Objective To analyze the allele frequencies of 5 short tandem repeat(STR)loci(D12S313,D12S304,D12S1640,D12S1708 and D12S1583)on chromosome 12 among Kashin-Beck disease(KBD)patients and the control population living in the area suffered from KBD.Methods Fifty KBD patient8 and 50 non-KBD patients were chosen in endemic afea of Shaanxi Province,5 STR loci on chromosome 12 were genotyped by the technology of polymerase chain reacfion(PCR)and capillary electmphoresis. The pelymorphisms of STR in these popIllations were analyzed. The allele and genotype frequencies of each STR in the corresponding groups were caleulated and compared. Results In KBD group, the 5 STR loci had 8,6,7,5 and 11 types ofalleles and 17,11,15,8 and 28 genotypes, respectively;while in the control group, the number of aUele types of 5 STR loci were 6,8,6,4 and 10,the number of genotype of those loci were 13,21,14,8 and 23,respectively The allele frequence of D12S304 locus was statiBtically significant between KBD patients and controls(P<0.05),especially for the 319 bp allele(P<0.006 25). Conclusion There is an association between D12S304 locus and KBD.The 319 bp allele might play the key role.

Journal of Kunming Medical University 2013;(10):39-41
Objective To establish a self-made chiral column for enantiomeric separation of salbutamol. Methods We used different concentrations of acid, alkali additives in the polar phase flow for enantiomers separation of salbutamol by using 3, 4-dichlorophenyl isocyanate vancomycin chiral column, and discussed the chiral recognition mechanism. Results The ratio of acid to alkali additive in the mobile phase was 0.01%:0.01% (V/V), the flow rate was 1ml/min, the column temperature was 25℃, and the best separation of enantiomers of salbutamol was obtained, the selective factor was 1.16, the separation degree reached 1.41. Conclusion Self-made 3, 4-two chlorophenyl isocyanate vancomycin chiral column is effective for salbutamol separation, and it can be as a reference for developing other similar chiral stationary phase.

Objective To investigate the changes and significance of Th1/Th2 cytokines in ankylosing spondyhtis (AS).Metbotis Serum and synovial fluid levels of TNF-α,IL.17.IL-10 and IL-4 were detected by en-zyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)in AS cases. Results The serun levels of TNF-α,IL-17 and IL-10 were significantly higher, while the serum level of IL-4 Was significantly lower in AS group than in normal group. The levels of TNF-α.IL-17 and IL-4 in synovial fluid were significantly higher than in serum. Conclusion Disequilibrium exists in Th1/Th2 cytokine network of AS.and there is a strong predominance of Th1.

OBJECTIVETo explore biomechanical properties and stress-strain of mucosa scars after cleft palate surgery.
METHODSAfter the model of mucosa scars was made, the mucosa scars and normal mucosa were excised and examined immediately by tensionometry.
RESULTSThe mucosa scars after cleft palate surgery were compared with normal mucosa. The Poisson's ratio of mucosa scars and normal mucosa was 0.5 and 0.49, respectively, showing no significant difference between the two groups. The ultimate Young's modulus of mucosa scars was about 24.22 MPa, however, it declined to 3.32 Mpa in normal mucosa.
CONCLUSIONSThe mucosa scars after cleft palate surgery are biomechanically weaker than normal mucosa. It can be used for further research, such as maxillary orthognathic surgery, distraction osteogenesis, and orthodontic treatment.

Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and clinical oulcomes of aortic valve replacement (AVR) performed with minimally invasive technique. Methods From June 2010 to October 2011,20 cases of minimally invasive AVR were performed. The mean age was (47.60±12.28) ;12 males and 8 females. All patients are ventilated with a double-lumen endotracheal tube, through the 3nd anterior intercostals space with a 5 -6cmskin incision, right femoral artery and vein cannulation are used to establish CPB,direct aortic cross-clamped by Chitwood sliding clamp through the right 4th intercostals space, and completed the aortic valve replacement. Results Mean length of incision was (4.73±0.54)cm.Mean duration of cardiopulmonary bypass was (124±39.83)min,crossclamp time was (97.21±33.17) min.Median intubation time was (13.55±3.87)hours.Median duration of intensive care and postoperative hospital stay was (16.34±3.82)hours and (6.63±1.45) days, respectively.Hospital mortality was 0.There was no perivalvular leakage,Conclusion Minimally invasive aortic replacement with a modified Port-Access approach is feasible, small incisions, more cosmetic, shorter length of bospital stay and less need for blood transfusion are attainable.
