Objective To investigate the change of serum prealbumin (PA) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in burn patients and its clinical significance.Methods Sixty eight cases of burn patients were divided into two groups,group Ⅰ [n=38,with total burn surface area less than 15% of total body surface area (TBSA)] and groupⅡ(n=30,with total burn surface area more than 50% of TBSA). Thirty healthy people were set as healthy control group. Particle enhanced immunoturbidimetic assay was applied to detecting the serum levels of PA and CRP for all subjects on the day 1 after burns.Results The CRP level was much higher and serum level of PA was much lower in group Ⅱ than that of group Ⅰ,respectively. There existed significant negative correlation between PA and CRP level.Conclusion The level of serum PA decreases significantly along with total burn surface area expansion. PA can be used as a sensitive marker for estimation of inflammation degree after burns.

Objective:To establish a method for the determination of salicylic acid in the compound sulfur ointments by ultra-per-formance liquid chromatography (UPLC). Methods:An Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18(250 mm ×4.6 mm,5 μm)column was used, the mobile phase was methanol-0. 1 mol·L-1 sodium dihydrogen phosphate (30∶70), the detection wavelength was 231nm, the column temperature was 35℃, the flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1 and the injection volume was 10μl. Results:The linear range of salicylic acid was 11. 96-59. 80 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 9), and the average recovery was 99. 72%(RSD=1. 28%,n=9). Conclusion:The method is accurate, stable and specific, and suitable for the determination of salicylic acid in the compound sulfur ointments.

Objective To discuss the comparability of ALT, AST, CK and LDH results by ap- plying three different vacuum tubes (no additive tubes, separation gel coagulation promoting tubes and other coagulation promoting tubes) for venous blood samples, and to provide evidence for clinical tests. Methods Fast venous blood from 26 healthy blood donors were collected in test tubes without additives, separation gel coagulation promoting tubes and other coagulation promoting tubes. Olympus AU5400 Biochemical Analyzer was applied to examining serum ALT, AST, CK and LDH for all pre- pared serum samples. Results There was no statistical difference of serum ALT, AST, CK and LDH level collected in test tubes without additives, separation gel coagulation promoting tubes and other co- agulation promoting tubes. With the no additive tubes as the standard tubes, the above result bias be- tween separation gel coagulation promoting tubes and other coagulation promoting tubes were clinically acceptable. Conclusion There is credible comparability of serum ALT, AST, CK and LDH level a- mong different kinds of venous blood samples collected in test tubes without additives, separation gel coagulation promoting tubes and other coagulation promoting tubes. The separation gel coagulation promoting tubes and other coagulation promoting tubes can substitute test tubes without additives for ALT, AsT, CK and LDH determination.

Objective To study the role of glucocorticoid (GC) in treating patients with cyto- megalovirus (CMV) pneumonia following renal transplantation.Methods There were 75 cases CMV pneumonia following renal transplantation during one month (3 cases),2-6 months (64 cases) and more than 6 months (8 cases).All patients were subjected to the comprehensive treatments including anti-virus therapy.In 47 cases,GC was given (GC group),and in the rest 28 cases,GC was not administered (non-GC group).Results In GC group,40 cases (85.1%) were cured and there were 7 deaths (14.9%).In non-GC group,17 cases (60.7%) were cured and there were 11 deaths (39.3%).There was significant difference between two groups (P

AIM and METHODS: To study the protective effects of liposomes containing L-Arg,Se and taurine on intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Wistar rats were divided randomly into sham operated group,ischemia-reperfusion(I/R) group,pretreatment with liposomes group and treatment with liposomes at reperfusion group. In the experiments, superior mesenteric artery was clipped for 60 min, and then unclipped. 2 hours of reperfusion later, MDA content, T-SOD and Ca 2+ -Mg 2+ -ATPase activities in intestinal tissues were detected respectively, ultrastructure and bcl-2 expression in intestinal mucosa tissue were observed. RESULTS: MDA content in liposomes-treated group was less than I/R group ( P 0.05). CONCLUSION: Liposomes containing L-arginine, Se and taurine can protect intestine against ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats,which may be related to inhibiting lipid peroxidation, stabilizing internal circumstances and inducing bcl-2 protein expression.

AIM: To investigate the protective effect of ischemic-preconditioning under the mild hypothermia against small intestine ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats and its mechanism. METHODS: Thirty-two rats were randomized into 4 groups (8 rats in each group): sham operated group (Sham), ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) group, ischemic-preconditioning (IP) group, mild hypothermia ischemic-preconditioning (MHIP) group. The wet/dry ratio, Ca 2+ -Mg 2+ -ATPase activity in intestine tissue, the malondialdehyde (MDA) content, activities of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and total antioxdase (TAX) in blood were determined. Ultrastructure, Bcl-2 and Bax expression in intestinal mucosa tissue were also observed. Objective To explore the rehabilitation outcome and influencing factors of functional recovery in patients with nontraumatic spinal cord injury (NTSCI). Methods A retrospective analysis was done on 49 cases suffering from NTSCI who recepted rehabilitation therapy from December 2014 to November 2016. The main indicator of the rehabilitation effect was Modified Barthel Index (MBI). A total of 49 cases were divided into two groups, effective group (31 cases) and ineffective group (18 cases) according to whether their MBI on discharge had beated the target setted on admission. The following factors:ages, gender, injury causes, injury level, injury grade, injury severity, the types of paralysis, hospitalization time, sick time, complications number, MBI on admission and discharge, operation, early rehabilitation were evaluated by Univarite analysis and Logistic stepwise regression to assess how they influenced rehabilitation outcome. Results After systematically rehabilitation training, MBI had apparent improvement, from (38.98 ± 24.90) score on admission to (56.35 ± 22.69) score on discharge and had statistical significance(Z=-4.95, P=0.00), which showed that rehabilitation training can effectively improve patients′ self-care ability of daily living. Regression analysis found that the MBI on admission (OR=1.044, P=0.010) and hospitalization time(OR=1.044, P=0.039) had a noticeable effect on the rehabilitation outcome, while all the other factors, such as age, sex, injury grade, injury level, injury severity, complications number hadn′t show concrete effect on rehabilitation outcome. Conclusions Patients with NTSCI should have early rehabilitation, medical staff should assess their admission MBI, make a strict rehabilitation training plan to improve rehabilitation efficiency, shorten hospitalization time, improve the patients quality of life.
