Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(10):-
Objective To assess the contribution of the portable chest computed radiography (CR) in evaluation of monitoring devices of the patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Methods One hundred and sixty-two cases with 387 chest radiographs in the ICU were analysed retrospectively. The location of the catheters of monitoring devices and complications were observed. Results The malposition of the catheters was detected in 47 cases(16.9%),including the endotracheal (ET) tubes too deep at the position, the central venous catheters placed into the internal jugular veins, and the position of the thoracic drain tubes to be deep not enough causing the drain to fall. The complications after operation of monitoring devices were not common, including pneumothorax caused by ventilatory assistance, atelectasis and pneumonia caused by malposition of the ET tubes, totally in 11 cases.10 cases with cardiopulmonary abnormalities were discovered accidentally in all 162 cases(6.2%) when evaluation of monitoring devices. Conclusion Bedside chest CR not only can show the catheter position and the complications of the monitoring devices ,but also the cardiopulmonary abnormalities of patients in the ICU.

The Qinghai⁃Tibet Plateau is known as one of the highest endemic areas of echinococcosis However, the dog infection rates of Echinococcus granulosus in the plateau regions were similar to other non⁃Tibetan areas with the high endemic, and most of the rates were below 40%. The infected dogs with E. multilocularis were ubiquitous in Ganzi Prefecture of Sichuan Province and Qinghai Province where many survey data were done and available, which was much different from those in non⁃Ti⁃betan areas where the geographical distribution of dogs infected with E. multilocularis was sporadic. The total infection rates of Echinococcus in dogs kept stable from 1983 to 2009 in Ganzi Prefecture of Sichuan Province and did not show much variation from 2000 to 2014 in Qinghai Province as well. Since 2006,the national comprehensive prevention and control strategy and mea⁃
sures against echinococcosis have been launched in China, and significant progress has been made. In the endemic Tibetan area of Sichuan, the general Echinococcus infection rates in dogs were 28.10%,15.87%,19.22%,3.28% and 1.11% from 2009 to 2013,respectively,and the Echinococcus coproantigen⁃positive rate in Gannan Prefecture of Gansu Province and parts of Qing⁃
hai Province also decreased. This paper reviews the literature on the characteristics of dog infections in the Qinghai⁃Tibetan Plateau,so as to provide useful information to support echinococcosis control and prevention there.

Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1995;0(03):-
Objective: To analyze the circulating endothelial cells (CECs) and circulating endothelial precursors (CEPs) in peripheral blood of tumor patients. Methods: CECs and CEPs were enumerated in 57 tumor patients and 15 healthy controls by 3-color flow cytometry. The serum level of angiogenesis related cytokines(VEGF, bFGF)was determined by ELISA method. Results: In tumor patients, mean value of CECs and CEPs was (0.378?0.047)% and (0.059?0.013)% respectively. The serum level of VEGF and bFGF were (295.58?59.56) ng/L and (28.73?7.40) ng/L. The amount of CECs/CEPs positively correlated with the serum level of VEGF and bFGF. Conclusions: The CECs/CEPs and serum level of VEGF and bFGF of tumor patients was higher than those of normal controls. VEGF and bFGF may participate into the course of endothelial progenitors mobilization.
