1.HELLP sydrome in combining with blood congestion in broken sheath of liver
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;469(12):21-25
A 35 - year - old - pregnant woman suffering from HELLP syndrome with hematoma under broken liver was treated successfully. The diagnosis and treatment performed in time can save both the mother and the fetus. The critical collaboration between obstetrician, surgeon and physicians of resuscitation is necessary

2.The burden of cancer in Vietnam of the year 2000
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 1999;(9):19-26
It is estimated that there were 36,024 new cancer cases in male and 32,786 cases in females had been diagnosed in the country in this year. The cancers of lung, stomach and liver are the most common cancers in male. The cancers of breast, cervical uterus and stomach are the most common cancers in female. The cancer pattern in the country, though, is not homogeneously distributed. It is likely that the cancers of liver and cervix uteri are more common in the South than in the North while cancer of stomach and nasopharynx is more common in the North than in the South.

3.A case of cardiac rupture due to trauma after operation
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2000;(5):30-32
The study introduced a first survival case of cardiac rupture due to trauma operated in Viet Tiep Hospital. The patient was admitted to hospital by the initial diagnosis of shock, cranial trauma, and thoracic trauma. He immediately operated because of cardiac rupture. The examination after one month, one year demonstrated the perception and cardiovascular function were normal. The study also suggested some methods for operation of cardiac rupture, including incision along the xiphoid bone for cases with cardiac press, thoracic open in the side of apoplexy for cases of shock due to blood loss and pleural apoplexy.

4.Study on the inheritance of peptic ulcer diseases at Bach Mai Hospital
Journal of Medical Research 2002;20(4):15-23
The study was conducted on 240 peptic ulcers among 1320 hospitalized patients at the Gastro-Intestinal Department from January 2000 to December 2000, suing retrospective and pedigree method. The analysis on 4 generations of this group, including 171 persons in 29 branches, 42 families showed that the disease was vertically inherited through generations like autosomal dominant inheritance. The incidence was 46.77% (26/62 patients). Male to female ratio was 2:1 (24 males:12 females). 5.55% of patients (2/36) have disease on at 15 years old or less, 52.78% (19/36) of patients onset between 16 to 40 years. 11.11% onset at 40 years or more. 30.56% of patients (11/36) were not identified the onset of disease.

5.Surgical treatment of the avulsion of posterior cruciated ligament
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;261(7):23-25
248 cases of avulsion of posterior cruciate ligament treated with screw fixation.- The Trickey approach through the poplitear fossa to treat the avulsion of PCL is difficult and hazardous. - From 1991-1999 at CTO, 248 cases of avulsion of PCL were treated (169 men-79 women, age 13-60, traffic accident: 229 cases). In 232 cases, we used a simplified approach which was not transcrect the gastrocnemius or expose the neurovascular structures but only retracted the medical head of gastrocnemiers to expose the posterior capsule of the knee. This technique is very easy, safe and good rehabilitation

6.Some opinions of etiology, treatment and progress of hepatic coma in children, through 105 cases in the institute of pediatric
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):44-47
A study was carried out on 105 pediatric patients with hepatic coma in the national institute of pediatric during 1991-1995 has shown that the main cause of hepatic coma in children was acute hepatitis - hepatic failure, the treatment was not complete. It should limit the use of sedatives and antipyretic agents for pediatric patients with hepatic coma. The disease's progress was poor. The rate of remission and disease free was 4.7%. This rate in the group of acute hepatitis - hepatic failure induce coma was 1.23%.

7.Remarks on measles status in Northern Viet Nam, 1996-1997
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2000;10(4):20-25
The great reduction of measles incidence is directly attributed to a good routine coverage with measles vaccine in Northern Viet Nam from 1986 to 1997. We have some remarks on measles in 1996-1997: Measles has been reported in all provinces in the North of Viet Nam. Measles has occurred in all seasons but the peak has been in spring and the lowest incidence has been in summer and fall. Measles distribution by age has been changed. Most of the reported cases were from 5 to 14 years old. 69% of cases were not immunized

8.Verapamil and propranolol in the control of mild to moderate systemic hypertension
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 1999;2():26-30
The antihypertensive effects of verapamil and propranolol were evaluated in 62 patients with mild to moderate systemic hypertension. We also studied the change of 24 hours urinary catecholamines. 31 cases received verapamil and 31 others were treated by propranolol for 4 weeks. Before treating, there were no statistically significant differences (ECG, echocardiology, blood pressure...) noted between the two groups. Conclusions: 1) Blood pressure and heart rate were controlled by verapamil as well as by propranolol. 2) 24 hours urinary catecholamines were reduced by verapamil but not by propranolol

9.Preliminary study on the effects of Morinda citrifolia extract on the isolated blood vessels and water-electrolyte excretion
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;0(11):20-24
A study on the effects of Morinda citrifolia (MC) extract on the isolated blood vessels and water-electrolyte excretion by Lipschitz method. Results: MC in both concentrations of 1.25% and 2.5% had a vascular dilating effect of the rabbit ears without change vasoconstriction effect of adrenalin with concentration of 1/10 000. By oral administration, MC in doses of 0.3g, 0.6g and 0.9g/kg body weight increased the elimination of Na(+), K(+), Cl(-), but did not influence the elimination of Ca++ and urine amount at the rest time

10.Continue to study on influences of Morinda citrifolia L. Rubiaceae fruits on experimental animals immuno-suppressed by radiation
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;347(3):16-19
Study on the extract of Morinda citrifolia (MC) fruit with the ratio of 5:1 (1g extract was prepared from 5g of dried MC fruit) in order to determine the effects of extract on radiation-induced immunosuppressive mice. The results showed that: oral administration of this extract with daily dose of 6 g/kg in 9 consecutive days (3 days before and 6 days during receiving gamma ray) has increased the relative weight of spleen and thymus, total leukocyte count, number of lymphocytes, natural killers and monocytes, rate of immune rosette forming cells, hemolytic halo, and the skin test with OA antigen, compared with the mice group that has been only received gamma ray without drug
