5.Ethic Analysis on the Current Situation of Nursing Human Resource Allocation in Shanghai
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
This article collects data of nursing staff from 34 hospitals in Shanghai by on-spot interview which could reflects the current situation of nursing human resource allocation there. The result shows a shortage of nurse staff'.Most of them are female and youthful, with lower diploma and lower job title.By analyzing the equity of allocation, the accessibility of health service and the rationality of staff structure,we give some advices that the government should allocate the nursing human resource rationally to insure the quality of nursing care and maintain the stableness of nursing staff team.
6.Vision disorders in the elderly
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2016;35(2):120-122
Visual impairment is one of the common problems in the elderly, and regular screening should be considered for early detection as well as prevention. This article describes some of the common causes of vision loss in older adults, including cataracts,age-related macular degeneration, ametropia (presbyopia) and diabetic retinopathy.Patients with senile cataract should be offered a manifest refraction in the early stage, and surgical treatments are indicated when their vision is less than or equal to 0.4.Prevention and treatment of age-related macular degeneration may be achieved through medication or dietary adjustment.Vascular endothelial growth factor can be used in the treatment of neovascularage-related macular degeneration.Patients with presbyopia are advised to obtain a manifest refraction.Patients with diabetic retinopathy should be regularly offered an ocular fundus examination and receive early treatment when necessary, with particular attention paid to glycaemic control.
7.THE EFFECT OF APOLIPOPROTEIN B POLYMORPHISMS ON THE LIPID REGULATING THERAPY FOR HYPERLIPIDEMIA
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(07):-
To study the efficacy of small dosage of simvastatin on the treatment of hyperlipidemia, and the effect of polymorphisms in ApoB gene expression. Sixty one patients with hyperlipidemia were selected and simvastatin 5mg/d was used. TC, TG, HDL, LDL, ApoAI and ApoB and the function of liver and kidney were measured in every patient prior to the treatment and 4, 8, 12 weeks after treatment. RFLPs was applied for determination of polymorphisms on Xbal locus of the ApoB gene. In the total of 61 patients, X + X - genotype was found in 5 patients (8.20%), and X - X - genotype in 56 patients (91.80%), but no X + X + genotype was found. The relative frequency of X + allele was 0.041, and X - allele was 0.959, suggesting X - allele was still a dominant one in the patients with hyperlipidemia. The results showed that small dosage of simvastatin could effectively reduce blood levels of TC, TG, LDL C and ApoB. The levels of TC and LDL C lowering was more prominent in X - X - genotype than that in X + X - genotype (27.62% and 35.02% vs. 22.36% and 20.05%, P
8.Study and management for issues about patients with lupus nephritis after pregnancy
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(06):-
Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)is an autoimmune disease that affects primarily women, commonly in their reproductive years but does not influence fertility.More recent prospective studies indicate that pregnancy is safe for the majority of mothers if it is planned when SLE is quiescent. In pregnant women with lupus nephritis, the outcome of the fetal and maternal is strongly correlated with lupus activity, kidney function and the presence of aPL at the time of conception. To prevent renal complications, prednisone is given after conception, and reinforcement for a few days before the estimated delivery and for a week after delivery or miscarriage with rapid tapering to maintenance levels may be suggested.Treatment of flares includes corticosteroids, hydroxychloroquine, azothioprine and cyclosporin A.Blood pressure is controlled with methyldopa, labetalol nifedipine or hydralazine.
9. MicroRNAs and liver cancer: Recent progress
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(5):561-564
MicroRNA (miRNA) is a small non-coding RNA that contains 21 to 23 nucleotides and can down-regulate gene expression by translational repression. Recent studies found that some miRNAs might function both as oncogenes and tumor suppressors; its role in the tumorigenesis may complement and enrich the mechanisms of tumorigenesis. Liver cancer is a great threat to human health, whose pathogenesis is still not completely understood. MiRNAs can influence the tumorigenesis, differentiation and treatment of liver cancer. Here we summarizes the related progression in research of miRNA and liver cancer.
