Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2011;18(2):165-167
Objective To investigate the curative effect of telbivudine versus lamivudine in chronic hepatic B with a therapy of 48 weeks. Methods 94 patients who were diagnosed chronic hepatitis B were investigated. The therapeutic group and the control group (n = 47) were respectively assigned to receive 600mg of telbivudine and 100mg of lamivudine in 48 weeks. Copies of HBV-DNA、serum markers、alanine transarninase(ALT) level were tested before therapy and 4 weeks、12 weeks、24 weeks、48 weeks in the the course of treatment. The HBV-DNA conversion、HBeAg conversion and the normal rate of the ALT were compared. Results The copies of HBV-DNA decreased as the treatment progressing, especially at the 4 thweek. Conversion rate of the HBV-DNA of the telbivudine group was 72.3% ,which was higher than the lamivudine group 42.6%. There is a significant difference between two groups (x2 = 8.530,P < 0.05). 95.7% of ALT in the telbivudine group revived to normal level versus 91.5% of the lamivudine group became normal. There is no significant difference between two groups (P > 0.05). At the end of treatment, the rate of the HBeAg converting to negative in the telbivudine group is 38.3% versus the lamivudine group 31.9%, but there is no significant statistical difference between two groups(x2 = 0.420 ,P > 0.05). The frequence of seroconversion of HBeAg in the telbivudine group is 23.4% versus the lamivudine group 17.0%, but no statisticall difference between two groups (x2 = 0. 594, P > 0.05). Conclusion It was more effective to treat the HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis with telbivudine than lamivudine, and lower frequence of seroconversion of the HBV-DNA、HBeAg.

6.Immunization and glaucoma
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2014;32(5):466-470
Glaucoma, the major cause of global irreversible blindness,is a chronic neurodegenerative disease of the optic nerve.Apoptosis of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and progressive loss of optic nerve axons results in structural and functional deficits in glaucoma patients.Growing evidence obtained from clinical and experimental studies over the last decade strongly suggests the involvement of the immune system in the neurodegenerative process of glaucoma. This review aims to provide a perspective on the complex interplay of cellular events during glaucomatous neurodegeneration that involves aberrances or dysfunctions of immune system, such as ocular immune privilege, glial activation response,T cell-mediated immune responses,autoantibody-mediated immune responses, complement fixation reaction and aging, oxidative stress. The complex interplay of cellular events amplify the primary injury process and contribute to disease progression by oxidative stress and immune response, ultimately lead to cell death with loss of RGCs.
7.Plantar pressure of normal people with different body mass index
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2017;21(23):3730-3735
BACKGROUND:Body mass is a critical factor affecting plantar pressure, and the systematic study on plantar pressure with different body mass has not been reported.OBJECTIVE:To measure the plantar pressure of normal people with different body weight,so as to provide reference for the application of plantar pressure.METHODS:Totally 80 healthy people with different body weight were enrolled, and the dynamic plantar pressure was measured by the Footscan 2 meter flat foot pressure distribution system (RSscan,Belgium). The participants were divided into four groups (n=20 per group) according to the classification criteria for prevention and control of overweight and obesity in Chinese adults, such as underweight, normal weight, overweight group, and obesity groups, and a comparative analysis was conducted.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The peak pressure and impulse of each region of the foot were significantly increased with body mass index increasing (P < 0.05).Compared with the normal weight people, the pressure of the part foot area of the overweight subjects and each part foot area of the obese subjects were significantly increased (P < 0.05).(2) The percentage of the medial plantar contact area accounting the total contact area of the foot was significantly increased with body mass index increasing (P < 0.01);the percentage in the obese group was significantly higher than that in the normal group (P < 0.05).(3) These results show that the plantar pressure and impulse are increased in overweight and obese subjects due to weight gain, and foot will appear with pathological changes with time going.Obese people suffer from arch drop due to weight gain, and increase in contact area of midfoot, which are easy to cause flatfoot.Overweight especially obese, should pay attention to control weight,do appropriate exercise, wear suitable shoes, protect the foot, further to prevent the occurrence of foot injury and flatfoot.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(11):997-1001
Objective To investigate the protective role of Xiongbitong capsule against liver injury in hyperlipemic rats. Methods Sixty Wistar male rats were randomly divided into 5 groups(12 rats in each group): a blank group, a model group, a simvastatin group(10 mg/kg, 2 ml intragastric administration daily), a Xiongbitong capsule high-dose group(25 mg/kg, 2 ml intragastric administration daily), and a Xiongbitong capsule low-dose group(12.5 mg/kg, 2 ml intragastric administration daily). Hyperlipidemia model in rats was indeuced by hyperlipidemic diet. The simvastatin group was intragastric administrated with simvastatin suspension 2 ml(10 mg/kg daily), and the rats in the control group and the model group were intragastric administrated with equal volume of saline. After 10 weeks, the serum leves of total cholesterol(TC), triacylglycerol(TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), nitric oxide(NO), endothelin1(ET-1), and the whole blood viscosities(high-, medium-, low-shear)were measured. Liver injury were evaluated with histopathologic examination by H.E. staining. The expressions of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)in hepatic tissue were measured by immunohistochemical staining. Results The serum leves of TC(1.47± 0.10 mmol/Lvs. 3.48±0.19 mmol/L), TG(0.38±0.11 mmol/Lvs. 0.95±0.14 mmol/L), LDL-C(1.48± 0.18 mmol/Lvs. 2.39±0.22 mmol/L), ET-1(145.81±18.65 pg/mlvs. 177.70±17.70 pg/ml) in the Xiongbitong capsule high-dose group were significantly lower than those in the model group(allP<0.01), HDL-C(1.21±0.14 mmol/Lvs. 0.65±0.10 mmol/L)and NO(31.28±2.36μmol/Lvs. 19.61±1.28μmol/L) significantly lower than those in the model group(allP<0.01), the expressions of ICAM-1(0.133±0.019vs. 0.187±0.011)and MCP-1(0.153±0.014vs. 0.264±0.020)significantly lower than those in the model group(allP<0.01). The liver injury in the Xiongbitong capsule high-dose group decreased than that in the model group. Conclusions Xiongbitong capsule can protect against liver injury via regulating lipid metabolism, protecting endothelial function and down regulating expressions of MCP-1 and ICAM-1.
