Objective To compare the immediate effects of extracorporeal shock wave therapy with that of joint mobilization plus short wave therapy in treating scapulohumeral periarthritis, and to elucidate the mechanism of extracorporeal shock wave therapy and how it should be used. Methods Forty-seven patients diagnosed with scapulohumeral periarthritis were selected and randomized into two groups, a treatment group (n = 26) treated with extracorporeal shock wave therapy, and a control group ( n = 21 ) treated with joint mobilization plus short wave therapy. The short form of the McGill pain questionnaire (SF-MPQ) and range of motion (ROM) measurements were used to evaluate shoulder function. Results Compared with baseline, both groups improved significantly af-ter treatment, but the immediate effect in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group. Concln-sions As a safe, time-saving and effective therapy, extracorpnreal shock waves could be used to treat scapulo-humeral periarthritis.

Objective To study the effect of lipoteichoic acid(LTA) of Bifidobacterium on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and invasion and metastasis of colon carcinoma cell lines. Methods The effects of LTA on adhesion, invasion and metastasis of human colon carcinoma lines LoVo and HT-29 in vitro were examined by MTT colorimetric and transwell chamber. The mRNA and protein expressions of VEGF in the two colon carcinoma cells treated with LTA were detected by RT-PCR and Western blot. Results The adhesion ability decreased in LoVo cells and HT-29 cells after the treatment of LTA(20,50,80 ?g/ml) for 30,60,90,120 min(P

Objective Observation of 2 diabetic patients with insulin homocysteine(Hcy) levels before and after treatment ,to explore new diagnosis of diabetes patients with blood glucose control for the effect Hcy .Methods Extracted from 128 cases accord with standard of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients ,randomly divided into control group and strengthen group ,64 cases each . Give control group oral sulfonylureas .To observe group use insulin intensive therapy .In the three months after treatment compared two groups before and after treatment of FBG ,HbA1c indicators related to change .Results All patients after treatment ,Hcy , FBG ,PBG ,HbA1c have decreased ,and Hcy in strengthen group decreased more obviously than in control group ,the difference was statistically significant level changes(P<0 .05) .Conclusion Insulin intensive therapy can be effective in the treatment of newly di‐agnosed type 2 diabetes .

Objective To explore the expression and function of miR-125b, miR-30b and miR-424 in endometrial cells. Methods Human endometrial samples were obtained in natural cycles and stimulating cycles. Endometrial epithelial cells (EECs) and endometrial stromal cells (ESCs) were isolated and confirmed by immunofluorescence. The expressions of miR-125b, miR-30b and miR-424 were detected by real-time PCR. Results The expression levels of miR-125b, miR-30b and miR-424 were higher in proliferative phase in ESCs than those in EECs. And in EECs, the expression levels of miR-125b, miR-30b and miR-424 were significantly up-regulated in secretory phase than in proliferative phase, while it was stable in ESCs. In addition, the expressions of miR-125b in EECs and miR-30b were increased in ESCs in women with elevated progesterone on the day of HCG administration than those of the control. The target genes of miR-125b, miR-30b and miR-424 mainly participated in cell migration and motion, cell-cell adherens junction and Wnt signaling pathway. Conclusion miR-125b, miR-30b and miR-424 were differently expressed in endometrial cells in different phases, and may participate in regulation of endometrial receptivity.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2014;30(6):491-494
Objective To determine the effect of moderate hypothermia on coagulation in patients with severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI) and investigate the clinical significance of thrombelastogram (TEG) monitoring. Methods Seventy-five patients with sTBI were randomly assigned to hypothermia group (conventional treatment + moderate hypothermia within 24 hours posttrauma,n =38) and control group (conventional treatment alone,n =38).TEG aided in monitoring coagulation function by measuring clot reaction time (R),clot formation time (K),clotting rate (α),maximal amplitude (MA),and percent fibrinolysis at 30 minutes after MA (LY30).Meantime,the intracranial pressure, vital signs, blood gas values, and blood electrolytes were also measured.Outcome was evaluated by using Glasgow outcome scale (GOS).Results The two groups were similar on admission with respect to R,K,α,MA,and LY30 (P > 0.05),but the coagulation index in hypothermia group was significantly different from that in control group at days 1,2,3 and 7 posttreatment (P < 0.05).Moreover,moderate hypothermia therapy demonstrated decrease of intraeranial pressure (P < 0.01),with no severe complications, low mortality and improved outcome in comparison with control group. Conclusion Moderate hypothermia improves the hypercoagulability in patients with sTBI without increasing the risk of hyperfibrinolysis and protects brain tissue by decreasing intracranial pressure.
