Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 1993;0(01):-
Objective: To study the relationships among attributional style, self-efficacy and subjective well-being(SWB). Methods: 269 college students participated the study. Attributional Style Questionnaire , Self-efficacy Questionnaire and Subjective Well-being(SWB) Questionnaire were applied to the college students. Results: ① Attributional style predicated SWB, but three dimensions (internality-externality; whole-part; controllability-uncontrollability)of negative events were significant negative predicators of SWB. ② Self-efficacy was a significant positive predicator of SWB. ③ There were no differences in SWB between sexes and specialities. ④ There were significant differences in SWB between students with different self-efficacy levels, and the SWB of high self-efficacy group was better than that of the low self-efficacy group. Conclusion: College students'attributional style and self-efficacy impact their subjective well-being.Educators should cultivate students's positive attributional style and enhance their self-efficacy.

Objective To investigate the protective effect and mechanisms of NF-?B decoy oli- godeoxynucleotides(ODNs)on rat liver graft following ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods Ani- mals were randomly divided into 3 groups(n=8 in each group):control group,ischemia-reperfusion (IR)group, and decoy ODNs group,in which donor grafts were transfected with 120?g NF-?B decoy ODNs before graft procurement.Following 2 h of reperfusion,Kupffer cells(KCs)were isolated, and NF-?B biding activity was detected with electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA),and TNF-?、IL- 6 mRNA expression was assayed by using RT-PCR method.Meanwhile, the liver and serum samples were collected, the histopathologic change of liver was examined by light microscope, and liver func- tion was analyzed. Results The NF-?B biding activity,TNF-?,IL-6 mRNA expression, and the ALT,TBIL levels in serum were significantly increased following 2 h of reperfusion in IR group as compared with those in control group(P<0.01).A large amount of degeneration and necrosis in hep- atocytes accompanied with obvious congestion in hepatic sinusoid occurred. However, these tested in- dexes were significantly ameliorated in decoy ODNs group as compared with those in IR group(P<0.01),and the architecture of hepatic lobules was remained. Conclusions KCs NF-?B activation fol- lowing reperfusion plays an important role in IRI in liver transplantation.Decoy strategy shows appar- ent effect on suppression of NF-?B activation, and thus inhibits the production of downstream cyto- kines, which protects the liver graft from IRI.

[Objective] To investigate the biological characteristics of Wharton’[KG-38x]s jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells (WJMSCs) and their differentiation into Schwann cell-like cells, and to provide a new cell seed source for nerve tissue engineering or cell therapy. [Methods]Umbilical arteries, veins and umbilical cord tunica externa were removed , and the remaining tissue (Wharton’[KG-38x]s jelly) was harvested. The umbilical cord was cut into small fragments and cultured with DMEM in orderto gather. Cultured WJMSCs were confirmed by the detection of MSC-specific cell-surface markers. WJMSCs were differentiated along a glial cell lineage using an established cocktail of growth factors. Immunocytochemical staining and Western blot were used to evaluate the characteristics of differentiated WJMSCs.[Results]WJMSCs were immunonegative for the haemopoietic cell-surface markers (CD34 and CD45) and neural stem cell marker (nestin), and immunopositive for MSC surface markers CD44, CD105, Stro-1 and vimentin. WJMSCs treated with a mixture of glial growth factors adopted a spindle-like morphology similar to Schwann cells. Immunocytochemical staining and Western blot analysis revealed that the treated cells expressed the glial markers p75 and glial fibrillary acidic protein indicative of differentiation.[Conclusion]WJMSCs can be differentiated into the cells that are Schwann-like in terms of morphologic features and phenotype and may be suitable as Schwann-cell substitutes for nerve repair in clinical application.

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 1992;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate the effect of 3-dimmentional conformal radiotherapy (3-DCRT) for mediastinal metastasis from esophageal carcinoma after surgery. Methods Sixty-three such patients were treated by 3-DCRT. Tumor diameter was: cm 20 patients. Positive supraclavicular lymph node was found in 9 patients. The number of tumor at the upper right, upper left and upper median mediastinum was 27, 27 and 20. All patients received 3-DCRT to the dose of 40?Gy (2?Gy/f, 5f/w), after resetting of portals, the dose was boost to 64~70?Gy by 3?Gy/f, 5f/w. Dose of the patients who had been irradiated was boosted to 50?Gy without further positioning. Results Complete response rate and partial response rate were 43% and 48% one month after the treatment was concluded, with no progression of disease. The 1-, 2- and 3-year survival rates were 75%, 43% and 15%. Conclusions Three-dimmentional conformal radiotherapy, with little side-effects, can markedly improve the local control rate and suvival rate of patients with mediastinal metastasis from esophageal carcinoma after surgery.
