The characteristics of medical and health literature novel assessment in institutions of armed forces were described from the secrecy of projects for literature novelty assessment , the limitations of consignee institution , and the non-profitability of literature novelty assessment agency .The major problems of medical and health literature novel assessment in institutions of armed forces were elaborated in terms of the literacy, instability, competency and knowledge limitation of literature novel assessment staff with suggestions put forward for their solution such as strengthening the construction of talent team, joint development and sharing of resources.

Objective: To measure the expression of E cadherin (E cad) and ? catenin (CTN) in transitional cell carcinomas (TCC) of bladder and to study the relationship between the expression and biological behavior of the carcinoma. BACKGROUND:Ilizarov technique is an effective treatment method which can solve various complications that occurred in the process of treatment, especial y for the treatment of nonunion associated with soft tissue defects or severe infection. OBJECTIVE:To review the research progress of nonunion treatment with the Ilizarov technique. METHODS:A computer-based search was performed on the CNKI database and PubMed database from January 1992 to April 2013 for the articles related to the Ilizarov technology for the treatment of nonunion. The key words of“nonunion, external fixator, Ilizarov”in English and“nonunion, fracture nonunion, external fixation, Ilizarov”in Chinese were used to search the articles in the title and the abstract. Final y, a total of 37 articles were included to review. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Ilizarov technique is an effective method to treat limbs nonunion with the infection and severe bone defect. It has become an international y recognized gold standard. Due to the firmly fixation of the Ilizarov ring external fixator, it can not only eliminate the shear force and rotation stress, thus playing a role of stretch tension and compression, but also has the cyclical micro-axialmotion characteristic during weight-bearing walking which can better promote bone union. Based on the reviews of the research progress of Ilizarov technique in the treatment of nonunion in recent years, we further investigate the advantages and methods of Ilizarov technique in the treatment of limbs nonunion. The clinical application of the method should fol ow the individual principle, and then choose the best and suitable method based on the analysis of advantages and disadvantages about the patient’s condition.

Objective:To investigate the effect of EPO on humoral and cellular immunity and the monocyte antigen presenting function in patients with chronic renal failure(CRF).Methods:60 patients with CRF were divided into three groups.Group A patients accepted hemodialysis and treated with EPO.Group B patients treated with EPO and didn't accept hemodialysis.Group C patients didn't accept EPO treatment and hemodialysis.After 8 weeks treatment,the subpopulations of T lymphocyte were analyzed with detected by flow cytometry analysis method;Immunoglobulins were measured with radioactive immuntzation method.In addition,the infection rate of patients with CRF in every group was compared.Results:The parameters of immune functions of patients with CRF were comparable between groups before treatment.After treated with EPO for 8 weeks,RBC numbers and Hb were significantly increased in patients of group A and group B,but not in patients of group C.IgG and IgA were increased in patients of groups A and groups B and have statistic differences as compared with that in patients of group C(P

Objective:To compare the effect of fluorescence staining and periodic acid-Schiff staining in the diagnosis of fungal keratitis (FK).Methods:A total of 147 corneal specimens from 147 FK patients treated in Eye Hospital of Shandong First Medical University from January 2017 to May 2019 with positive corneal scraping or fungal culture were collected.Among them, there were 84 cases with penetrating keratoplasty (PKP), 42 cases with lamellar keratoplasty (LKP) and 21 cases with lesion resection.Another 11 cases with herpes simplex virus keratitis served as negative control.The corneal tissue specimens were performed with fungal fluorescence staining and periodic acid-Schiff staining, respectively.The stained sections were placed under fluorescence microscope and optical microscope to observe fungal hyphae or spores, respectively.The positive rates of the two staining methods were compared, and the positive cases of the diagnosis of FK in corneal tissue samples obtained by different surgical methods and corneal infection caused by different strains of the two staining methods were compared.Written informed consent was obtained from each patient.The study protocol adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the Ethics Committee of Shandong Eye Hospital (No.SDSYKYY-2016012).Results:The positive rate of periodic acid-Schiff staining and fungal fluorescence staining was 60.5% (89/147) and 79.6% (117/147), respectively.The positive rate of fluorescence staining in the diagnosis of fungal keratitis was significantly higher than that of periodic acid-Schiff staining ( χ2=28.00, P<0.01), and both the specificity of the two staining methods was 100%.The positive rate of specimens obtained by PKP with fluorescent staining was 85.7% (72/84), and the positive rate with periodic acid-Schiff staining was 65.5% (55/84), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=17.00, P<0.01). The positive rate of specimens obtained by LKP with fluorescent staining was 71.4% (30/42), and the positive rate with periodic acid-Schiff staining was 52.4% (22/42), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=8.00, P<0.01). The positive rate of resected foci specimens with fluorescent staining was 71.4% (15/21), and the positive rate with periodic acid-Schiff staining was 57.1% (12/21), and the difference was not statistically significant ( χ2=1.30, P=0.25). The positive cases of two kinds of staining were different among different fungal strains.Among them, the positive cases of Fusarium solani complex, Pythium insidiosum, Aspergillus fumigatus complex, Candida guilliermondii, Trichoderma and Nigrograna mackinnonii with fluorescence staining were 19, 5, 5, 1, 1 and 1, and the positive cases of periodic acid-Schiff staining were 11, 0, 3, 0, 0 and 0, respectively.The staining results of the 11 negative controls were negative. Conclusions:Fluorescence staining is more sensitive than periodic acid-Schiff staining in the detection of fungal components in paraffin-embedded corneal tissues, and it can significantly improve the fungal detection rates.

Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of intranasal administration. Compared with the other administration routes, intranasal administration has the benefits of fast absorption, high bioavailability, high brain-targeting and non-invasive. In the past few years we take "Xingnaojing" and "Tongqiao Sanyu formula" as model drug and studied pharmacokinetics of effective components of different polarities. MDCK/MDCK-MDR1 cells were used to simulate blood brain barrier to study the permeate behaviors of different drug and the mechanism of enhancing effects of aromatic medicine. Then a microemulsion (modified by mPEG2000-PLA) was prepared for intranasal administration, and the pharmacokinetics and investigated tissue distribution were studied by fluorescence imaging. The irritation of the drug and different preparations were studied on human nasal epithelial cell (HNEC) cell and living animals. In this paper, we reviewed the achievements and hope that it can provide constructive suggestions for the future research.

Objective To investigate the relationship of smoking, the gene polymorphisms of heine oxygenase-1, tumor necrosis factor-α, and human β-defensin-1 with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods A case-control study was held to compare the genotype frequency distribution of heine oxygenase-1, tumor necrosis factor-α, human β-defensin-1 by PCR -RFLP method and to analyze the relationship among them. Results The L allele gene frequency of heine oxygenase-1 was 23.44% in COPD group and 10.71% in control group with significant difference(P＜0.05). The heterogenesis gene frequency of tumor necrosis factor-α in COPD group and control group were 18. 24% and 7.53% (P＜0.01). The heterogenesis gene frequency of human β-defensin-1 was 14.28% in COPD group and 5.00% in control group with significant difference(P＜0. 01). Conclusions Smoking is a risk factor for COPD. Genetic polymorphisms of heme oxygenase-1, tumor necrosis factor-α, human β-defensin-1 are related with the development of COPD.

Objective To study the characteristics of liver injury induced by simvastatin combined with HRZ (Isoniazid,Rifampicin and Pyrazinamide) in SD rats.Methods Fifty-four 8-week-old SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:group A (control),group B (HRZ) and group C (simvastatin combined to HRZ),half of each group were male.We calculated the accurate dose respectively before those rats were given intragastrical administration of corresponding drugs.Six rats were killed in each group on 10th,20th and 40th day,respectively.Before this,blood was fastened from femoral of every rat that would be killed to test liver function,liver tissue slices were made in order to observe the pathological characteristic.Results Alanine amiotransferase of group C elevated in line with time and reached statistic difference on 40th day,furthermore,it was significantly higher than group A (P＜0.05).Total bilirubin and direct Bilirubin of group C were significantly higher than those of group A from the beginning to the end (P＜0.05),however,they declined rapidly on 10th day,this trend also had statistic difference (P＜0.05) At the end of this experiment,hepatic cords was disordered slightly,but swelling liver cells and vacuolar degeneration were observed,the nuleus of cell condensed.Soakage of monocytes,neutrophils,and lymphocytes occurred in the portal and lobule regions,or even spotty necrosis occasionally.Conclusion Cholestasis occurs at the early stage when simvastatin is combined with HRZ in SD rats,however,it has a rapidly degressive trend.In contrast,Alanine amiotransferase elevates,furthermore,pathological injury or even spotty necrosis can emerge in liver tissue slices.

Splenic arteriovenous fistula is a rare disease and is also easy to be misdiagnosed.Clinical manifestations of the splenic arteriovenous fistula include portal hypertension,esophageal gastric varices,gastro-intestinal bleeding,diarrhea,abdominal pain,ascites,dyspnoea and heart failure.One patient with splenic arteriovenous fistula after splenectomy was treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from April to May in 2014.The patient was cured successfully by percutaneous transarterial embolization and celiac arteriography with the aid of interventional radiology.Hepatic and renal functions of the patient got a normal condition combined with a missing of the ascites and portal hypertension by abdominal enhanced computed tomography at postoperative month 2.
