1. Screening of the effective cellulose-degradable strain and its application in the production of cellulose bioethanol
Academic Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University 2009;21(3):184-188
Strains from the cellulose-containing environment were collected. Primary screening (by filter-paper Hutchison solid culture medium and sodium carboxymethylcellulose solid culture medium) and reelection(by filter-paper inorganic salt culture medium and sodium carboxymethylcellulose Congo red culture medium) indicated that five strains obtained were best suited for high performance cellulose degradation. Determination of sodium carboxymethylcellulose activity(CMCA) and filter paper activity(FPA) was accomplished for each of the five. The strongest of the five in CMCA and FPA was applied to the production of cellulose bioethanol by separate hydrolysis and fermentation(SHF) and simultaneous saccharification and fermentation(SSF) respectively.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2012;18(12):1141-1143
Objective To explore the effect of early screening and psychotherapy on post stroke depression. Methods 80 patients with stroke at first onset were assessed with Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD-17). Patients with depression were divided into control group (n=21) and intervention group (n=21). Both groups received rehabilitation therapy and the intervention group received psychotherapy in addition. They were assessed with HAMD again 2 months after treatment. All of them were evaluated with modified Barthel index (MBI). Results 52.5% patients had post stroke depression. The score of HAMD-17 was lower in the intervention group than in the control group (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in MBI between 2 groups after treatment (P>0.05). Conclusion Early screening and psychotherapy can facilitate the recovery of patients with depression after stroke.

Objective To localize the upper airway obstruction of patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS)with the Cinema Magnetic Resonance(Cine-MR) and fiber optic laryngoscope with Müller maneuver(FLMM)before operation and discuss the clinical application values. Methods Before operation, FLMM and Cine-MR were applied to 22 patients diagnosed as OSAHS by Polysomnography(PSG).Medical examinations conducted in this study from September 2015 to April 2016 to examine the obstruction of the soft palate region, the lingual region and epiglottis. Results There were complete agreements between the Cine-MR and FLMM at locating obstruction sites of the soft palate (n=22/n=22),and there were moderate agreements between the Cine-MR and FLMM in locating obstruction sites of the retroglottal region(n=13/n=6),epiglottal region (n=4/n=2)and multiple level(n=13/n=6), respectively. Conclusion For those moderate and severe OSAHS patients with multiple sites obstruction , the preoperative application of the Cine-MR and FLMM together will be better in locating the obstruction sites.

The objective of the present study was to establish a method based on principal component analysis (PCA) for the study of transdermal delivery of Chinese medicinal formulae, and to choose the best penetration enhancers for Qingfei Xiaocuo gel depend on this method. Using improved Franz type diffusion cell and excised rat skin in vitro as transdermal barrier, the receptive solution fingerprint was established by HPLC, harvesting the areas of the common peaks in the fingerprint, then the total factor scores of the concentrations at different times were calculated using PCA and were employed instead of the concentrations to compute the cumulative amounts (Q12) and enhancement ratio (ER), the latter of which were considered as the indexes for optimizing penetration enhancers. Compare to the control group, the ER of the other groups increased significantly and furthermore, 2.5% azone with 2.5% menthol manifested the best effect. PCA represent most information in the receptive solution, the method above could choose the best penetration enhancers, it could be a reference for the study of transdermal delivery of Chinese medicinal formulae.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2010;33(23):9-10
Objective To evaluate the effects of chest wall reconstruction after tumor resection patients with chest wall defect. Methods From March 1999 to August 2008,28 patients with chest wall tumor underwent chest wall reconstruction. The number of rib resected was 3-6. Twenty-one huge chest wall defects underwent chest wall reconstruction using titanium alloy steel artificial rib. The materials for the soft tissue reconstruction include latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap. Results No died of operation, postoperative respiratory function was good, no abnormal breathing exercises. Concurrent osseous tissue repair and rebuilt in 3 cases, the fluid recovered after conservative therapy. Followed-up 8-76 months,2 cases were lost, follow-up rate was 92.9% ,4 cases with benign tumor existed 7.8,7.2,5.4 and 3.6 years, 22 cases with malignant tumor after 1, 3, 5 years survival rate were 77.3% (17/22) ,63.2% (12/19),41.2% (7/17) respectively. Conclusion A favorable clinical outcome can be achieved by titanium alloy steel artificial rib reconstruction of chest wall.

Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2017;48(3):282-288
The purpose of this study was to synthesize and evaluate the necrosis target of MRI contrast agent based on rhein. The novel ligand 10-{ [6-(1,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone-3-carboxamido) hexyl] amino} acetyl-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecan-1,4,7-triacetic acid (DO3A-rhein) was synthesized by two-step acylation and two-step deprotection. The paramagnetic contrast agent gadolinium 10-{ [6-(1,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone-3-carboxamido) hexyl] amino} acetyl-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecan-1,4,7-triacetate (Gd-DO3A-rhein) was obtained by coordination of Gd3+ with the synthesized ligand. Its necrosis affinity was evaluated by liver infarction and muscular necrosis on rat models. The MRI was performed before administration of Gd-DO3A-rhein and during 0 h to 12 h after administration of Gd-DO3A-rhein (0.1 mmol/kg),respectively,and Gd-DOTA was used as control. After MRI scanning, rats were sacrificed and necrotic tissues were stained using triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) and hematoxylin-eosin (HE).MRI images of liver infarction and muscular necrosis on rat models showed significantly enhanced signal intensity compared with normal tissues. The contrast ratios of necrotic liver/normal liver were 1.61 ±0.14 and 2.36 ±0.20 at 3 h and 12 h postinjection of Gd-DO3A-rhein (0.1 mmol/kg) respectively, demonstrating a significant difference compared with pre-administration of Gd-DO3A-rhein (1.16 ±0.10;P < 0.05).The same results were obtained from necrotic muscles. These findings suggested that Gd-DO3A-rhein possessed the necrosis target and imaging capability of necrotic tissues.

AIM: To study dynamically the effect on the rabbits after fine carbon fiber powder was transplanted into their cranium. METHODS: After fine carbon fiber powder was injected into subdural cavity of rabbits, examination of histopathology and EEG were carried out. RESULTS: General observation: 1-104 weeks after injecting, no neuropathological changes concerning with the injecting of the carbon fiber powder were found in the rabbits of experimental group; Under optical microscopes: 1-2 weeks after injecting, slight inflammatory reaction in meninx was found and disappeared generally 4 weeks after injecting, no obvious fiber membrane was found around the carbon fiber, no significant differences were showed between the experimental group (EG) and the control group (CG); Examination of EEG: 1-2 weeks after injecting, slight abnormal changes of EEG in both two groups were showed, but no significant differences was found between them. 4 weeks after injecting, the EEG of the two groups was restored to their normal state before injecting. 1-8 weeks after injecting, no obvious epilepsy waves were showed. CONCLUSION: The fine carbon fiber powder showed excellent histocompatibility after injected into the subdural cavity of rabbits.
