1.Mirror syndrome or preeclampsia?
Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2008;11(2):82-85
Objective To study the relationship among hydrops fetalis(over 28 gestational weeks),Mirror syndrome and preeclampsia(PE). Methods Clinical data of 13 cases of hydrops fetalis were analyzed and relative publications were reviewed. Results Eight out of the 13 cases were diagnosed as PE,and 5 were Mirror syndrome.Serious maternal complications occurred in all cases with either Mirror syndrome or PE. ConclusionsFetaland placental hydrops was closely related with maternal symptoms.Clinicians should be aware of this condition and detect Mirror syndrome in time so as to prevent its progress to PE.However, the pathogenic mechanism remains to be fully elucidated.More attention should be paid to both mothers and the hydrops fetalis.
2.Expression of high mobility group A1 in patients with lung squamous cancer and its clinical significance
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2013;(16):4-6
Objective To investigate the expression of high mobility group A1 (HMGA1) in patients with lung squamous cancer and its clinical significance. Methods The expression of HMGA1 in 76 patients with lung squamous cancer (lung squamous cancer group) and 30 cases of control lung tissue (control group) was detected by SP method of immunohistochemistry and its correlation with clinical-pathological parameter was analyzed statistically. Results The positive expression rate of HMGA1 was 68.4% (52/76)and 16.7% (5/30) in lung squamous cancer group and control group respectively, and the difference was significant(P< 0.01).HMGA1 expression showed significant correlation with lymph metastasis and degree of differentiation in patients with lung squamous cancer (P < 0.05).Conclusions The progression of lung squamous cancer may correlate with the increase of HMGA1 expression. It's promising for HMGA1 to become a new marker for diagnosis of lung squamous cancer.Clinical detecting of HMGA1 could help with prognosis and treatment-guiding of lung squamous cancer.
3.Stem cell transplantation for diabetic nephropathy:possibility, feasibility and application
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(10):1635-1640
BACKGROUND:To control blood glucose, blood pressure, blood lipids and inhibit the rennin-angiotensin system is the main idea focused on the treatment of diabetic nephropathy, but the curative effect is unsatisfactory. Hemodialysis and kidney transplantation are suitable for serious cases, however, which is restricted because of the limited source of kidneys and high cost. Regenerative medicine research based on stem cells brings a new hope for treatment of diabetic nephropathy. OBJECTIVE:To comprehensively analyze the mechanism underlying different sources of stem cells for treatment of diabetic nephropathy and the clinical implications. METHODS:Papers addressing stem cells for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy were retrieved by computer in CNKI database and PubMed database from January 2005 to August 2013 with the key words“embryonic stem cells, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, diabetic nephropathyin Chinese and English. Papers published recently or in journals with high impact factor were selected. A total of 60 papers were included for review. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Embryonic stem cells, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells have the potential to differentiate into renal histiocytes. A large numbers of experimental studies have shown that stem cells transplantation has a positive effect on recovery of injured kidney. Stem celltransplantation can provide a novel therapy for diabetic nephropathy.
4.Strategies and techniques for surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2014;13(8):591-595
Surgical treatment is an important method for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) when it is complicated with other intestinal diseases or medical treatment fails. The appropriate timing of surgery can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and is the key factor for the success of treatment.Excessive emphasis on medication and blindly extending the course of medication in case of invalidation will make patients lose the best opportunity of surgery.Surgeons should master different surgical techniques of acute and selective surgeries for IBD.Multi-disciplinary treatment mode is recommended.Adjustment of the preoperative medication, improvement of the nutritional status and the overall condition of the patients are necessary when surgery is unavoidable.
6.New progress in the study of anti influenza drugs in the study of influenza virus infection
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(5):444-448
The antiviral drugs can quickly and directly inhibit influenza virus infection, at present, for influenza virus and replication proteins conserved sites of drugs is the main methods of influenza virus resistance;secondly, traditional Chinese medicine treatment of influenza virus also has an important role;in addition, new technology especially small RNAs mediated RNA interference (RNAi), because of its is efficient, specific and rapid, has become one of the candidate methods for antiviral therapy.
7.Levels of interleukin-6 and CRP in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its significance
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(13):-
Objective To investigate IL-6 and CRP levels, and their relationship with airflow obstruction、frequency of exacerbation in patients with COPD.Methods From Feb.2004 to Jul.2004,sputum and serum specimens were obtained from 54 patients with stable COPD and 10 age-matched healthy controls. The concentrations of sputum IL-6 and serum IL-6 were measured by ELISA.The concentrations of sputum CRP and serum CRP were measured by transmissive heterometric titration. Results (1)Sputum IL-6 levels in COPD patients of all stages were higher than those in controls(P
8.Reconstruction of the posterior cruciate ligament with ligament advanced reinforcement system artificial ligament transplantation under knee arthroscopy
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(08):-
AIM: To observe the functional recovery of knee joint in patients with posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) under knee arthroscopy with ligament advanced reinforcement system (LARS) artificial ligament transplantation. METHODS: From January 2005 to May 2006, six patients with PCL injury treated by reconstruction of PCL with LARS artificial ligament transplantation were selected from the Department of Orthopedics, Huadu Hospital Affiliated to Southern Medical University. All subjects agreed with the operation before the surgery and all reconstruction surgeries were of second period. ① The tibial tunnel was established firstly. ② Then was the femoral tunnel. ③ Under knee arthroscopy, the "Y"-shape double cords of LARS artificial ligament were cut through ante-out and meta-in bone tunnels of femur, and fixed at 90o and 30o flexion respectively. Patients were required to motor 3 days postoperative, and patients actively exercised their quadriceps muscle of thigh at one week later. Regular follow-ups were conducted postoperatively, and functional evaluation of the knee joints was performed by according to Lysholm standards, including 8 aspects: Limping, supporting, interlocking, unstable, painful, swell, upstairs and downstairs and squatting with a total score of 100 points. The higher the score was, the better the functional recovery of knee joint. RESULTS: All of the 6 patients were available at follow-up, and no one withdrew from the study. The follow-up was conducted at the 7th, 7th, 10th, 10.4th, 12.8th, and 14th months with an average duration of 10.2 months. After operation, unstable symptoms of knee joint in all subjects disappeared with negative sag sign and posterior drawer. The Lysholm knee scores of patients postoperation were significantly higher than those before the surgery (83.5?4.5, 51.6?3.6, P
