Acta Anatomica Sinica 2002;0(06):-
Objective To observe the association of vesicular glutamate transporter of typeⅠ (VGluT1 ) like immunoreactive(LI) ,the differentiation-associated Na+ dependent inorganic phosphate cotransporter(DNPI) LI and glutami cacid decarboxy lase(GAD) LI terminals with GABAA receptor ?3 subunit(GABAAR ?3) LI neurons in mesencephalic trige minal nucleus of the rat. Methods Triple immun of luorescencehis to chemical staining technique and confo call aser scanning micros copy were used. Results Alargenumber of neuronal cell bodies showed GABAA R?3 LI immunoreactivity atallrostrocaudal level softhe Vme ,and most of GABAAR ?3 LI cells were large (2 5 5 0 ?m)pseudouni polarneurons. The dense VGluT1 LI,DNPL LI and GAD LIterminal sdistri buted widelyin Vme ,some VGlu T1 DNPI LI and GAD LIterminals surrounded the somata of the GABAAR ?3 LI Vmeneurons ,and made close contacts with them .Conclusion Proprioceptive sensory signals from the or of acialregionmight be modulated at the level of the primary afferent cell bodies in the Vme both by glutamatergic and GABAergic axonal terminals from other brain areas, and the effect of GABAergic terminals might be mediated by post synaptical GABAA receptors .

3.Recent Advances in Biological Control of Pest Insects by Using Viruses in China
Virologica Sinica 2007;22(2):158-162
Insect viruses are attractive as biological control agents and could be a feasible alternative to chemical insecticides in the management of insect infestations. This review describes recent advances in the development of wild-type and genetically modified viruses as insecticides. A new strategy of application of insect viruses in China is reviewed. Also, the assessment of biosafety of genetically modified Helicoverpa armigera Nucleopolyhedovirus (HearNPV) is emphasized as a case-study.

Objective To explore surgical techniques and clinical effects of arthroscopic absorbable interference screw fixation and four-stranded hamstring tendon autograft for the reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Methods Forty-two patients with rupture of the ACL were operated on by arthroscopic four-stranded hamstring tendons autograft reconstruction using SR-PLLA absorbable screw fixation. Results Follow-up for 3~22 months (mean, 11 4 months) in all 42 patients showed normal motion range of knee joint. Postoperative Lachman test revealed ≤1+ in 37 patients, 2+ in 4 patients and 3+ in 1 patient. All patients showed an absent pivot shift. Postoperative Lysholm score was 89 7?9 6 points, which had increased significantly as compared with the preoperative score (49 4?9 1 points; t =2 12, P =0 038). Postoperative Tegner activity grading scale was 5 3?1 1 points, which was significantly higher than the preoperative one (2 3?0 7 points; t =4 13, P =0 008). MRI examination at first postoperative year showed that absorbable interference screws were partly absorbed in 29 patients, and reconstructed ligaments were in good position and normal in shape in 27 patients. The tendon grafts were anchored on the femur a little too more to the front side in 2 patients, and on the tibia a little too more to the front side in 3 patients, with slight impingement phenomena. Conclusions In ACL reconstruction, four-stranded hamstring tendon is an ideal graft material and absorbable interference screw is optimal for internal fixation.

Objective: To evaluate the prevention of postexodontic complications by oral tissue patch embedded in socket after tooth extraction. Methods:200 patients with impacted mandibular third molar were divided into two groups at random with 100 in each group. In group 1 the oral tissue patch was put into the sockets after tooth extraction. Group 2 was the blank control.Postexodontic complications of the two groups were observed after treatment. Results:Dry socket (DS) incidence rate in group 1 and 2 was 1% and 8%(P

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(04):-
Objective Micronucleus test(MNT) was used to evaluate the single and combined genotoxicity of dichlorvos(DDVP),dimethoate(DM) and malathion(Mal) in HepG2 cell line, and 2?2 factorial design was adopted to elucidate the combined genotoxic effects. Methods In cytotoxicity test,HepG2 cells were exposed to the three OPPs(DDCP,DM,Mal) for 4 h respectively, and the doses at which cell viability above 80% were selected for the MNT,DDVP:3.125-25 ?g/ml,DM:25-200 ?g/ml,Mal:50400 ?g/ml,the micronucleated cell(MNC) rates and the replicative index(RI) were calculated. The combined genotoxicity of them was investigated with their doses as follows:low dose(DDVP:3.125 ?g/ml,DM:25 ?g/ml,Mal:50 ?g/ml);high dose(DDVP:12.5 ?g/ml,DM:100 ?g/ml,Mal:200 ?g/ml).Results In MNT,after treatment of HepG2 cells with DDVP,DM or Mal alone for 4 h,the MNC rates were increased in a dose-response manner(DDVP:r=0.955,P

OBJECTIVE:To establish a HPLC method for the quantitative determination of loratadine(Lor),paracetamol(Par)and pseudoephedrine sulfate(Pse)in loratadine paracetamol pseudoephedrine sulfate sustained-release tablets(LPPST). METHODS:The HPLC method was carried out on Kromasil-C 18 column(250mm?4.6mm,5?m).The mobile phase consisted of a mixture of methanol-sodium acetate(0.82g in1000ml)(2000∶1000)for paracetamol with detection at243nm.The mo?bile phase consisted of a mixture of acetic acid-methanol-1%(V/V)sodium lauryl sulfate(0.1∶70∶30)for loratadine and pseudoephedrine sulfate with detection at257nm.RESULTS:The calibration curve was linear in the range of13.79~55.18?g/ml for paracetamol(r=0.9999),0.013~0.105mg/ml for loratadine(r=0.9999),0.30~2.37mg/ml for pseudoephedrine sul?fate(r=0.9999).The average recoveries were99.89%(RSD=0.43%),99.69%(RSD=0.20%)and99.57%(RSD=0.10%)for three above-mentioned components respectively(n=6).CONCLUSION:This method is accurate and reliable for the quality control of this compound preparation.

Objective To discuss the effects of relying on social groups, membership and health education on the quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods 110 patients with type 2 diabetes as social group members were randomly selected as the intervention group,meanwhile,113 cases of nonsocial group members were set as the control group.Quality of Life Scale(SF-36) was adopted to assess the survival quality. All patients were given follow-up after six months to score again. Results There was no significant difference in each dimension score between the two groups before the intervention. After six months follow-up,the control group in each dimension score showed no obvious difference compared with half a year ago. While in the intervention group, the difference was statistically significant in dimension of general health, vitality, emotional functions, mental health and social function compared with half a year ago. Conclusions The quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes can be improved by the establishment of social organizations and health education.
