Necrotizing enterocolitis ( NEC) is a common neonatal emergency and severe case. It is a se-rious threat to the neonates. Apoptotic signal transduction pathway can be classified into extrinsic apoptotic path-way,the intrinsic apoptosis pathway and endoplasmic reticulum pathways. Inflammatory mediators can induce apoptosis in intestinal epithelial cells through the three ways mentioned above. It plays an important role in the development of NEC,which might be important for the pathogenesis of NEC.

Objective To investigate the correla tion between the plasma endothelin (ET) and gastric mucosal pathology.Methods In this experiment,seven dogs who exper ienced common bile-duct ligation were in experiment group, the other three dogs who underwent sham-operation were control group. By using specific radio immun ological method, the plasma ET levels were determined in dogs before and after 1 ,4,7 d. The total bilirubin levels were determined before and after 1,4,7 d afte r operation by using carbazotic acid method.The gastric mucosa,7 d after operati on, was cut into slices and was examined under the electron microscope and the l ight microscope.Results In the experiment group,the levels of ET and total bilirubin rose continually and were higher than those in control gr oup. Vascular congestion and oedema were seen in gastric mucosa of common bile- duct ligated dogs. Under the electron microscope, we could see the dilated bloo d capillary and sludging of blood,the intenstitial mucusa cells oedema. Conclusion The increase of plasma ET might lea d to impairment of mucosal micro-circulation,which might be one of the pathogen s that could induce the gastric mucosal damages in common bile-duct ligated dog s.

[Objective]To appraise the indications,essential technical points and selection of prostheses of hemi or total arthroplasty of the shoulder for severe damages of proximal part of humerus.[Method]Twelve cases had an arthroplasty of the shoulder;4 total-arthroplasties and 8 hemi-arthroplasties of the shoulder;6 cases of four parts fractures,2 cases of humeral head osteonecrosis,1 case of osteonecrosis of humeral head and glenoid cavity,2 cases of proliferative arthritis with the shoulder rigidity,1 case of bone humor.The function of the shoulder was evaluated postoperatively according to the methods of Amercian Society of Surgeons for Shoulder and Elbow Joints.All cases were followed up with a mean duration of 14 months.[Result]Twelve cases revealed obvious relief of pain with absence of pain in 8 and mild in 4.Twelve cases had no prosthetic stems loosening.The motion range of the shoulder was improved with a mean abduction of 100.Ten cases had the satisfactory results for treatment.[Conclusion]Hemi or total arthroplastyof shoulder is effective for complicated proximal humeral damages.The key of success is related with scientific operative method,appropriate selection of prostheses,effective rehabilitation plan.

Objective To study the effect of prodnisolone on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced RANTES by microglia.Methods The microglia were incubated in MEM culture medium,and different concentrations of LPS 0,100,500,1000?g/L) or LPS(100?g/L) and prodnisolone(10?mol/L) were added into the culture medium.12h later,the amount of RANTES was measured by ELISA.Results Microglia markedly produced RANTES in response to LPS.Prodnisolone significantly reduced the production of RANTES in microglia.Conclusion Prodnisolone has an inhibitive effect on the production of chemokines such as RANTES.

BACKGROUND:It is very nscessary for the prevention and treatment of ostaoarthritis(OA)to understand the tensile mechanical properties of lateral collateral ligaments(LCLs)of knee joints with osteoarthritis,while reports on it are still few.OBJECTIVE:To compare the LCL tensile mechanical property indexes of knee joints between normal animals and OA medels established for this purpose,and to provide qualitative and quantitative referential data about effects of OA on the LCL tensile mechanical properties of animal knee joints.DESlGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized controlled trial was finished at the Mechanical Expedmental Center of Jilin University from December 20th to 30th in 2008.MATERIALS:A total of 20 male SD rats of 6 months old were divided into a normal control group and a model group,with 10ones in each group.METHOOS:Rats in the model group were copied into OA models.after which test on tensile was performed to each of the ten rats in the two groups at the speed of 5mm/min on Universal Testing Machine,Shimadzu.Data obtained from the test were processed in polynomial though least square method.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Tensile maximum load.maximum displacement,maximum stress,maximum strain and stress-strain curves.RESULTS:The tensile maximum load,maximum stress,maximum displacement and maximum strain in the normal control group and the model group were(12.754±2.795)N,(27.681±5.832)MPa,(2.754±0.707)mm,(11.679±2.373)%and (7.183±1.817)N,(16.162±3.403)MPa,(1.827±0.768)mm,(8.019±2.811)% respectively,from which we could see that each index in the normal control group was greater than that in the model group obviously (P＜0.05).CONCLUSION:The tensile maximum load,maximum stress,maximum displacement and maximum strain all decreased after OA,which indicates that osteoarthritis has certain effects on tensile mechanical properties of LCLs of knee joints as well as stress relaxation.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of astragalus polysaccharides(APS) combining with total ginsenoside (TG) on the proliferation of T cells in peripheral blood of healthy adults and on the immune function of mice after treatment with cyclophosphamide (CY) . METHODS: The proliferation rate of T cells in peripheral blood was detected by methyl thia-zolyl tetrazolium(MTT) colorimetric analysis; the weight of immune organs such as spleen and thymus etc. in mice were detected. RESULTS: The proliferation of T cells in human peripheral blood could be enhanced if the concentration of APS remained within 25-100?g/ml and that of TG remained within 5-20?g/ml; the proliferation rates were 102.3%-141.1% and 113.9%-163.1% , respectively; the figure stood at 262.3%-383.0% when APS and TG used in combination. Objective To study the clinical significance of using MSCT(16 multi slice spiral CT,MSCT)to evaluate the patency of coronary arterial stent,and to explore the factors contributing to the image quality.Methods 32 patients with coronary arterial stent im- plantation received MSCT.The shape and position of the stent and the situation of restenosis were checked with several methods.Of the 32 patients,the results in 7 cases were further verified by X-ray coronary artery angiography.The image qualities were classified in three grades.The influence factors contributing to imaging quality were analyzed.Results The rate of good image quality for MSCT coronary artery angiography was 87.5%(28/32).The rate of good image quality for the patients with heart rate less than 60 was 94.7%,for those with heart rate of 61-70 was 88.9%,and for those with heart rate over 70 was 50.0%,there existed significant differences(X~2=16.354, P
