4.Detecting AmpC β-lactamases from nosocomial Klebsiella pneumoniae infection and their resistance in ICU patients
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2013;20(6):801-803
Objective To explore cephalosporinase from nosocomial Klebsiella pneumoniae infection and their drug-resistant characteristics among the ICU patients so as to provide an instruction for rational clinical medication. Methods 67 samples were identified with VITEK-60 automated system. The strains producing AmpC β-lactamases were screened with cefoxitin disk diffusion method recommended by the CLSI,and confirmed by cefoxitin three-dimensional test.AmpC β-lactamase genotype was differentiated by PCR-sequencing and susceptibility tests which were done with the Kirby-Bauer method recommended by the CLSI.Results In the 67 isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae,11 strains(16.4%) were found to produce AmpC β-lactamases.The drug-resistant genotype for all the 11 AmpC-positive strains was DHA-1.AmpC-producing strains developed multi-drug resistance, especially for broadspectrum β-lactam antibiotics and enzyme inhibitors.β-lactamases-producing strains were more resistant than non-producing ones. Conclusion Klebsiella pneumoniae in ICU patients has a higher proportion of producing AmpC β-lactamase strains, which are all of DHA-1 genotype and have multi-drug resistance.
5.Advances in arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(2):158-161
Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy(ARVC) is a cardiac muscle disease characterized by peculiar right ventricular involvement that precipitates ventricular arrhythmias and sudden death.ARVC is a major cause of sudden death in the young and athletes. It is familial origin in 50% to 70% of cases, which follows an autosomal in heritance pattern. The pathology consists of a genetically determined dystrophy of the right ventricular myocardium with fibrofatty replacement.Clinical diagnosis can be achieved by demonstrating functional and structural alterations of the right ventricle, depolarization and repolarization abnormalities, arrhythmias with the left bundle branch block and fibro-fatty replacement through endomyocardial biopsy.Clinical research has indicated that successful treatment of ARVC is based on lifestyle modifications, prophylactic therapy(antiarrhythmic drugs, catheter ablation and implantable cardioverter defibrillator)to prevent sudden death.
6.Advances in research of tumor infiltrating dentritic cells
China Oncology 2001;0(02):-
As antigen-presenting cells, DCs are the most potent and unique, they can stimulate the primitive T cells. They play a major role in initiating the immune response. Tumor infiltrating dendritic cells (TIDCs) can reflect the antitumor immune capability of the host. The density of TIDC perhaps is associated with the prognosis in some cancers. The disablement of TIDCS is partly due to the phenotype they have. Perhaps it is the immunosuppressive factors secreted by tumor cells that have changed their phenotype. The studies about TIDCs provide the basis for DC-mediated antitumor immune therapy, and suggest the use of DC to treat tumors through different approaches.
7.Approaches to construct the faculty's professionalism in medical schools
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(03):-
Professional development of faculty is an essential component of strategy for medical schools to construct teaching team.Development of education is dependent upon the professional quality of teaching staff.Starting from connotation of faculty's professionalism, this paper compared present status of composition of teaching staff in China with that in foreign countries, explored the potential approaches for medical schools to strengthen the construction and sustainable development of teaching staff.
8.A curative efficacy study of functional training focusing on muscle group around shoulder for subacromial impingement syndrome
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine 2017;32(5):543-547
Objective:To study the curative efficacy of functional training focusing on muscle group around shoulder for subacromial impingement syndrome.Method:Forty five patients with subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS) were randomly grouped into three groups (fifteen patients for each group).Patients in Group Ⅰ were trained only on muscles around scapula.Patients in Group Ⅱ were treated on rotator cuff muscles. While patients in Group Ⅲ were treated on both. The training goes every 2 days and last for 4 weeks. The indexes for evaluating curative efficacy included:the Neer-test,the Hawkins-test and the Peen Shoulder Score. These indexes were measured immediately and three months after the four week treatment.Result:After treatment of the functional training focusing on muscle group around shoulder,Neer-tests and Hawkins-tests of all of patients were changed from positive to negative, the degree of pain compared with pain before the treatment declined apparently(P<0.01),at the same time, the degree of satisfaction and the function went up remarkablely(P<0.01).Compared with group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ,it dropped the most notably on the degree of pain in the group Ⅲ(P<0.01),however,the degree of satisfaction and the function rose most apparently (P<0.01) Conclusion:The curative efficacy of functional training focusing on muscle group around shoulder for sub-acromial impingement syndrome was effective apparently. But the efficacy of treated focusing on both muscles around scapula and rotator cuff was the most remarkably.
