1.Establishment of 3-dimensional finite element model of human knee joint and its biomechanics

Objective To establish a 3-dimensional (3-D) finite element knee model in healthy Chinese males, to verify the validity of the model, and to analyze the biomechanics of this model under axial load, flexion moment, varus/valgus torque, and internal/external axial torque. Methods A set of consecutive transectional computerized tomography images of normal male knee joints in upright weight-bearing position was selected. With image processing and inversion technology, the 3-D finite element model of the normal knee joint was established through the software ABAQOUS/STANDARD Version-6.5.Biomechanical analysis of this model was processed under axial load, flexion moment, varus/valgus torque, and internal/external axial torque.Results A 3-D finite element model of healthy Chinese males was successfully established. The ranges of motion of varus and valgus were both small and the difference between them has no statistical significance (P>0.05). The motion of internal and external rotation of the knee took place only in flexion situation.The range of motion of external rotation was larger than that of internal rotation in the same knee (P<0.05).Conclusion The 3-D geometrical model of the knee resembles the actual knee segments. It can immitate the knee response to different loads. This model could be used for further study on knee biomechanics.
2.Management of Medical Wastes Guided by PDCA Loop Method

OBJECTIVE To find standard for the management of the medical waste through the plan,do,check and action(PDCA) loop method. METHODS Four steps of PDCA were done to treat the medical wastes. RESULTS Establishment of the effective management of organization and the feasible rules and regulations was an important pledge.Training,propaganda and education for enhancing every-one′s management consciousness were a considerable element.Matching institutions for treating medical waste was the most important basis.Examinations according to the formulated quality specification were the artifice. CONCLUSIONS PDCA loop method is one of the scientific management for treating the medical wastes.
3.Analysis on effectiveness of Xinjikang Granules combined with creatine phosphate sodium for treating children with viral myocarditis

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of creatinine phosphate sodium combined with Xinjikang Granules in treating children with viral myocarditis ,and provide reference for clinical treatment .Methods 160 children patients with viral myo‐carditis from January 2011 to January 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group ac‐cording to the digital table method ,80 cases in each group .The control group used the symptomatic treatment of fructose diphos‐phate (FDP) ,vitamin C ,coenzyme Q10 and ribavirin ,while the observation group used creatine phosphate sodium and Xinjikang Granules on the basis of control group .The clinical effects ,ECG improvement ,cardiac enzymes and troponin I levels were compared between the two groups .Results The effective rate in the observation group was 87 .50% ,which was significantly higher than 70 .00% in the control group ,the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =7 .320 ,P=0 .004);the effective rate of ECG improve‐ment in the observation group was 90 .00% ,which was significantly higher than 75 .00% in the control group ,the difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 6 .234 ,P=0 .005);the levels of AST ,CPK ,LDH ,CK‐MB ,HBDH and cTnI after treatment in the two groups were significantly improved compared with before treatment ,the differences were statistically significant (P< 0 .05) ,the levels of AST ,CPK ,LDH ,CK‐MB ,HBDH ,and cTnI after treatment in the observation group were (29 .98 ± 4 .66)U/L ,(184 .41 ± 5 .97)U/L ,(314 .25 ± 9 .84)U/L ,(22 .29 ± 2 .98)U/L ,(268 .37 ± 8 .64)U/L and (0 .13 ± 0 .04)μg/L respectively ,which showed the statistical differences compared with the control group ,[(33 .49 ± 4 .98)U/L、(196 .49 ± 6 .71)U/L、(328 .64 ± 11 .14)U/L、(26 .53 ± 3 .44)U/L、(298 .68 ± 10 .64)U/L、(0 .25 ± 0 .05)μg/L ,P<0 .05] .Conclusion Creatinine phosphate sodium in treating children with viral myocarditis has significant clinical effect ,and is worthy of clinical promotion and application .
4.Application of peritoneal non-closure technique in radical surgery of cervical carcinoma

Purpose:To assess the postoperative effects that maybe associated with the closure or non closure of peritoneum at transabdominal radical surgery of cervical carcinoma, and observe the feasibility of applying peritoneal non closure technique in gynaecological tumor operations.Methods:852 patients undergoing radical surgery in our hospital between August 1998 to August 2001 were divided randomly into two groups: peritoneum closed ( n = 407) or peritoneum open ( n = 445). Student u test and Chi square test were used for statistical analysis of the results: operative duration, bowel function restoration, febrile duration, antibiotics requirement, lymphadenocyst formation, pelvic infection and ileus and incision healing of the two groups.Results:As compared to the closure of peritoneum, the length of operation time and bowel function restoration were shorter, febrile duration was shorter, the morbidity of pelvic infection and lymphadenocyst formation were lower, antibiotics requirement was fewer, the incidence of ileus and wound infection was significantly less frequently seen in the non closure group( P
5.Establishment of method for the analysis of Yun Zhi Polysaccharopeptide(PSP) by HPCE

Objective: To establish the analytical method for the characteristic electropherograms of PSP by High Performance Capillary Electrophoresis(Capillary Zone Electrophoresis). Method: Types, concentration and pH of electrolyte, voltage, temperature, length and size of column were investigated for the analysis of PSP and BSA which is as standard using capillary zone electrophoresis. Results: The optimum condition is that 10mmol?L -1 boric acid buffer, pH9.18, a column 50?m?57cm(HP, effective length of 48.5cm), 30KV, temperature 25 ?C ,DAD detection. The analysis is ended within 7min. Conclusion: The method is simple, rapid and reliable. The characteristic electropherograms of PSP can be established.
8.STUDY ON INDUCATION CONDITIONS FOR THE PROPAGULUM OF THE EPA AND AA-PRODUCING FUNGUS DIASPORANGIUM SP.

It was investigated that the effect of various inducing mediums,times and temperatures on the number of the zoospores from Diasporangium sp.producing polyunsaturated fatty acid of Eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA) and Arachidonic acid(AA).The results showed that the zoospores were detected in various liquid mediums after 1 day,They were globose and about 23.9 ?m in diameter.And maximum number of spores was obtained 6 days after translocation of mycilium to carrot patches at 25℃.But the number of the zoospores was the most 8 days at the same condition.The highest germination rate of the fungus was obtained in the vegetative agar.

In order to change the situations such as students’passivity and low enthusiasm in the traditional experimental teaching of Microbiology and improve students’comprehensive qualities,exploration and attempt on experimental teaching reforms including teaching contents,teaching modes,laboratory management and evaluation system of examination were done.Teaching practices showed that the normalized ex- periment syllabus based on the correct orientation of experimental teaching of Microbiology,the actualization of teaching mode of basic skill training-integrated experiment-designed experiment and the management of opening laboratory were effective measures in improving experimental teaching of Microbiology.
