Background:Small bowel capsule endoscopy(SBCE)has become a first-line procedure for examining small bowel diseases. Aims:To evaluate the diagnostic value of SBCE in patients with mid-gastrointestinal bleeding(MGIB). Methods:MGIB patients who underwent SBCE from Jan. 2012 to Dec. 2014 at the Third People’s Hospital of Bengbu were enrolled. Diagnostic value of SBCE in MGIB was analyzed. Re-bleeding was followed up by outpatient visit and telephone. Results:Forty-four consecutive MGIB patients underwent SBCE procedures, the detection rate was 95. 5% and the positive rate was 65. 9% . Vascular abnormality(37. 9% ),inflammation(31. 0% )and tumor(20. 7% )were the three major etiology in SBCE positive patients. Follow-up results showed that re-bleeding rate in SBCE positive group was significantly higher than in non-positive group(41. 4% vs. 13. 3% ,P < 0. 05). Conclusions:Vascular abnormality is still the most major etiology of MGIB,meanwhile the proportions of inflammation and tumor are increasing. SBCE has a high detection rate and positive rate in initial screening of MGIB,and the risk of re-bleeding in patients with negative SBCE is low.

Science of cardiac electrophysiology (EP), a most complicated professional branch of car-diovascular medicine, is composed of theoretical knowledge of EP, anatomical knowledge, catheter manipu-lation skills, and antiarrhythmic drug therapy. Longer growth period is involved in clinical cardiac EP physicians due to abstract and complicated electrophysiology knowledge. Starting with simple operation and case to stimulate students' interest in learning, this study focuses on the four teaching modules such as the theory of electrophysiology, the knowledge of anatomy, the skill of the operation of the catheter and the use of antiarrhythmic drugs. It also guides and trains students' simplified habit of thinking and independent thinking and induction learning ability, which improves the cardiac electrophysiologic doctors' efficiency of clinical practice.

Background:Combined double-balloon enteroscopy(DBE)plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with suspected small bowel bleeding(SSBB).Aims:To investigate the performance of combined DBE in patients with SSBB and their clinical features. Methods:A total of 94 patients with SSBB underwent combined DBE from June 2018 to April 2023 at the Third People's Hospital of Bengbu and the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University were enrolled, and the clinical features were analyzed.Results:Fifty-four SSBB patients completed the combined DBE,and the combination rate was 57.4%.Ten patients(10.6%)stopped combined DBE due to discovery of bleeding lesions.Five patients(5.3%)stopped combined DBE due to intestinal stenosis.Twenty-five patients(26.5%)stopped combined DBE due to difficulty in insertion.Combined DBE rate in SSBB patients was correlated with the combination time and the number of previous DBE for endoscopists(P<0.05),but not the gender, age, bleeding manifestations, tobacco smoking and alcohol drinking, nutritional risk, abdominal operation history, perianal lesions, autoimmune diseases, preoperative anemia, preoperative albumin level, and enteroscopy approach(P>0.05).ROC curve showed that when the cut-off value of first insertion depth was 385 cm,the sensitivity and specificity for successful combined DBE in SSBB patients were 72.2%and 77.5%,respectively,and the area under ROC curve was 0.800(95%CI:0.705-0.875,P<0.001).Conclusions:The combined DBE rate in SSBB patients is correlated with the combination time and the number of previous DBE for endoscopists.80%of the SSBB patients are expected to complete the combined DBE when the first insertion depth is greater than 385 cm.
5.AIDS discrimination in junior college students and the effect of AIDS knowledge on discrimination
Chinese Journal of School Health 2020;41(2):209-212
Objective:
To analyze the situation of AIDS knowledge and discrimination among freshmen in Chengdu city, and to explore possible effects of AIDS knowledge on discrimination.
Methods:
A cluster random sampling was employed to investigate 1 053 college students from 11 universities in Chengdu about their HIV/AIDS knowledge and discrimination. The scores of AIDS knowledge and discrimination of students with different characteristics were analyzed, and the influence path of AIDS knowledge on AIDS discrimination were further analyzed based on different peer relationships.
Results:
The total scores of AIDS knowledge was negatively correlated to AIDS discrimination( r s =-0.13, P <0.01). After adjusting for confounding factors, the total score of AIDS knowledge was associated with the total score of AIDS discrimination( β =-0.12, P <0.01). AIDS knowledge played a role in AIDS discrimination in intimate, general and unfamiliar peer relationships, with standardized path coefficients of -0.20, -0.24 and -0.18 respectively( P <0.01).
Conclusion
AIDS knowledge are correlated with discrimination among freshmen under different peer relationships. More anti-AIDS discrimination courses should be added to AIDS education to reduce the students’ fear and stigma of HIV/AIDS patients and related risk groups.

Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2023;28(1):36-39
Background: The widespread use of biological agents in recent years can improve the nutritional status of partial patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and change the course of the disease. Aims: To investigate the correlation between the nutritional risk and clinical and endoscopic features in CD patients treated with biological agents. Methods: Sixty⁃eight CD patients treated with biological agents from June 2021 to June 2022 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University were enrolled. Nutritional risk screening was conducted by nutritional risk screening 2002 (NRS2002), and its correlation with clinical and endoscopic features was analyzed. Results: In 68 CD patients treated with biological agents, incidence of nutritional risk was 66.2%. There was statistically significant difference in incidence of nutritional risk in patients with different disease behaviors, SES⁃CD score and postoperative Rutgeerts score (all P<0.05). The incidence of nutritional risk was not correlated with age, lesion location, perianal lesion, CDAI score, and the interval between CD diagnosis and the use of biological agents (all P>0.05). Conclusions: The incidence of nutritional risk is high in CD patients treated with biological agents, and is correlated with CD disease behavior, SES ⁃ CD score, and postoperative Rutgeerts score.

Objective:To evaluate the application of the standard of "Delimitation and Classification of Keshan Disease Areas" (GB 17020-2010, Standard for short), learn about the applicability of its technical indicators and requirements, and provide a basis for revision of the Standard. Methods:In March 2022, provinces with severe epidemic areas of Keshan disease or new cases reported in recent years were selected, including Gansu Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shandong Province, Shaanxi Province, Yunnan Province, Shanxi Province, Liaoning Province, and Chongqing City. Multi-stage stratified sampling method and questionnaire survey were adopted to collect information on the application of Standard by relevant health institutions. Results:A total of 448 questionnaires were collected, including 445 valid. The survey results showed that 87.64% (390/445) of the respondents were aware of the Standard, and 64.72% (288/445) had received training on the Standard. Eighty-two point two per cent (365/445) of the respondents believed that the Standard was simple and easy to operate, 83.82% (373/445) believed that the determination of the diseased townships was scientific and reasonable, and could be effectively implemented, and 83.60% (372/445) believed that the determination of historical epidemic areas was applicable to the current situation of Keshan disease; 38.88% (173/445), 38.20% (170/445), and 37.98% (169/445) of the respondents believed that the classification indicators for classifying epidemic areas (severe, moderate, and mild epidemic areas) were not applicable to the current situation of the disease in the local or provinces with Keshan disease, respectively. Among the indicators for epidemic areas classification, 30.79% (137/445), 29.21% (130/445), and 28.54% (127/445) of the respondents thought that the annual prevalence, the annual number of new cases and the annual incidence were most suitable for classification of Keshan disease areas. Conclusions:The Standard has been applied well in practice. However, based on the current situation of Keshan disease, it is suggested to redefine the standard for the severity of the disease and the classification of historical epidemic areas.
