2.Enhancing the value of biposy urease test by two biposy specimen collection in the diagnosis of H. pylori infection on peptic ulcer disease patient
Journal Ho Chi Minh Medical 2004;8(3):157-160
200 patients over 18 years old were diagnosed with peptic ulcer. Two specimens were taken on each patient: from the corpus and 1/3 andral, which were put into each urease test hole. The results were diagnosed with H. pylori infection with urease test by reading biopsyspecimen after 1 hour and 24 hours. With 83.5% patient having used drugs before endoscopy, the percentage of H. pylori (+) from the corpus and the antral specimen is significantly different (65% vs 68.5%) but using specimens from both sites increases significantly the H. pylori positivity from 65% to 78%

3.The role of imaging examination in diagnosis and management of renal trauma
Journal Ho Chi Minh Medical 2004;8(4):193-198
The generalization of some comments about the role of imaging examination in diagnosis of renal trauma as non-preparative adominal tomography: has less value in diagnosis of renal trauma but helps to detect metanephric duct stone. Intravenous urography (UIV): these imagings are main to evaluate the rest of renal function, prevention of cases of traumatic renal excision, has less value in diagnosis of renal trauma. Adominal ultrasound: to detect suggestive signs of internal haemorrhage due to solid viscera breaking in abdomen. CT scan has an important role, to help identifying with or without renal trauma, the level of renal lesions, with or without other viscera lesions. Renal angiography: to block selectively vessels to make haemostatic in some cases of haemorrhage due to renal trauma. MRI is recommended for patients with contraindication of absolute using contrast media

10.The Need for Conservation and Develpment of Medicinal plants in Quang Ngai Province
Journal of Medicinal Materials - Hanoi 2003;1():28-31
Medicinal plants play an important role in biodiversity research in Vietnam. The traditional Vietnamese medicine consists of Legitimate Traditional Medicine and Local Hereditary Medicine. The first one is in continual development, while the later one, which is the medicine of the ancient Viet people and the actual ethnic minority groups, is at risk of sinking into oblivion. The Local Hereditary Medicine should therefore at an early date be officially reconized and institutionalized. The investitation of plant resources, genetic conservation, cultivation technology, efficient use, etc... should be boosted toward a sustainable development of the ethno-medicinal plants
