1.The influence of perioperative fluid therapy on coagulation
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2016;23(9):1428-1431
Objective Perioperative fluid therapy has always been the most basic and important measure to maintain the stability of patients'cyclic system.Colloid and crystalloid,as common perioperative fluid, play different roles in clinical application due to the different molecular sizes. In the recent years, besides their contribution to maintain the stability of cyclic system, scientists have begun to pay attention to the effect on coagulation, especially their comparison. This paper mainly discusses the study status of the influence on coagulation produced by different liquids.

Objective:To determine phenolphthalein illegally added into diet health products by Raman spectroscopy. Methods:Raman spectroscopy was used to determine phenolphthalein added into diet health products. The diet health products were extracted by suitable solvents, and then the extracting solution was measured by Raman spectroscopy. Results: A calibration curve was built and the analysis was performed on the samples with phenolphthalein at different concentrations. The results were accordance with the real added amount. Conclusion:With simple sample preprocessing method, Raman spectroscopy can be used in the fast detection of phe-nolphthalein illegally added into diet health products. The method is fast and simple with low cost, and can provide both qualitative and quantitative results. The detection limit is 1% for phenolphthalein in diet health products.

OBJECTIVETo identify the function of the gene encoding Neurospora crassa EAA33149.1 protein which has 46.85% similarity with Aspergillus niger phA gene.
METHODSThe bioinformatics analysis was conducted using the prediction algorithms SignalP v3.0, arginine and lysine propeptide cleavage sites in eukaryotic protein sequence prediction algorithms ProP 1.0 server, transmembrane domain prediction algorithms Tmpred and TMHMM v2.0, potential GP I-anchor sites prediction algorithm big-P I Predictor and the subcellular protein location prediction algorithms TargetP v1.01. According to the analysis results, the gene was cloned into Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
RESULTSThe signal peptide, the cleavage site and the secretion pathway were determined, and the expressed recombinant protein with 54,000 displayed phytase activity.
CONCLUSIONThe gene has been identified to encode N. crassa phyA.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2012;47(7):934-940
The microbial transformation of buflomedil by Cunninghamella blakesleana AS 3.153 was studied, as well as a microbial model which can be used to mimic metabolism of buflomedil in mammal was established. Experiments were conducted to screen the capabilities of four strains of Cunninghamella species to transform buflomedil, in which C. blakesleana AS 3.153 was selected for a preparative biotransformation. Furthermore, the microbial model was established based on the transformation condition optimization. The parent drug and its metabolites produced by C. blakesleana AS 3.153 were detected by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry method and three metabolites were identified while two of them were new found metabolites. Two major metabolites, para-O-desmethyl buflomedil and 12-C-oxidated buflomedil, were isolated by semi-preparative HPLC. Based on the comparison between different species, the microbial transformation of buflomedil by C. blakesleana AS 3.153 is more similar to the metabolism of buflomedil in human and Beagle dog than that in rat.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2017;37(1):74-78
There have been many studies on the nutrition and the growth status of children from rural and remote western regions of China, whereas researches on children from urban low-income families are scarce. This study aimed to investigate the growth and nutritional status of children under five years of age from urban low-income families in China. There were 169 children aged 25-60 months recruited from Xiangtan and Jilin, two cities with a population of 2.81 million and 4.26 million respectively,in China in this cluster cross-sectional study.Data were collected on demographic and socioeconomic characteristics, the feeding practices and the incidence of anemia and diarrhea. The results showed that the prevalence of low birth weight and macrosomia was 7.l% and 9.5% for the two cities, respectively, which was higher than that for other cities in China (1.5% and 5.9%).Of all the sampled children,14.6% and 8.2% suffered anemia and diarrhea, respectively.Multivariate analysis showed that legumes or nuts fed in a 24-h recall increased the risk of anemia (OR=4.9).Children whose caregivers began to introduce complementary foods relatively late would have high diarrhea prevalence (OR=1.4).In conclusion, the prevalence of anemia and diarrhea in under-five children from urban low-income families in China is relatively high. The growth and nutritional status of these children is greatly affected by feeding practices.A series of measures should be taken by relevant government departments to improve the health of these children.

Objective To assess the clinical values of MR angiography(MRA)in the detection of deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs. Methods Two-dimensional time of flight(2D TOF)MRA was performed in thirty patients who were suspected of having deep vein thrombosis in the lower limbs. The findings of MRA were compared to that of digital subtraction angiography(DSA).Results twenty-five cases showed deep vein thrombosis in the lower limbs, the MRA findings included venous filling defect (14 cases),occlusions and interruptions of veins(8 cases),venous recanalizations(3 cases),collateral veins(25 cases).Taking the results of DSA as a golden standard,MRA detected all of the affected cases with only one case as the false positive. Conclusion 2D TOF MRA is a method of choice in the diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the clinical features of 6 children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and review related literature, and to provide a basis for early diagnosis and effective treatment of this disease.
METHODSA retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 6 children with DMD who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2010 to October 2015.
RESULTSAll the 6 cases were boys without a family history of DMD, and the age of diagnosis of DMD was 1.2-11.5 years. All patients had insidious onset and increases in alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, α-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase (CK), and creatine kinase-MB, particularly CK, which was 3.3-107.2 times the normal level. Their gene detection results all showed DMD gene mutation. The gene detection results of two children's mothers showed that they carried the same mutant gene. The muscle biopsy in one case showed that the pathological changes confirmed the diagnosis of DMD. The level of CK in one case declined by 77.0% 5 days after umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cell transplantation.
CONCLUSIONSFor boys with abnormal serum enzyme levels and motor function, DMD should be highly suspected. It should be confirmed by CK and DMD gene detection as soon as possible. And the progression of the disease could be delayed by early intervention for protecting the remaining normal muscle fibers.

10.Pure tone audiology for Meniere disease: a clinical analysis of 75 cases.
Journal of Southern Medical University 2010;30(6):1410-1414
OBJECTIVETo analyze clinical pure tone test data in patients with Meniere disease and study the changes in the audiometic curve configuration.
METHODSA retrospective analysis was conducted of the pure tone test data in 75 cases (82 ears) from 1984 to 2008. The audiometic curve configuration was divided into 6 categories to analyze the relationship between the main curve types and the clinical stages. RESULTS The most common audiogram was the peak type (46.34%), followed by the falling type (19.51%) and the mountain type (12.19%), and the dip type was relatively rare (2.43%). No significant differences were found in the rate of peak audiograms between the clinical stages. The common audiogram peak frequency occurred at 2 kHz (47.39%). The top curve of 1-2 kHz had the largest proportion in mountain type audiograms (70%, 7/10 ears).
CONCLUSIONThe peak type and mountain type configuration are one of the audiological characteristics of Meniere disease, especially for 2 kHz peak, which may serve as the diagnostic features of Meniere disease in the vertigo patients on their first visit.
