As natural components of the environment,air and water,geomagnetic field plays an important role,which is closely related to growth and evolution for living organisms. Being off earth magnetic field,biological effects would be fetched out. Settled in the Moon and long-term interplanetary space flight,human being and other biological objects would experience extremely low magnetic fields. In addition,weaker magnetic fields exist in some artificial environment,such as artificial magnetic shielding experimental room,submarine etc. Since 1970s,biological effects of hypomagnetic environment and zero-magnetic environment have continuously studied. Paper analysis plays an important role in teaching improvement as well as in its quality enhancement.We have developed a set of software for analyzing paper qualities,which will make paper analysis efficient,practical and standardizing.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the determination of EPA and DHA in ray oil.METHODS:The determination was carried out on Diamonsil C18 column.The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water(95 :5) with flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1 and detection wavelength set at 220 nm.The column temperature was set at 25 ℃.RESULTS:The linear ranges were 1～4 ?g for EPA(r=0.999 1) and 2～8 ?g for DHA(r=0.999 4).The average recoveries were 99.23% for EPA(RSD=0.49%) and 99.30% for DHA(RSD=0.27%).CONCLUSION:The method is simple,rapid,accurate and reproducible for the detection of EPA and DHA in ray oil.

Objective To evaluate the value of color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) in diagnosis of choroidal melanoma.Methods A comparative analysis was carried retrospectively on sonograms,pathological and clinical data of 13 choroidal melanoma cases,confirmed by pathology and operation.Results The pre-operative diagnosing rate of choroidal malignant melanoma by CDFI in the study was 100%.The sonogram features were divided into three types: hemispherical type,mushroom type and diffusive type.Conclusions Characters of blood flow signal of intraocular occupying lesions were valuable to distinguish choroidal malignant melanoma from other diseases.

BACKGROUND: Long-term utilization of steroid hormone easily induces avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH). Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum possesses bone growth factor and can promote wound healing and tissue repairing, which may has effect on treatment of ANFH. OBJECTIVE: To investigate therapeutic effect of antler powder on ANFH induced by corticosteroids in rats. METHODS: Totally 42 male wistar rats were randomly divided into the blank control, model and high-, moderate- and low-dose treatment groups. Exception those in the blank control group, all rats were intragluteally injected with dexamethasone at 30 mg/kg twice per week for 6 weeks to induce ANFH. Then the rats were treated with antler powder by oral gavage at 200, 400 and 800 mg/kg dosage, once per day for 60 days. Same volume of physiological saline was gavaged in the blank control and model groups. Serum lipid level and bone mineral density (BMD) of femur were measured, pathological change and expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were investigated. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Steroid hormone intervention resulted in obviously ANFH in rats. After treatment with antler powder, the degree of necrosis was significant reduced. Compared with the model group, BMD were increased, total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, and low density lipoprotein levels were decreased, and the VEGF expression increased in the treatment groups. The results suggest that antler powder has a positive curative effect on ANFH by promoting bone formation, fat metabolism and increasing VEGF expression.

Objective To study the correlation between vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in clear renal cell carcinoma (CRCC).Methods In 60 cases of CRCC and 10 cases of normal renal tissue,immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of COX-2 and VEGF.Results The positive expression rate of COX-2 in CRCC (76.7％) was significantly higher than that in normal renal tissue (20％) (x2 =10.28,P ＜0.01).The positive expression rate of VEGF in CRCC(73.3％) was significantly higher than that in normal renal tissue (20％) (x2 =8.58,P ＜0.01).The expressions of COX-2 and VEGF in CRCC were correlated with each other (r =0.469,P ＜0.01).Conclusions The expressions of COX-2 and VEGF were involved in the pathophysiolical processes of clear renal cell carcinoma.The expression levels of COX-2 and VEGF might be used to evaluate the development of clear renal cell carcinoma.

[Objective]To evaluate the safety and efficacy of total hip resurfacing arthroplasty in treating osteoarthritis secondary to congenital dysplastic hip.[Method]From May 2005 to June 2005,13 hips in 12 cases with osteoarthritis secondary dysplastic hip were adopted in this study.There were 8 females and 4 males,aged from 30 to 59 years,average 47 years.All the 13 hips were subluxation according to Hartofilakidis classification system.Posterolateral approach was used during operation and all the acetabular cups were reconstructed at the true acetabular location.The pronthesis were cementless acetabular cup and cement femoral head.[Result]The average operation time was 110 min,blood loss volume was 387 ml during operation,drainage volume was 200 ml and the extremity was lengthened for about 9 mm.All the incision healed well and there have not any complications such as femoral neck fracture,infection,dislocation and neurovascular injury.Follow-up for 12 to 13 months,all the joints had good or excellent clinical results.The average range of motion of the hip:flexion improved from 106.7? to 120?,abduction improved from 25.8? to 46.4?,external rotation improved from 20.8? to 45?,internal rotation improved from 3.3? to 28.6?.The Harris score increased from 42 preoperatively to 96 postoperatively.Radiographically,the positions of the prostheses were normal,the average abduction angle of the cup was 39?,the average stem-shaft angle wes 141?,the positions of acetabular rotation centre were moved down and medially for average 9 mm and 11.5 mm respectively,the acetabular superolateral bone coverage of the hips was 89.5%,no radiolucent line was observed.[Conclusion]Total hip resurfacing arthroplasty has got good short-term results in the treatment of osteoarthritis secondary to dysplastic hip.Because of the less quantity and short follow-up time,the long-term results and indications for other kinds of dysplastic hip are worthy of further studying.

Objective: To observe the effects of Thermafil obturat ion technique.Methods: 60 premolars with pulp pathema or periapical dese ase were divided into two groups with 30 in each at random,The teeth were treate d and the root canals were obturated by Thermafil obturation technique and later al condensation technique respectively. Preoperative and postoperative radiograp hs of each tooth were taken.
