1.Progress of mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase in cardioprotection

Mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase(ALDH2),one of the isoforms of aldehyde dehydrogenase,has multiple enzymatic functions including the activity of dehydrogenase and esterase.The metabolisms of ethanol,amino acids,biogenic amine,vitamin or steroid in the body produce various substances of aldehyde.With the help of co-factor NAD(P)+,ALDH2 can convert aldehydes into corresponding carboxylic acid,which plays a key role in reducing toxic effects of aldehydes on the body.It does not need co-factor when ALDH2 works as esterase.It can convert carboxylic ester or other acids into corresponding carboxylic acids or alcohols.Recently,it has been shown that the decrease of ALDH2 activity exacerbates multiple factors(such as ethanol,ischemia)-induced myocardial injury and accelerates the development of nitroglycerin tolerance.Therefore,the development of specific agonists of ALDH2 may provide a novel approach to the therapy and prevention of heart diseases.
3.Antibiotics Resistance Status Changing among 3 Kinds of Bacteria in Enterobacteriaceae

OBJECTIVE To investigate the drug resistance status of Klebsiella pneumoniae,Escherichia coli and(Enterobacter cloacae) for reasonable use of antibiotics. METHODS After genus identification,drug resistance profile was analyzed by K-B method. RESULTS The predominant isolates from Enterobacteriaceae were(K.penumoniae) and E.coli.The resistant rate of the three commonly encountered bacteria in Enterobacteriaceae to antibiotics ascended yearly,with increasing isolates harboring ESBLs from 16.5%(2000) to 32.4%(2004). CONCLUSIONS Rational use of antibiotics should be obey the results of laboratory antibiotics susceptibility test to control the increasing trend and forbid outbreak of resistance.
4.Resistance Status Trend of Common Bacteria to Ciprofloxacin in Hospital

OBJECTIVE To investigate drug resistance status of common bacteria to ciprofloxacin in hospital for reasonable use of antibiotics.METHODS After genus identification,drug resistance profile was analyzed by K-B method.RESULTS The resistant rate of common bacteria to ciprofloxacin ascended yearly from 40.8%(2000) to(51.7%)(2004),which predominated with Escherichia coli,coagulase negative Staphylococcus and S.aureus,respectively.CONCLUSIONS Rational use of fluoroquinolones should be obey the results of laboratory antibiotics suceptibility test to control the increasing trend of resistance.
5.Treatment of diastematomyelia by operation

[Objective]To evaluate the clinical treatment results for diastematomyelia treated by operation. [Method]Data from patients with diastematomyelia admitted to our hospital from May 1978 to January 2006 were reviewed. According to the classification, there were single-tube in 25 and double-tube in 96 patients. One hundred and two patients with diastematomyelia were treated by operation and ninteen by conservative treatment. The clinical results were retrospectively analyzed according to scoring neural function and monitoring the peak P40 of posterior trivial nerve cortical somatosensory evoked potential (PTNCSEP) before and after treatment.[Result]The total operative effective rate of double-tube diastematomyelia amounted to 86% during a follow-up period of 6 months to 15 years,more significant in patients with pain.The scores of neural function and PTNCSEP were significantly improved. But patients with single-tube diastematomyelia had no obvious change after operation.[Conclusion]The spinal cord is damaged severely in double-tube diastematomyelia and gradually aggravated.Operation can get symptomatic relief in many patients and terminate spinal cord lesion. So operation should be performed as soon as the diagnosis is made. The spinal cord is damaged slightly in single-tube diastematomyelia and surgery is not indicated.
6.Effect of Panax notoginseng saponins on anti-platelet aggregation

Objective To observe the effects of Panax notoginseng saponins and aspirin on platelet aggregation and analyzed resistance probability.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with cerebral infarction were di-vided randomly into Panax notoginseng saponins group and the aspirin group (each group 30 cases),respectively treated with adenosine diphosphatc (ADP),arachidonic acid (AA) to induced and detect the largest platelet aggre-gation (MAR).All patients received platelet aggregation test in hospital on the first and 14th day.Results In Pa-nax notoginseng saponins group and the aspirin group platelet aggregation induced by gents in the same role did not show statistical significance.There were resistances,semi-resistance phenomenon.Conclusions Panax notogin-seng saponins on platelet aggregation and the impact of aspirin was not significant; it may be used as anti-platelet aggregation drug,but there is also the resistance phenomenon.By combining Panax notoginseng saponins other an-ti-platelet drug anti-platelet aggregation of the long-term clinical.It might solve the resistance problem through large-scale clinical trials.
7.Analysis on results of neonatal ABO blood group reciprocal stereotypy and crossmatching test

Objective To analyze the coincidence situation of the results of neonatal ABO blood group reciprocal stereotypy with crossmatching test of allotype blood and to investigating the limitations of cross-matching test in infant blood transfusion and effec-tive measures for ensuring the neonatal safe blood transfusion.Methods The micro-column gel test was adopted to identify the ABO blood group and conduct the crosshatching test of allotype blood in 1 095 cases of neonatal blood samples.Results Among the 1 095 samples,the detected rates of weak A and weak B antigen were 3.99% and 17.93% respectively,and the weak B antigen was predominant.The negative rates of anti-A and anti-B antibody were 53.72% and 60.70% respectively;in the cross-matching test with allotype blood,the main side without appearing agglutination accounted for 52.87% and weak agglutination accounted for 33.27%,and the secondary side appearing weak agglutination accounted for 9.49%.Conclusion The maturity of antibody and an-tigen and the coincidence rates of group typing and reciprocal stereotypy in the newborns are less than those in the adults;so blood transfusion according to the cross-matching test results has certain limitation;high attention should be paid to the accuracy of neo-natal ABO blood type,the individual blood transfusion strategy in the newborn should be determined in order to avoid hemolytic blood transfusion reaction caused by ABO allotype blood transfusion and ensure the blood transfusion safety in newborns.
8.Investigation of the Item Labeling in the Instructions of Domestic Clindamycin Phosphate Injection

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for the instructions of domestic Clindamycin phosphate injection. METHODS:The contents in the instructions of domestic Clindamycin phosphate injection approved the listing from Jan. 2006 to Dec. 2015 were statistically investigated according to Regulation for Drug Package Inserts and Label Management and Regulatory Guidelines for Chemicals and Biologicals,and the items with great differences in different approval number were analyzed comparatively. RE-SULTS:The labeling rate of clinical experiment in the collected 25 instructions of domestic Clindamycin phosphate injection was 0,the labeling rate of validity was 44%,the labeling rate of use for elderly patients was 68%,the labeling rate of overdosage was 76%,and the labeling rate of others was 100%. The items with great differences were mainly special populations,usage and dos-age,adverse reactions,validity,storage conditions and precautions. CONCLUSIONS:There are great differences in instructions of domestic Clindamycin phosphate injection,some items are inaccurate,incomplete and lack of scientificity,which may result in ir-rational drug use in patients and increase the risk of medication. It is suggested that the domestic enterprises should modify and per-fect the contents of the instructions of domestic Clindamycin phosphate injections referring to the instructions of foreign brand name drug;and the drug regulatory department should strengthen the monitoring of drug instructions.
9.Establishment and evaluation on SD rats model with yang-deficiency and constipation

Aim To establish and evaluate Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats model with yang-deficiency and constipation at the direction of traditional Chinese medicine theories. Methods Rats model with yang-deficiency and constipation were induced by orally administration of white vinegar and active carbon-ice water. Changes of model rats in common biological characteristic, the number and time of excretion stool, colonic electromyography, gastrointestinal hormones and intestinal neurotransmitters were observed. Results Compared to the control group: changes of the model group in common biological characteristic including abdominal distension, puffed and withered hair, sluggish response, falling body weight, black and dry stool; Excretion time of the first granule stool became longer; Number of excretion stool within six hours became shorter; Intestine pushing rate decreased, and secretion of gastrointestinal hormones and intestinal neurotransmitters disordered, etc. After being treated with Tongbianling, the syndrome and indexes of model rats markedly improved. After 6 days′ resume, the model group in the experiment of excreting stool had markedly signification in comparison with the control group. Conclusion SD rats model with yang-deficiency and constipation could be stably established by administering white vinegar and active carbon-ice water.
