable for their expression,the cdc25-2 cells can grow at 36℃.Conclusion:(1)The RRS screening system verifies the interaction between Pak and Chp correctly.So it can be used for research of the interaction between other known proteins.(2)We can construct a bait of an known protein,then use the RRS screening system to look for the interacted proteins.
3.On Theory of Male External Genitals

The origin of the word "male external genitals(Zongjin)" is coming from Inner Canon of Huangdi(Huangdi Nei Jing).This article synthesized the theories of past dynasties' doctors.It made a systemic statement on "male external genitals" in terms of the concept,physiological functions and the contacting effect with correlated meridian and vessels for the first time,so as to enrich the theory of visceral manifestations in TCM.Meanwhile,it also pointed out the significance and specific application of the theory that treating impotence based on "male external genitals",thereby provided a new view of treating "male external genitals" in TCM clinic.
4.Grasping the Three Key Propositions in the Developing Direction of Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory

How to grasp the developing direction of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) theory is the kernel of the TCM subject.In studying the theory of TCM,the three key propositions,how to keep the self main body,how to show the theoretic value and how to perform the durative innovation,must be answered.For keeping the main body,it must be clarified in unscrambling the origin,and be hold in the changeable reform,and be stand out under the scientific background.For showing the theoretic value of TCM,its academic value must be embodied in life(sciences),its leading value must be displayed during the subject development,and its guiding value must be emerged in clinical practice.For performing the durative theoretic innovation,it must be extended during inheriting the classical theory,and be improved in clinical practice,and be created in interdisciplinary crossing.Only in this way,would the basic theory of TCM acquire a breakthrough.
5.Research on diagnosis standard of phlegm-dampness constitution of TCM

Classification is a foundational problem in TCM Constitution Theory,phlegm-dampness constitution is one kind of elementary constitutions type.To normalize and deepdeepen research on classification of Constitution,we generalize the characteristics and establish diagnosis standard of phlegm-dampness constitutions.In our study,we examined gene expression profiles of peripheral blood cells by using Affymetrix GeneChip Human Genome U133A,revealed special expressed genes of phlegm-dampness constitutions.
6.Biomechanical property of tension band plate in the treatment of unstable pelvic fracture

BACKGROUND: Tension band steel in unstable pelvic fractures can achieve the desired effect, but has not yet been confirmed by biomechanics.OBJECTIVE: To observe treatment effect and biomechanical property of the three kinds of tension band steel in different fixed positions of unstable pelvic fracture.METHODS: Nine adult antiseptic specimen pelvises were made into unstable pelvic injury models after completing normal pelvis detection. Depending on the position of the tension band fixation plate, these models were divided into group A, group B and group C. Group A: Plate fixation in bilateral posterior superior iliac spine, parallel to the plate ends with the pubis; group B: fixation on posterior superior iliac spine, both ends of the plate pointing forward; group C: plate below the posterior superior iliac spine, front top at both ends of the plate. Efficacy was compared among the three groups. The pelvic specimen was placed on the biomechanical testing machine. Axial stiffness and torsional stiffness were measured. Biomechanical properties of tension band plate in the treatment of unstable pelvic fracture were analyzed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The axial stiffness of the pelvic ring of the same specimens measuring three times was not significantly different (P > 0.05). The pelvic ring axial stiffness in order: group A > group C > group B (P < 0.05).(2) Torsional stiffness of the same specimens measuring three times was not significantly different (P > 0.05). Torsional stiffness was significantly lower in group A than in groups B and C (P < 0.05). (3) Vertical displacement of the same specimens measuring three times was not significantly different (P > 0.05). Vertical displacement in order: group B >group C > group A (P < 0.05). (4) The fixation on posterior superior iliac spine with both ends of the plate pointing forward obtained better biomechanical properties, and could be given priority by combining with pelvic fracture type.
7.Clinical Study onTong Guan Li QiaoNeedling Method for Post-stroke Deglutition Disorders

ObjectiveTo observe the effect ofTong Guan Li Qiao(opening orifices) needling method on the swallowing function in patients with post-stroke deglutition disorders.MethodNinety-one patients were randomized into an acupuncture group of 46 cases and a control group of 45 cases. The acupuncture group was intervened byTong Guan Li Qiaoneedling method, while the control group was by rehabilitation training. The Standard Swallowing Assessment (SSA), Modified Barthel Index (MBI), Swallowing-related Quality of Life (SWAL-QOL) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) were adopted for evaluation before and after intervention.ResultAfter intervention, the SSA, MBI, SWAL-QOL, and HAMD scores were significantly improved in the two groups (P<0.05); there were significant differences in comparing the scores between the two groups after intervention (P<0.05), and the improvements in the acupuncture group were more significant than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Tong Guan Li Qiaoneedling method can produce a more significant efficacy than conventional rehabilitation, by more effectively improving the swallowing function, activities of daily life, quality of life, and depression state in patients with post-stroke deglutition disorders.
8.Clinical pathologic analysis of the eat-scratch diseases

Objiective To explore clinical pathologic characteristics, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the cat-scratch diseases. Methods 2 patients with cat-scratch diseases were analyzed by histological observation and Warthin-Starry argentaffine fibers stain. Results One patient had a clearly medical history bitten finger by a roam a-bout cat. Histologically, the nodular was composed of epithelioid cells, multinuclear giant cells with a central necrot-ic. Conclusions The common etiology of the cat-scratch disease were Bartonella hensellae. These lesions greagly re-semble those of lymphogranuloma venereum and non-caseous tuberculosis. The diagnosis and differential diagnosis was based on the history, a specific cutaneous test and Warthin-Starry argentaffine fibers stain.
10.Impact and Mechanism of Ambient Particulate Matter on Cardiovascular Diseases

A series of epidemiological and experimental studies demonstrate a positive and significant association between exposure to particulate matter and cardiovascular-related incidence and hospitalization. Several possible mechanisms have been proposed,including vascular dysfunction,atherogenesis,arrhythmogenesis and oxidative stress and inflammation. So far the studies on the effect of particulate matter derived from dust events on cardiovascular diseases are limited,and different conclusions are drawn. The advances in recent studies were reviewed in this paper,and suggestions for further research were made.
